Chapter 1

“You must know the real reason Kimmy… why did she leave?”

“To think you still have the cheek to ask… how could you be so dumb oppa? 
Would you be able to take it if you were in her shoes? I would have gone right 
up and slapped my boyfriend if I saw him kissing another girl…”

“Mwoh? You mean she saw it? It wasn’t me really… Yoora just did it suddenly and…”

“What‘s the point of telling me all these? And remember that day you promised to 
come home for dinner and ended up skipping it just because your EX was throwing 
a tantrum for god know what reason? It was her birthday!”

“Omo… why didn‘t you remind me Kimmy?”

Ignoring him, his sister slammed the door as she left the room angrily. 
Kimmy had been the best of friends with Krystel ever since their dad brought 
her home to live with them after saving her from her abusive step dad and 
unreasonable mum. 

His feelings for her grew as time past and they got together eventually, though 
their parents were not supportive of their relationship at first, they decided there 
was no harm since they were not related at all by blood.

“Mianhae oppa… I thought I could be benevolent by letting you return to her side
temporarily, but the truth is I don‘t think I can take it anymore. I can’t take the 
sight of you holding another woman in your arms, even though I know she needs 
you more than I do now...”

He held the piece of letter in his hands and read it over again, tears 
forming in his eyes as he finally understood what went wrong. 

He had been spending quite a bit of time with his ex girlfriend who turned up 
several months ago pleading with him to return to her side, and he didn’t have 
the heart to reject her as she was very ill. He came to an agreement with Krystel 
that it’ll only be temporary while she receives treatment and gets better. 

She never showed any signs of unhappiness and she even visited Yoora in the 
hospital a couple of times, therefore he thought she was coping fine. Until she 
suddenly announced her plans to further her studies in the States and broke up 
with him for good.

“There‘s really nothing going on between us Stel…”

“De, I know. It‘s just me…”

“Anni, why are you saying that?”

“You’ll always be my beloved brother, and I guess it‘s better we remain that way. 
Mianhae… Kyu oppa…”

Mianhae. I was so selfish to not realise how difficult it was on you.
Give me another chance, will you?
