Chapter 3

“Jungmin shi, alone today? Where's your wife?”

“Oh, she's a little unwell and resting at home…”

“I see, do send my regards to her”

“De, thank you”

Jungmin smiled as he replied yet another person at the function. He had lost count 
of the number of times he had repeated the question, and he was beginning to feel 
bored. He never liked corporate events like these, much less without her around.

Walking around the ballroom aimlessly, he found himself standing in front of the buffet table.

Flashback

“Oppa…”

“Wae?”

“Can you not grip on to me so tightly?”

“You're not supposed to be with another guy during corporate functions.. remember?”

“But we were just having a conversation…”

“Don't you wander off without me again”

“De… can we go get some desserts?”

“Jungmin ah, where's Xin?”

“Xin… she's out shopping Omma. Wae?”

“Oh, no wonder I couldn‘t get her on her mobile. It‘s alright then I‘ll call again another day. 
Have you been good to your wife? Remember I'll come after you if you make her upset”

“Yah Omma… why are you favoring her over your own son? Ah arasso arasso”

Sighing as he hung up the phone, he wondered how long would it be before their parents 
found out about her leaving home. 

He made his way to the living room and the television as he sat down on the couch. 
The house was way too quiet without her around.

Flashback

“Oppa, the movie's starting, wanna watch?”

“I still have some work to do”

“Can't you just spare 2 hours of your time for a break… you'll never be able to finish it anyway”

“…”

“No violent objection? It's a yes then. I'll get some chips and drink from the kitchen!”

End of Flashback

“Yah… how dare you just walk out of my life and leave me all alone in this house?!”

His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door and he opened 
it to find Kyu Jong outside, with a look of concern over his face.

“Hyung…”

“Kyu? What brings you here?”

He asked upon sitting down on the couch once again.

“Did anything happen between you and Xin?”

“What? You met up with her? What did she say? Where is she?”

“Well she came to me saying she didn't trust any one else to do it and told me to keep it a secret…”

Kyu Jong revealed a folder from his bag and handed it to Jungmin, who took it immediately 
and got hold of its contents.

Writ for Divorce

“Yah… what is this?”

“She wants you to sign it…”

“Wae?!”

“She was saying it was for the benefit of the both of you”

“What benefit? Where is she? Do you have her contact?”

“I don't know… she said she'll come to my office again next week”

“I'll see you at your office then…”
