Chapter 10

“Did anyone else notice a position that was not mentioned?”

A murmur went through the crowd but the answer came from Hongbin backstage. “LEADER!”

Yhinny glanced over and saw him and flashed him a smile. “That’s right; we do not have a leader in Triple T. The reason is because our leader never came over from our original group. The other members and I…” She stopped to look at Trina and Summer who both nodded encouragingly while Trina had her arm linked through Melody’s to prevent her from bolting. “We’ve decided we are only going to continue performing if we can do it under the group we started as, which means our leader, performs with us. I’m sure you have guessed by now but that person is none other than Melody.”

Melody looked at them imploringly and shook her head.

Trina whispered softly to her, “Please Unni. At least once please perform with us.”

Melody’s heart wrenched at the look upon the girl’s faces. As much as she knew this was probably a bad idea she finally conceded defeat and nodded.

Summer literally bounced with excitement, “Can I do it, please can I introduce us?” The others laughed and nodded.

She raised the microphone to her lips, her excitement contagious, “All right everyone! Let me introduce you to who Triple T really is!”

The members all bowed, “Annyeong Haseyo we are 4D. Determined, driven, dancing, divas! And we are going to perform our original song, “How can I love him?”

Yhinny took a step forward and her words flowed together as she rapped. “Yeah, okay, listen up, this song is for all you girls that have ever fallen in love with someone who doesn’t know you exist. For those who are too afraid to take the leap and tell him, how can you love him? Take the chance and find a way, don’t waste another day.”

Ravi cheered as Yhinny finished. She could use a little more work on her rapping but she had done well and he wouldn’t mind teaching her at all.

The members of VIXX all stared intently when they saw Melody moving towards the front.

Melody took a deep breath and let the music flow over her as she started dancing with the others and raised the microphone to her lips and let her husky voice wash over the crowd as she sang.

“He doesn’t even know I exist.....   my voice is one he will never hear.....I’m just a nameless woman among the others.....A silly fool who can’t hold back a tear.”

Trina took the lead dancing as she sang her part, “We’ve never even met, never spoken.....    but my heart races when he comes on my screen.....  it’s like he’s right here singing next to me.....  he’s not so far away with oceans in between”

The four met back up in the center of the stage as they faced the crowd and put their right hands over their hearts before bring them forward to wave in front of them.

“Is this really love? How can I love him?.......  I’m here pouring out my heart but can he even hear me?..... Putting it out there for everyone to know I’m going out on a limb.”

Melody’s voice soared as she sang.

Leo’s gaze sharpened as he watched Melody and the passion she put into her singing and dancing. There was an intensity in her that he didn’t see in the others although they were all very talented.

“He rarely smiles but my heart knows...... his soul is gentle and kind......If he knew I wonder how he would feel...... I wonder if he would mind”

N smiled widely, he knew who this song was about now. Looking at Ken the two shared a knowing look.

A sweet voice announced Summer’s lines as she moved toward the front of the stage and pretending to faint.

“If I met him what would I do?....... Would I even be able to breathe or even speak ?..... Could I even tell him how I felt .....talking above my thundering heart and legs that are weak?”

“Is this really love? How can I love him? ....... I’m here pouring out my heart but can he even hear me?....  Putting it out there for everyone to know I’m going out on a limb.”

Melody went off to the corner of the stage and her expression was sad.

“How can I love him? How can I love someone I can never be with? Tell me…how can I love him?” Her voice quivered at the end sharing her emotion with the audience.

Thunderous applause and cheers came from the crowd as the four gathered together to hold hands and bow….
