“Don’t worry Young Saeng oppa, you know girls… she’s just feeling a little insecure”

It has been more than a week since he confessed his feelings and went all out to prove that 
he was really serious this time, yet she wasn’t showing any signs of being convinced. 
Sighing as he thought over Alicia’s words, he knew he just had to work 
harder and he wasn’t going to give up just yet.

Young Saeng got ready and made his way to the café where he had 
been visiting everyday to pick her up after work and head for supper. 

Joelle got out of the car after he took a little too long to return from getting
the food and was looking for him when someone came up to her.

“Hey girl, why are you alone at this hour?”

“None of your business…”

Ignoring him, she quickened her steps to shake him off but she soon 
found herself being grabbed from behind by force. 

“Oppa!”

Young Saeng returned to his car to find it empty and began looking around for her.
Following a familiar sounding melody from nearby as he dialled her number, he was 
startled to find her mobile lying on the ground just a few metres away from the car. 

“No… Jojo...”

Running down the road and into every alley he could find around the area, he 
could only hope that she wouldn’t be too far if she wasn’t taken away by a vehicle. 

A scream was heard from nearby and he ran as fast as his legs could take him towards 
the alley to find her being forcefully held by an unknown man who was trying to remove 
her clothes. His blood boiled at the sight and he lunged forward to pull him away. 

“Stop it let’s just leave quickly!”

Joelle could only watch helplessly as they ended up in a tussle on the ground after Young Saeng began 
throwing punches at him. She was dumbfounded when she saw the man pull out something from his pocket.

“Oppa! Knife!”

She attempted to stop them but the man was already plunging his knife 
into Young Saeng’s back not once but several times. He ran off before she 
could stop him, leaving the both of them alone in the alley.

“Oppa!”

“Mianhae… for leaving you alone…”

“Why are you saying these now it’s not even your fault! 
Omo you’re bleeding a lot… phone… where’s my phone!”

Reaching out for the phone which had fallen onto the floor while they were fighting, 
she managed to call the emergency number for help in between sobs. He winced in 
pain as she removed her sweater and pressed it against his back in an attempt to 
stop the bleeding which didn’t look like it was going to stop any time soon. 

“Don’t fall asleep… the ambulance will be here soon…”

Young Saeng felt his body become weaker by the minute and knew he was losing 
consciousness in no time. Whether he was going to wake up again or not, he didn’t know. 

He smiled as he lifted his hand to wipe off the tears that were streaming 
nonstop from her face before whispering his last words to her.

“I love you Jojo…”

“I know I love you too Sunshine… Yah Heo Young Saeng! Wake up! I told you not to sleep!”
