Part 3 - Chapter 7
Only One Day
Young Saeng closed his eyes as pushed Joelle to the side and used himself to shield
her from the possible impact which might result from the soon to happen crash, and
heaved a sigh of relief when the person managed to dodge in time and brushed right
past them as he skied down the slope.
“You ok?”
She managed a smile and nodded, still in a daze from the near encounter with an accident.
It was only then when he realised that their faces were just a few inches apart and he felt
his face flush from embarrassment. He was about to pick himself up when someone came
crashing into him suddenly, resulting in him falling flat onto Joelle and meeting her lips.
“Oh sorry… hyung… bonus”
Hyung Jun gave him another wink before skiing away quickly.
“Kim Hyung Jun!”
He stopped in his tracks when he heard Joelle screaming at him and turned back just
in time to see her falling back again onto Young Saeng who was trying to hold on to her.
“Opps… I didn’t see anything!”

“Why are you turning my office into a florist shop”
Jungmin grumbled as Joelle returned to the office with yet another bouquet of roses presumably
from Young Saeng. She had been receiving them for over a week now and their office was
now filled with roses of all shades of colours.
“Sorry I don’t mean to but…”
“He’s that sunshine boy right from the café we used to work right?”
“You remembered him?”
“Yeah not only that. I remember someone used to change her shift just to be able
to work on that particular day of the week when he visits with his then girlfriend
and force me to the cashier so that she could prepare and serve his drink”
“Oppa! Can’t believe you’re so petty to remember it till now… I’m sorry about it then…”
“Yah what are you waiting for?”
“Huh?”
“You’ve been crushing on him for the longest time and now he’s hot on your heels you’re undecided”
“I don’t know…”
Flashback
“Jojo, will you be my girlfriend?”
“Mwoh? Uh… for odd or even days of the week when your girlfriends are not free?
Weekends are my rest days…”
“Waeyo? I don’t have any! I’m serious… I can’t shine without you my star…”
“…”
“You don’t have to give me an answer now, I’ll wait for you”
End of Flashback
She recalled the night when he confessed his feelings after sending her home from the ski resort.
The pout when she , the earnest eyes and assuring voice when he said he would wait.
And the fact he had remembered her from their brief meeting several years back.
She couldn’t deny that she was overjoyed from deep within, yet another
part of her held back feeling uncertain of what the future might bring.
“You know it best, just don’t make him wait too long”
