Part 5
Chapter 1

“Urgh… I hate hangovers… ”

Waking up with a heavy head, he sat up on bed in a daze, 
with not much recollection of what happened the night before. 

Scanning through the room, he was shocked to find it in a mess, with his clothes
strewn all over, the side table out of place and the vase toppled. The wardrobe 
was half open and almost emptied except for a few pieces of clothing left behind.

“Omo…”

He looked under the covers and to his horror found himself 
undressed, together traces of blood on the bed sheet.

Flashback

“Don‘t do this Oppa… let me go!”

“Why? Don‘t forget you're my wife… and you're 
not supposed to be thinking about him any more”

“We had an agreement”

“What's that? Nobody keeps them…”

“Oppa stop you're hurting me… Oppa!”

End of Flashback

“Xin…”

He scrambled into his boxers and ran out into the living room, only to find it 
empty and the front door unlocked. 

“Aish!”

Throwing a punch onto the wall, he berated himself as he slowly recalled bits 
and pieces of what happened. 

He had caught his girlfriend in bed with another guy and was outraged. He probably
downed several bottles of liquor at the bar before returning home and the last he
recalled was his wife greeting him at the door, and the rest was blur.

“Yah Park Jung Min! How could you do this to her?!”

The door swung open and a punch landed on his face, and he found himself 
trying to fend off punches from Hyun Joong who looked dead furious.

“Hyung stop it!”

“Don't you think that being legally married gives you the right to violate her”

“I didn't mean to! I was drunk…”

“Excuses… didn't you have an agreement not to have any form of 
contact until you get divorced next year since you were so unwilling?”

“How did you know about it?!”

That everything was just a show. The marriage and all the lovey dovey acts in front of the rest. 
They were childhood friends who had been forced into marriage by their parents. 

Jungmin had a girlfriend whom he wanted to marry and Xin Lin too had a steady boyfriend, 
so they made a secret agreement between themselves to play along and divorce after a year.

“Do you really dislike me that much Oppa? 
One moment you're all so sweet and you act totally different when we're home.
Can't you just be nice for once and make life easier for the both of us?”

“Wae? Are you falling for me? Don't forget it's all an act...”

“I know… but do you have to go to such extremes? 
Here, your carrot juice. There's some left in the fridge if you'd like more”

Staring into the now empty fridge, he recalled the times Xin would knock 
on the door of his study with a freshly blended glass of carrot juice in hand. 

It has been two weeks since she left and he was beginning to miss her for some
strange reason instead of his straying girlfriend whom he had broken up with.

“Why does it feel like I'm the one who's wearing the tie 
everyday instead of you Oppa… can't you tie it properly…”

She wasn’t around to adjust his loosely tied tie in the mornings where he would 
be in a rush to head to the office. His clothes were lying in the laundry basket
unwashed and he was running out of neatly ironed shirts to wear. And he was 
missing the home cooked meals that awaited him when he returned every night.

He couldn’t reach her on her phone since the day she left and he had no clue as 
to where she was right now. She hadn’t been reporting to work at the childcare
centre and he was getting worried by the day. And feeling remorseful.

Where was she? How is she doing? And what if their parents found out?

“Why am I missing you so much? Otokke? ”

Mianhae. For taking you for granted, and for causing you so much hurt.
I’d do anything, if only you could return to my side once again…
