“Are you okay?” Minho asked in a slightly concerned voice as I had been deep in thought.

“About what you said...” I said smiling, ignoring his question, eagerly wanting to tell him something.

....

Minho looked at me with a slightly confused face.

“About what I said about my bruises not hurting that much? Or?” Minho asked with furrowed eyebrows as a cute smile appeared on his lips.

“No, no not that,” I said smiling as I lightly shook my head, trying not to cause too much pain to it, “no I was talking about earlier, you know, when we were at Kris’s.”

Minho just stared at the air for a second before he realized what I was talking about and quickly turned back to me with a slightly nervous look. His eyebrows were slightly furrowed as he flashed me an awkward smile before raising his hand to his hair where he slowly ran it through his curls.

“Oh,” he said, sounding slightly surprised, “right. You heard that.”

“I did,” I said as I had to bit my lip for not revealing my huge smile.

I felt my heart start beating faster as I guess some of Minho’s nervousness infected me too. Minho looked nervously down at his feet before meeting my gaze again.

“so, um, well...” he started, his eyes quickly flicking to the floor before meeting my eyes again, “I mean, yeah, it’s true, you know.”

I felt my smile grow as I heard his words. As he saw my smile, his grew as well, He seemed kind of relieved that I was smiling and continued a bit more relaxed.

“I know I should have told you, [YN], I just didn’t want to ruin anything. I mean, I was going to tell you, but then you suddenly met Kris and yeah, I couldn’t really tell you when you were with him...”

His eyes fell to the floor and as they did, I felt kind of bad about it all. I wished we both had known about each other’s feelings. We could have dodged this huge bullet named Kris if we just had known. My eyes fell to look at the duvet.

“I’m sorry,” I said as I reached out to grab Minho’s hand, gently squeezing it in mine, “I wish I had known about all this... It would have changed a lot.”

As I turned to meet Minho’s gaze, I found two slightly confused eyes. Did I say something wrong? I quickly thought trough what I had said, but I couldn’t find a reason to Minho’s surprised and confused face.

“How would it?” he started, flashing a quite awkward smile, “I mean, you liked Kris at that time so it wouldn’t have worked out anyways.”

He was playing kind of nervously with my hand as I guess this was a pretty sensitive and serious topic. Did he really think I didn’t like him at that time? I tried to meet his gaze, but his eyes were focused on out linked hands. I gently squeezed his hand, causing him to look at me. I smiled as I saw his cute, nervous expression as he lightly bit his lip. 

“Minho, I liked you... before Kris,” I said while trying my best not to let my nervousness keep me from looking at his eyes, “I just thought you would never feel the same way so when Kris came along and I got feelings for him on some level, I just thought I would go for it so I could and, you know, push my feelings for you aside and just focus on our friendship.” 

I took a deep breath before letting out a nervous, quick laugh. I couldn’t believe I had just told him all this. I had never told anyone about my feelings for him. I had always just kept it to myself, thinking it would be for the best and now I had just told Minho. I felt myself starting biting my lip nervously, but stopped as soon as I saw Minho’s eyes. They had suddenly lit up. I couldn’t help but smile a bit before looking down at my duvet. Maybe my heart had been beating a little faster before, but now it was pounding like crazy. I felt a soft, warm hand gently touch my cheek before looking up to meet Minho’s gaze.

“You did?” he asked me with the biggest smile on his face.

I actually think my heart may have skipped a beat in that second. He was so close to me and his big, charming smile started this kind of lightening in my stomach that spread with the most wonderful feeling to the rest of my body, letting all the butterflies loose. I couldn’t help but gaze into his deep, brown eyes, getting lost in them as I nodded slowly, answering his question. At this point I had almost forgotten about my headache which really said something because it hurt like hell. I just forgot about it staring into those sparkling, beautiful eyes of his.

“And now?” he asked as my eyes fell to his perfect lips as they spoke, “How do you feel now?”

I smiled as I met his gaze once again, causing the butterflies in my stomach to flutter even more. After our night I bet he already knew how I was feeling about him. Of course I was crazy about him. I liked him. No, I loved him. I really did. A warm feeling inside of me spread as I thought about it. I really loved him.

“Well,” I started as I lightly bit my lower lip, “those feelings have only grown stronger now.”

I couldn’t help but let my eyes fall to the duvet as a wide smile spread on my face. I really wasn’t used to pour my heart out like this. I actually didn’t think I ever had tried it. Not like this. I felt a light finger push from under my chin, forcing me to meet Minho’s eyes again. His smile had widened and he was biting his lip as he gazed into my eyes.

“Stronger you say,” he said with a cute grin as he squeezed my hand lightly.

I didn’t think I had ever felt this good. I had the best feeling inside and I couldn’t help but flash my big smile as Minho placed a soft hand on my cheek, it gently. I nodded lightly without taking my eyes away from his at any time. As he bit his lip, his eyes fell to focus on my lips, eagerly wanting them closer. He slowly started leaning in as I couldn’t help but look at his lips as well. They looked so soft and really tempting. When we were only inches apart, he lifted his hand from mine, placing it on my other cheek, gently holding my head in his hands. As I looked at his eyes again, they were already on mine. 

“[YN],” he said in a soft, low voice, his warm breath tickling my lips, “I lo-“

“Knock, knock, how’s the patient?”

I quickly turned to look at the person entering the room in surprise, causing me to remember my headache again. Minho quickly moved away as he too turned to look at Onew  standing in the door. I furrowed my eyebrows in pain as I placed my hand on top of it, trying to make the pain go away. 

“[YN], are you alright?” Onew said nervously as he saw me in pain, running to my bed, not sensing at all what had been going on just seconds before.

“I’m okay,” I said as I flashed a weak smile before feeling Minho’s soft hand my cheek gently.

A moment after the others came back from the cafeteria and gathered around my bed. Even though they were asking a lot of questions, I just kept thinking about what Minho was going to say before. I mean, I kind of already knew what it was, but... he just hadn’t said it to me yet. Not directly. And I really wanted to hear him say it and tell him myself.

The others didn’t leave the room before I got permission to leave as well. As I had gotten a lot of painkillers on prescription, I was allowed to go home, but only to rest. We all decided to go to Minho’ place again, partly because all the other guys’ stuff were already there for the movie night and partly because Minho didn’t want me to be anywhere else than with him. Of course I was more than happy with that.
