He stared at the sheet of paper lying on his table. 
It was the chords for her new favourite song and she had searched for them online and 
got them printed, to make him to learn and play it for her on the guitar as usual. 

It was only after she began avoiding him that he began missing her presence. 
She stopped hanging out with them like she always did. 
She wasn’t around to pass him his towel and a bottle of water after their games.
She didn’t flood his phone with calls that weekend to make sure he woke up on time for his band practices.

Tired of seeing a gloomy Hyun Joong and equally crestfallen sister at home, Kyu Jong 
managed to drag her to their practice session one afternoon, along with the excuse that 
they could head out shopping for their mum’s birthday present together after that.

“Watch out!”

Hyun Joong shouted as the ball he had just miskicked flew straight towards the bench 
she was seated at, but it was too quick and hit her right in the chest.

“Mianhae. Are you alright?”

She managed a smile which sent his heart fluttering, and assured him that he was fine.

“It’s ok... I’m fine”

His mind was still on her when he returned to the field and he turned around 
again to check on her, only to find her collapsed on the bench.

“Oppa... I don’t like the hospital...”

He watched as she held on to Kyu Jong’s hands when he was about to leave the ward. 
She glanced at him briefly before turning away and began whispering to Kyu Jong.

“What? Yah, you’re a big girl already. It’s just one night alone in the hospital...”

“Oppa! Must you say it that loud? But I’m really afraid... can you bring me home instead?”

“No. The doctor says you’ll have to stay for the night for observation. 
I’ve got to go, Krystel’s waiting for me”

“Please?”

“I’ll stay... if you don’t mind”

He ended up staying behind in the hospital to keep her company as Kyu Jong insisted 
he had to leave. She was still sulking however after he left, and he tried to cheer her 
up a little, hoping she wouldn’t ignore him.

“You’ll get more wrinkles if you continue frowning like that”

He felt a load lifted off his mind as her frown immediately changed into a 
chuckle and things began warming up between them again.
