Definitely Wasn't Water...

Playing for His Heart

Sehun woke the next morning with a massive headache. Knives were relentlessly being stabbed at every point possible, and his stomach didn’t feel so hot either. What had happened last night? The sun shining behind his eyes made him unable to go back to sleep, so he groggily and unwillingly opened them. It took a couple moments to clear the dizziness and sleep from his eyes, but when he did, he knew something wasn’t right just by looking at an unfamiliar wall.

Sehun froze and felt his surroundings. He was on a bed, a very soft one. And judging by the way his feet didn’t touch the end like they did on his bed, Sehun concluded that he wasn’t at home. He shot up in bed, and immediately regretted it with the pain that followed. He clutched his head, and let out a silent oww.

Ok….he REALLY wasn’t in his apartment! Sehun was on a king sized, pristine white bed in a room that had a very rich feel. The carpet below was also a cream color that surrounded the bed in a sea of fluff. On the walls were unrecognizable pictures of family and scenery. To his left was a small table against the wall with a modern computer turned off. Sehun checked the window behind him, to see a building across the street that wasn’t in the area he lived in. .

Sehun looked down at the floor to see clothes littering it. Was that…his shirt?! Sehun quickly brought a hand to his torso and felt skin. Just to check, he lifted the covers up to peek underneath, and put it down almost instantly. Why was he and in a random house?!

“Mmhmm,” Sehun’s eyes bulged at the muffled groan and slowly turned his head to the right. There was someone in the bed, right next to him. All he could see was a muscled back because the head was underneath a pillow. The person moved, and Sehun clutched the covers tighter to his body. When it rolled over and lazily threw the pillow to the floor, Sehun couldn’t help but gasp.

“Morning,” Luhan yawned and stretched his arms high above his head, arching his back like a cat’s. Sehun blushed at Luhan’s topless form. Unlike what he had imagined, Luhan was very built. His chest was broad and toned, and Sehun could see the formation of a four pack around his abdomen. Luhan stared back at Sehun when he didn’t receive a response.

“Oh, um, Morning.” Sehun shyly looked away. What the hell was he doing in a bed with Luhan?! Was he too?!

                “Did you sleep well?”

“Yes,” Sehun became even more self-conscious. Here was a gorgeous hunk, speaking to him, and he probably looked as bad as he felt.

“Sorry, but what happened? I can’t remember,” Sehun felt embarrassed to ask, but his mind kept shooting blanks.

Luhan laughed, and Sehun faced him in confusion. He was met with Luhan’s dazzling smile, which made his heart skip a beat.

“You know, you’re very different when sober,” Luhan mused.

“I was drunk?!” Sehun exclaimed. Oh no….That wasn’t water that he drank last night!

                “Very drunk.”

“What did I, do?” Sehun was afraid to know.

“Nothing bad,” Luhan sat up and leaned back on his arms, “You found me, we kissed-”

“We kissed?!” Sehun nearly screamed, and fell off the bed in surprise.

“Ow,” He whined when his elbow hit the floor. Luhan crawled over to the opposite edge of the bed to see the younger man very flustered and very . It was making him a bit excited.

“I would have never guessed you were this shy. You made the first move after all.” Luhan continued, interested in what Sehun would do next. He covered his smile with his hand when Sehun’s jaw dropped and he frantically reached for his pants that were nearby. How cute…

“What’re you doing?” Luhan asked. Sehun clumsily stuck one foot in the right pant leg, and tripped backwards while trying to put his left leg in, causing him crash onto the bed. Luhan couldn’t help but laugh again.

Sehun was embarrassed beyond comprehension. He might as well go die in a hole now. A blush spread across his face and down his neck. He couldn’t even imagine how stupid he must look. Luhan’s head popped over Sehun’s from behind him.

“Are you trying to leave?” Luhan rephrased his question.

“Y-yes,” Sehun couldn’t lie with those doe eyes connecting to his.

“Don’t, Sehun,” Luhan bent down and lightly kissed Sehun on the lips. That’s when Sehun’s derpness lashed out again, and he couldn’t stop freaking out.

                “What now?” Luhan chuckled.

“How do you know my name?”

                “You told me last night.”

                “And why am I here?”

“Why else would you be? We had some fun,” Luhan sang and trailed a hand slowly down Sehun’s chest. Sehun bounced up before that hand could reach nether regions, and slipped on the rest of his pants.

“Was last night only a fling?” Sehun heard Luhan say from behind him. His heart stopped. The tone of Luhan’s voice was so heart breaking. Sehun turned back around and couldn’t resist the blonde deer sitting in the middle of the white bed that was biting his lip, waiting for Sehun’s response.

“I don’t want it to be, but, I may be too young for you.” Sehun admitted. He had to get it off his chest now, before he led Luhan on.

“20 isn’t too young!” Luhan shook his head and slid off the bed. 20?! What else did Sehun screw up last night?! Oh he was going to be in some deep trouble! Sehun was so caught up in his own worry that he almost didn’t notice the man curling a strong arm around his womanly hips.

“But if we are going to date,” Luhan began and Sehun nearly passed out at the mention of dating, “something’s going to have to change.”

                “What?”

“Next time, I’m not topping,” Luhan grasped Sehun’s collarbone to bring Sehun to him in a heated kiss.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________

“Hyung, what does ‘topping’, mean?” Sehun asked Joonmyun, who sat across the table from him in the café. Joonmyun choked and spit out his coffee in a large spray. Minseok saw and laughed and pointed at Joonmyun from behind the barista counter. Suho glared and Minseok kept on laughing.

“Why would you want to know that?” Joonmyun asked like a parent would to his son.

Sehun had called his oldest and wisest hyung down to their friend’s café for advice. He didn’t know who to turn to, but Joonmyun was the most reasonable choice. He was in his final year of college, and had been with his boyfriend, Yixing, for three years.

                “Well,” Sehun fidgeted, “Because…”

And then Sehun revealed the whole story to Joonmyun, leading up to the point where Luhan mentioned topping. Joonmyun nearly covered his face with his hands. Sehun seriously didn’t remember anything from last night.

“You see, Sehun-ah,” Joonmyun nervously laughed, “Topping is a part of-”

“,” Jongdae came out of nowhere and set Sehun’s ordered bubble tea in front of him. Jongdae owned the café they were in, alongside Minseok. Well, Jongdae was still in his last years of finishing college, but Minseok had finished this past summer, so technically Minseok owned the shop.

“Did you have to say it so bluntly?!” Joonmyun hissed.

“Sehun’s a big boy! He should know by now! Let Jongdae Hyung bestow upon you the terms of gay .” Jongdae pulled up a chair and crossed one leg over the other like he owned the place.  Sehun listened intently to the elder, and absorbed everything he was being told. Joonmyun, uncomfortable with the subject, slunk off to hang around Minseok who was manning the counter.

“You mean,” Sehun paused when Jongdae finished his descriptive tale, “Luhan stuck his thing…” Sehun glanced down.

                “Yup,” Jongdae nodded.

“Oh man! I just had and didn’t remember it!” Sehun wailed and banged his head against the table.

“What? Seriously? With who?” Jongdae was surprised. He didn’t lose his ity till college. He didn’t think the innocent and oblivious Sehun would lose his before him.

“Luhan!” Sehun slammed his head on the table again.

“No way!” Jongdae was curious on how Sehun was able to do that. Practically everyone that knew Sehun knew that he had a crush on Luhan, “That ,” He patted Sehun lightly on the back.

“Hyung, what does it feel like?” Sehun’s question was so unexpected that Jongdae didn’t know how to respond.

“Uhh…uhh….you’ll find out when it happens again.” Jongdae coughed, wanting to stray from this part of the subject. He might go too into detail once thinking back to those nights-and days- between Minseok and him.

“But Luhan wants me to top! I don’t want to look like an idiot when I don’t know what to do!”

                “I think he’ll be accepting……”

“But hyung, he thinks I’m a 20 year old with experience!”

“You told him you’re twenty!” Jongdae yelled, attracting the attention of some of the customers. He gave them an apologetic smile and hit Sehun on the head.

“What in your little brain possessed you to say that?!”

“I don’t know! I said it while I was drunk-”

                “You were drunk too?!”

“I’m sorry hyung! Please help me!” Sehun clasped his hands below his chin and unleashed his puppy dog eyes on his friend.

“Hi guys!” Baekhyun and Chanyeol entered the café. The two of them had finished their classes for the day, and were expecting a nice and relaxing cup of coffee before spending five hours on that syllabus.

“Baekhyun hyung!” Sehun ran crying to him. Baekhyun caught Sehun in surprise and immediately glared at Jongdae.

                “What did you do now?!”

“Nothing!” Jongdae held his hands up in defense.

“Hyung, I don’t know what to do!” Sehun sniffed.

“What happened?” Baekhyun sat themselves down at the table. Sehun sat in Chanyeol’s lap because of the lack of chairs, and Chanyeol was the only one big enough to support him.

“Long story short,” Jongdae intervened because he knew that Sehun would go through every detail, “Sehun had with Luhan, and because he was so drunk he didn’t remember a thing.”

“Ah, so that’s where you went last night!” Baekhyun tapped his chin in realization.

“You mean,” Joonmyun was just coming back from the counter, “you didn’t even bother to look for him?”

“Well, we saw him with Luhan, but we waited for a while, and when he didn’t come back, we left.”

“Aish, what kinds of friends are you?” Joonmyun rolled his eyes and took a sip from his coffee.

“In our defense, we left Sehun a text message, saying that we had left.” Chanyeol piped in.

“But I still don’t understand why you’re so worked up over this,” Baekhyun grabbed Sehun’s bubble tea for himself, “So you two did it. It’s over, right?”

“No. He asked me to continue dating him.” Sehun moaned and swiped his bubble tea back to selfishly sip three large gulps.

“Wow, that’s great!” Baekhyun smiled encouragingly.

“Not great. Luhan thinks Sehun is 20,” Jongdae sighed.

“And you didn’t admit you weren’t?” Chanyeol asked Sehun as he and Baekhyun exchanged a glance. This was so messed up.

“No. Luhan was being all intimate, so I freaked out and left.”

                “Just like that?”

“Yeah. I think he still has my underwear….”

Baekhyun laughed, “You’re too  cute Sehunnie. Luhan must have thought you were a deer in headlights!”

Just then, Sehun’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and nearly dropped it when he saw the caller ID.

“Who is it?” Minseok, who had left the counter, leaned over Sehun’s shoulder.

                “L-Luhan.” Sehun stuttered.

“Well, what are you waiting for? Read the message!” Minseok urged. Sehun’s hand shook as his index finger slid open the lock screen and the message popped up.

                “’Hey.’” Sehun read aloud.

“Just ‘Hey’? No hey, heart or smiley face?” Chanyeol peeked at the screen too.

“No. Just hey.” Sehun hesitated in responding.

“Way to go, getting worked up over a one word message,” Jongdae rolled his eyes.

Baekhyun snatched the phone from Sehun’s hands and began typing.

“What’re you doing?!” Sehun reached for it but was held back by Chanyeol.

“Asking him out for you, of course. You’re too scared to even respond!” When Baekhyun was finished, he tossed the phone back to Sehun, “You’re welcome.”

Sehun hurriedly opened up the conversation and blushed. “His” reply back to Luhan was, “Heyy. Wanna meet up later ;)”. This message was relatively harmless, but for a teenager as shy as Sehun, he imagined the worst possibilities that could follow that message. Would Luhan stop texting him all together, call him weird, say he meant it to text someone else, etc.

The phone buzzed seconds later and Baekhyun was too quick for Sehun. His face brightened when reading the reply.  Jongdae, who was next to him, began laughing when he saw it.

“What?!” Sehun snatched the phone back and choked on his own saliva.

Are you drunk again? ;) The first line said, By the way, I think my girl loves your boxers more than I do~!  Attached to the message was a picture of Luhan’s orange Pomeranian with Sehun’s black undergarments in , with her large brown eyes staring into the camera lens.

                “Love triangle!” Jongdae announced.

“Shut up!” Minseok threw a plastic fork at Jongdae.

Another message from Luhan came in, and Sehun hoped it wasn’t more pictures of his dog with his boxers. This time, Sehun really didn’t know how to respond.

“He asked to meet up with you at 1?” Tao, one of Sehun’s high school friends, asked him.

“Yeah. And for some reason, I said yes!” Sehun groaned and passed the basketball back to his friend. The two of them were in gym class, and it was basketball week. They mainly did nothing except pass, but Sehun didn’t mind. Gym was more for the social aspect anyways.

Tao was one of his few friends at high school. Since most of his friends were college hyungs that he met at their last years of high school, it was only natural to become friends of their friends. Sehun had first met Jongdae in his first year, then Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Minseok, Joonmyun, Yixing, Jongin, Kyungsoo, and Tao. Kyungsoo and Jongin attended a different university than Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Joonmyun, Jongdae, and Yixing, so it was hard for Sehun to see the two often. Sehun met Tao last because Tao was also a hyung, go figure. He transferred to his high school this year, for his last year of high school.

“What’re you going to do? That’s in half an hour!”

                “I don’t know! But I can’t stand him up!”

Tao was silent for a moment, racking his brain for an idea to help his friend out. He rolled the orange ball around in his hands, and perked up at when it clicked.

“Sehun, stare into my eyes deeply.” Tao commanded.

“Yes, panda,” Sehun obeyed. It wasn’t hard to get hypnotized. His eyes were so feline like. Sehun was gazing deep into the swirling black, looking for the meaning of life when BAM it hit him……literally.

“Ow! What the heck, man?” Sehun clutched his forehead in pain at the same spot where Tao had chucked the ball. He dropped to his knees because the room was spinning too fast for him to stay upright.

“Teacher! Sehun’s injured!” Tao called with his hand waving in the air for the gym teacher. He rushed down to Sehun’s level and whispered in his ear, “Now, after we leave the room to go to the nurse’s office, I’ll tell the lady that you’re puking all over the place so you had to ‘go home’. She can’t deal with puke. The nurse won’t question me, so make your escape then.”

“You’re so smart,” Sehun confirmed in a strained voice, and still a bit annoyed at the fact that Tao had to throw the ball at his face. Just as according to Tao’s plan, the gym teacher excused the two of them to the nurse’s office. As soon as the two got into the locker rooms, Sehun changed at the speed of light, but Tao removed Sehun’s jacket. He gave the Chinese teenager questioning eyes.

“Once Luhan sees this jacket, he’ll know you’re a high school student.” Tao reminded him, “I’ll keep it here for you. Get it before class tomorrow.”

“Thank you,” Sehun breathed a sigh of relief. Tao was truly a great friend. He grabbed his backpack and sprinted out from the locker rooms and through the hallways with Tao. Once they neared the school entrance doors, they both decided to part from there.

                “Have fun,” Tao said.

“I will. Thanks again.” And with that Tao watched his friend run off into sun of the midday. His poor friend…  Just as Tao began his journey to the nurse’s office, he spotted his young English teacher, Wu Fan. Tao smirked devilishly.

“Dat ,” Tao whispered and watched Wu Fan’s nice behind move beneath his slacks. He had a giant crush on the teacher, but was not quiet about it one bit. Wu Fan was certainly aware of Tao. Tao stalked the teacher from behind until reaching less than an arm’s length away.

“Hey y,” Tao whispered seductively and grabbed at Wu Fan’s , making his superior jump ten feet in the air. Tao laughed, love seeing the usually reserved and icy prince flustered. Wu Fan glared at the kid when he passed in front, but Tao merely winked and swayed his hips teasingly back and forth. It was useless denying it, Wu Fan would be Tao’s.
