Haejin POV:

 

"Kids.. This is the park mommy has been telling you about... Remember what it is called? " i asked

" Neh! Han river! " sungjin chirped

" Neh my smart girl ! " i pecked his lips. " So , like what mommy had told you , we should sit here and enjoy the river's view with an ice cream... Who wants ice cream???? " 

Both Sunghyun and SungJin were nodding their heads vigourously , implementing their huge desire for ice cream

" Arrasso. Let's go get it.. What flavours would you want? ' i asked

" Strawberry!" Sungjin stated

" choc-cho-choc-chocolati " Sunghyun tried to pronounce his words

" Aww slow it down young man.. It is cho-co-late ." I broke it down for him

* he is so young yet he could already speak choppy english was what i was amused about him *

 

" Ahjussi.. Can i have one chocolate , one strawberry and a mint ice cream? all in cups. " i ordered

" Neh! Coming right up! "

I sat them in their new pram i bought , it was a dual pram. Convenient for me to push them all around.

" CLean your hands " I passed them each a wet tissue paper , ordering them to get their fingers cleaned

 

The long wait has ended , the ice cream were ready.

I passed their ice creams to them and they devoured it hungrily.

i laughed at how cute they were

" Slow it down my kids... The ice cream is not going to run away... " Thank god i put on a bib for Sunghyun. He ate messily

I pushed them to the bench i love and stared at the view.

I smiled while recalling the times when I was out with Sungjae on a date.

" Mommy .. what are you thinking? " Sungjin asked

" This place was where mommy and daddy always meet.. " I smiled at her

" Here? It is so pretty.. No wonder mommy and daddy loves it.. " she smiled

I looked around and remembered a scene

 

" YAH! My ice cream! " I shouted at sungjae.

" Yummy , it taste soo nice ! Mint is amazing! Who asked you not to pay any attention to your ice cream! " he ran away

" This boy! " I chased him around the park , laughing away at our childishness

 

" Mommy? " she shook me hard

" n-neh? " i asked

" Can we go see appa now? " she asked

" You want to go see daddy? Now? Let's see if they allow alright? " i told her 

I started cleaning up their mess before depaarting towards the car park.

" Put on your seats belts !"  i sang

" Cheeecked! " Sungjin helped put on her's and her brother's seat belt

" Doors locked? " she asked

" Checked!! " i said

" Chuuuballllll (let's go) " i laughed

 

During the car ride ,

" Mommy ? " Sungjin asked

" yeah? "

" Can we buy coffee? "

" why? " i asked curiously

" Daddy likes coffee... " she said innocently

Thats when i remembered , ' ahhh... Sungjae oppa likes americano...'

" Lets go... To daddy's favourite coffee house! " I took a right turn and headed towards his favourite shop.

 

I carried them inside the shop as i gasped at the changes in the shop..

" Haejin? Jinnie? " i turned around and saw the shop keeper

" Ahjumeoniiii! " i cried

" Ah! my little girl! Where have you been ?? it has been a long time since i saw you... "

" Ah about that ... long story... " i shyly said

" take a seat.. I'll get you the usual! Is Sung jae coming? "

" Ani... Make his a take away. " i told her

" And another for kevin appa... " Sungjin shouted

" Ahjumeonni... Another americano take away.. " 

" Arrasso!! " 

 

 we waited at the usual corner we always sat.

" here it is! " She settled them on the table and sat opposite me

" Thanks... " i said as i held up the drink

" Here... apple juice for both of you.. " She passed them to Sungjin and Sunghyun.

" thank you ahjumeoni! " i laughed

" So! how is life? I;ve read the news.. Sungjae.. landed in the hospital. "

" Yeah.. It was my fault ahjumma... I caused it... " i let down my head

" Whatever it is.. I know there is definitely a reason to what happened... But now you know your in the wrong , you should make it up... "

I stared at her

" Sungjae has always been patronizing this shop every week whenever he has no schedules.. He would sit at your seat and stared outside for hours... I've asked him what was bothering him and why you werent here... He just shrugged it off.... I knew something has happened... Ahjumma hopes that through this experience , you two will be even closer than before... " She told me

" Ahjumma... This whole thing that happened was because i didn't understand and plus i misunderstood him... If only i had listened to that stupid boy.. None of this would have happened."

" Aigoo.. the past is the past... Move on...." she smiled before continuing " Now , you ought to take good care of him alright? How is he? "

" Nothing changed.. He is still in bed... coma.... " 

" I'll go visit him one of these days... My poor boy.... Remember what i've said alright? Always listen to others explainaton before making decisions alright? "

I nodded my head 

" Are these his kids? "

" Neh... This is Sungjin and this is Sunghyun... Kids , call halmeoni! " 

They stuttered at their call especially sunghyun

" AIgooo.. cute! They look extremely like sungjae... but their eyes look exceptionally like yours.. Pretty.. " she cooed as she pinched their cheeks

 

We sat there and chatted on and on about what we've missed

Sungjin told ahjumma about how good of her sister she was to her brother. 

Her cuteness was overloaded that even ahjumma couldnt handled it

" Haejin ah"

" Neh ahjummeoni? "

" Aren't going to go find Sungjae now? " She reminded me

" AH!! i almost forgot! I'll take my leave first ahjumma.. here is the money.. No need change !!! " i quickly carried my kids and drinks as i rushed out...

 

 

" Omma forgot about appa! " she teased as i settled them inside the car...

" i didnt! " i lied

But she knew i lied and couldn't stop laughing at me'

We did our usual routine check inside the care before we departed towards the hospital.

 

I pushed them towards the ward.

" Abeoji!! " sungjin leaped off the pram and ran towards him

" Yah! I told you not to do that many times already! " i scolded her but she couldnt hear

" Ahhh my princess!! " Kevin oppa swung her around

" Jinnie ah..." He callled me and hugged me tightly

" Oppa... " i called back

" Abeoji!! Coffee! Sungjin buy for you! " She told Kevin

Kevin picked the coffee up and drank it

" Wah it tastes amazing ! Thank you Sungjin!! Where did you get it from Jinnie? " He asked me

" Sungjae oppa's favourite shop... " i answered

" Oh that......." 

 

Suddenly , 

" AHHH I ALMOST FORGOT ABOUT IT! " he scared me

" what?? " my eyes were wide open

" there were signs of Sung Jae moving just now... " he told me

" Chincha??? " 

he nodded

" i'll go in with the kids now... " i said as he took over the care of Sung jin and Sunghyun first..

i slowly slipped inside the room and saw Sungjae sleeping peacefully.

I walked over to him and held his hand. 

" Oppa.... Yeobo.... I heard you moved? wah! that is a good news.... " i kissed his hand

" Our kids remembered you like americano.. They asked me to buy it.... It is from the shop you love. " 

i opened the lid and left him smell it..

Since it has cooled , i offered the thought of maybe dripping a few drops into his mouth.

" Oppa would you like to try it ? " i asked before taking a straw and took up some coffee and opened his mouth , landing a few drops into his mouth

" Nice? " i asked 

" want some more? " i paused. " hehe!! no more.. if you want , you have to wake up now!!  "

 

Just then his fingers moved.. i caught sight of it

" Oppa... You heard what i said? Did you??? Opppa... Please faster wake upp!!!! I'll bring the kids in now... " i dashed out and brought Sung jin and Sunghyun in

" Say hello to daddy.. He can hear you! " i told him

" Appaaa? " sungjin said as she lied down on his chest...

" App-appp-paaa.. " Sunghyun squealed holding his hands tightly..

" Oppa.. the kids are waiting for you to wake up... You've got to faster wake up.. They are waiting for you....... It has been 1 week already.. You better quickly wake up now....." i told him..

 

After i said it , i saw his eyes moved,

i leaned forward and stared at him.

His eyes slowly opened.

one eye after the other.

He stared blankly above.

" Do you remember who i am? "

" oppa... can you see me? " 

i bombarded him with plenty of questions.

" Haejin... I love you... " Was all he said before he was knocked out back into his sleep.

" yahh!! Opppa!!! Why did you close your eyes again?? Wake up now!!! " I shook him harder

 

" Wae!?? What happened? " Kevin oppa and Minhyuk oppa ran in

" Oppa. woke up.. he said i love you to me and he went back to sleep.... " i cried...

Kevin oppa hugged me tightly and told me to calm down while Mihyuk oppa ran to call the doctor.

 

 

" umma... dont cry.. " Sungjin hugged me tightly , crying...

" Omma is ok... go and take a sit over there with sunghyun while mommy talk to the doctor.." i ushered her towards the seats in the room.

" How is my husband? Why did he sleep again? "

" He seems to be falling through both side of his conscious and unconscious mind... He is showing signs of recovering. Let's pray for the better.. keep talking to him..It will increase the chances of waking up faster.. " He said before taking his leave

 

I ran over to oppa and hugged him tightly. " Faster wake up.. The family needs you dearly now.. Please wake up.. " i hugged him while minhyuk oppa and Kevin oppa stand at one corner "judging" me
