“Unless you learn how to take your life seriously, don’t expect others to believe in you”

Her last words as she left. They have been repeating in his mind. 

He recalled the day she left the office with her stuff, all 
thanks to him screwing up a major project that got her fired. 

He should have heeded her repeated warnings instead of forcing her 
to accompany him for everything else other than work during office hours. 

Movies, shopping sprees, singing sessions… he never saw the need to work. 
For his dad was the president of the company and he was the heir to it. 

Never would he have thought that his dad would force her 
out of the company instead, for the mistakes he had made.

“Do you know how much that deal cost us?”

“Anni… it’s just one project Appa. It shouldn’t affect us much”

She tugged at his hands, hinting at him to watch his 
words as they stood in front of his fuming dad. 

They had just lost a major deal because he had 
infuriated the client by turning up late at the meeting.

“What were you doing as his assistant Hana? 
I told you to keep a close watch on him. You’ve disappointed me”

“I’m sorry”

That was all she said. There was nothing else she could do to salvage anything.

“I’ll talk to him again about it Hana”

“Is he your dad or mine? You should know him better”

“But it really wasn’t your fault. I was the one who turned up late at the meeting”

“Hyung Jun ah, it’s time you learnt to be more serious about life and appreciate what you have”

She removed his hands from hers and left. 
He thought he would be able to change his dad’s mind about his decision, but he failed. 

A week later, he went to her place and found it empty. 
Her mobile line was terminated and none of her close friends had any idea where she was.

I know I’ve done wrong. 
I promise I’ll do my best and be a better person from now on for you. 

But where are you?
