5 Years Later

“Hurry up-“

“Sehun, stop tip toeing, you’re already tall enough—“

“You’re blocking my face-“

“Jongin…where do you think you’re putting your hand?”

“Opps, bad hand, bad hand-“

“Um…PDA…?”

“Maybe we should actually take a good picture for once. It’s not everyday we all get together like this-“

“Why can’t I buy the new season?”

“Because you just used 1K on clothes last week, Tao-“

“Your hair is really fluffy!”

“Is it?”

“Guys. Guys! Stop moving so much its counting down!”

There’s a click then a flash.

Jongin has an arm around my waist. Chanyeol is sticking out his tongue at us along with throwing a peace sign. Sehun stands at my right with Luhan standing on his toes to appear taller. They’re both laughing. To their right stands Baekhyun and Yoonmi too busy focusing on each other to look totally at the camera, Kris rolling his eyes and Tao pouting and pulling on the other’s lapel while Suho’s looking on at them with an amused smile, Kyungsoo caught with an angry face because he’s being pushed to the front due to his height, Chen is the one pushing, Minseok is standing with a straight back looking professional next to the comical faces. In the front row sitting, my parents sit before me, my hands on their shoulder, smiles on their faces, Woomin (older now and even more mature) sits next to Danmi while messing up Yixing’s hair, Yixing sitting next to them in the midst of a laugh. 

Here we are. Broken misfit pieces of a grand puzzle that somehow managed to fit regardless of all the rips and uneven edges that stood in our way.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

wow has this fic been a journey. I thank all of you for reading and/or subscribing, and for dealing with my very long hiatuses (is that how you spell it?). I hope none of you are disappointed with the outcome and ending of this story, but I suppose I can't please all. All I can do is hope for the very best. I am content with this fic, even with all its issues, and for once I feel very accomplished. However, contentment won't stop me from going back into the other chapters occasionally and fixing spelling/grammar issues and/or plot inconsistencies. If you do see more updates/notifications coming from this particular fic, it's probably just me fixing some things. But do look out for a preview of a possible sequel to this one in the future. Also, if any of you have been waiting for updates on my Dissipate fic, I'm currently reevaluating it. I'm not quite sure if I'll continue it due to some discomfort it might cause some readers what with Luhan leaving EXO. Perhaps I'll put a poll up in the near future and let you all decide whether or not Dissipate should be continued. Again, I cannot thank you enough for loving A Taste of Temptation. It certainly has been such a wonderful experience writing it, getting to know my own characters, and receiving so much support in the comments. Goodbye for now. xoxo, Val
