You sat there staring out the small window. The clouds floated as if they were lightless. They reminded you of marsh-mellows with their soft and fluffy Centre. They floated in the sky like foam floating on the surface of an ocean.

"Cheer up!" Your brother’s voice spoke causing you to lift your gaze from the scenery outside. Your brother Chen was leaned back in his seat with his golden headphones covering his ears. He wasn't looking at you but knew you were daydreaming.

"What do you mean cheer up! I was perfectly fine at home!" You snapped dazing out the window once again. Chen gripped the sides of his headphones and lowered them down to his neck.

"Look, mum and dad already told you. They have to concentrate on their work, they don't want you to feel abandoned" he told you.

"I can't fend for myself. I'm not a kid" you answered back.

"___, stop being so stubborn" he let out a sigh "you'll be fine, you'll get used to it in no time" he wrapped his arm around you hoping to make you see the bright side of things.

"Get used to things? It's a different country not just a different school" you pouted. Being an exchange from Korea to China was a big step for you. You've always wanted to travel abroad but not like this. You had friends in Korea and were afraid that you wouldn't be able to make new friends, well not like the friends that you had.

"We will be arriving in China shortly" the words from the pilot echoed through the areoplane. 

"Ready?" Chen began to gather is belongings. You nodded your head slowly and he gave you a reassuring smile.

"So this my room?" You asked as you took a look around the house where you would be staying until your parents were finished with there work. 

"Yeah, this one is mine" Chen pointed to the room next to yours. Outside the rooms was a living room that was attached to the kitchen. It was a good size for two people. You pushed the light coloured oak door open to your room. 

"Not bad" you mumbled looking around the modern styled room. You set your suitcase on the bed and analysed the room more. 'This is really nice!' you thought in your head. 

"Do you want me to show you around?" Chen's voice called from outside your room. "You start school tomorrow, I'll show you where it is". 'School already? I didn't even get time to settle in yet' you thought in your head but knew it wasn't your brothers fault so you decided to keep it in.

"Yeah that would be great" you left you suitcase on the bed with intentions of sorting it out later. Chen showed you around the area as he often visits china to see his friends and he used to live here for a while.

"So there is your school" he pointed to a pair of black gates which lead to an average school building. 'The way mum and dad were talking about it they made it sound unique' you thought as you looked at the school. It was surrounded by mini trees and gardens. There was a fountain in one part which made it stand out. 'Maybe it's ok' you let out a sigh.

"It's ok I guess"  you spoke aloud.

"Good, because you're going to have to get used to is whether you like it or not" he laughed.

"Oh, thanks for the encouragement. You’re a great brother" you rolled your eyes and both you and Chen walked back to the house.
