“Where is this place? What am I doing here?”

Hyung Jun was awoken by a sudden jerk and looked up to find Hana awake, looking startled. 
He had fallen asleep beside the bed after watching over her throughout the night.

“My home...because you fell asleep on me? 
And I have no idea where you’re staying because you never let me walk you to your doorstep...”

“You...should have woken me up...”

“You were sleeping like a pig... 
Yah! Do you know how cold it was to be out there at the beach late at night without a jacket? 
Why do I feel as if I have committed a crime instead...”

“Mianhae... 
Omo! Hyung Jun ah, weren’t you supposed to be celebrating with your friends last night?”

“They were late, and I couldn’t leave you alone... so I cancelled it”

“I’m sorry... and thanks... for being around”

“Do I get compensated for it?”

“What the... no?”

“Wae?? I didn’t get to celebrate my birthday because of you...”

“I ran into someone I didn’t want to see because of you... so we’re even”

“That’s not fair I never expected it to happen too! 
I don’t care, I want my compensation”

“Fine fine, what do you want? As long as it’s nothing too ridiculous...”

“I’ll think about it and let you know again. I'm hungry.
Go get washed up and we’ll go out for lunch”

“I know, how about I make you a meal?”

“What? Are you sure it’s edible?”

“Forget it then. I’m going home after this. My mum must be worried”

“Hey I haven’t had my say yet! I want my meal...”

And it was the best birthday gift he got.
He remembered watching her as she prepared the meal with passion in the kitchen,
another side of her which he had never seen, and it made him fall even deeper.

He finally got to know where she was staying when he sent her home after that.
But that was because they bumped into her mum who was out for a walk, and she invited him over. 

They had a little conversation while Hana was preparing tea and he found out about her agony 
of seeing her daughter work so hard, and fears of her being all alone when she’s gone.

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of her”

“Am I hearing things?”

“Why are you eavesdropping on our conversation?”

“I’m not... this is my home and it’s my mum you’re talking to”

“Fine...”

“Are you sure you can do it?”

“Why not?”

“Prove it...”

And she surprised him by passing him a broom, which he had never before in his life ever held.

“Do you know how to sweep the floor?”

“...”

“And to think you can even claim to be able to take care of someone 
when you don’t even know how to do the most basic chores....”

He could only admit that, she really had her way with him.
