IN THE PAST

Hana stood there starring at her brother as she finally understood the importance of what he just explained to her...that there clan will finally have a full breed vampire that will be graced with the power of their blood lineage.  Shin Hye was very important to the Lee clan because she will eventually give birth to the next vampire Elder in line to the clan.  The last full breed vampire to be born in their clan was Guardian Hongki, but the last full breed vampire to be born from the direct noble blood line was Jong Hyun and his twin sister Hana.  With the birth of the noble twins the power of the Lee blood lineage increased tremendously that the other vampire clans all around the world could feel the balance of power shift in the energy field towards the Lee clan.  Jong Hyun and Hana looked at each other with such determination knowing what needs to be done in order to protect the future of their clan.  They looked at little Shin Hye playing in the dirt as she smiled up at them with such pure innocence that the twins had an overpowering feeling of wanting to shelter the child from harms way.  Hana looked backed at her brother, "You know what needs to be done brother, we need to combine my past existence with her future existence and since we share the same soul, it will be like uniting two halves to a whole.  It will connect us permanently, our spiritual energy will also be combined and that will make her very powerful so she can protect herself and eventually the baby that will become the future leader of our clan" she said calmly.  "Hana, will she be safe through the unification process", Jong Hyun asked with concern in her eyes.  Shin Hye stood up and patted the dirt off her clothes and walked towards them, and right before their eyes she transformed into the adult Shin Hye, "Father don't worry I will be fine, we must do this for the future of our clan", she said bravely.  Jong Hyun was surprised and very touched that she already claims the Lee clan as her clan, she really is the priceless jewel of the clan he thought as he gave her a smile.  "I do have a few question that I've always been meaning to ask but never got around to it.  I am my Yong Hwa Oppa's eternal life mate, but what does an eternal life mate actually do", she asked curiously.  Jong Hyun looked at Shin Hye,"Little one every vampire in this world looks for their other half, which is our eternal life mate.  When you find your eternal life mate your vampirism evolves and you actually feed from each others ual energy to survive.  Every eternal life mate will be able to give birth once to a full breed vampire and since my son has my pure noble blood flowing through him, it will be passed down to your baby which will make my grandchild a full breed noble vampire, and just like me the child will be the next Elder to our clan.  Do you now understand how important it is for you to know how to use your powers, especially now that we are at war and that bastard Seunghyn will try anything to get his hands on you.  You will need to know how to fight Shin Hye just in case there is a time when no one is around to protect you, I want to know that you will be able to fight back and defend yourself.  You also need to consider that in the near future you will carry a baby inside you and you must protect your baby from all harm and once the unification process is completed, you will become powerful enough to do exactly that", he explained with conviction in his eyes.  Shin Hye nodded at what Jong Hyun had just explained to her, she turned around to find Hana starring at her.  Hana walked up to her and grabbed her hands, "It's going to be fine little one, you always had a part of me with you and with the unification process our soul will allow us an open door so we may connect our lives.  This basically means you will remember being me in your past life and I shall always be with you like a true guardian angel watching over you and when you need me I will be there for you", Hana said as she hugged Shin Hye.  Since Jong Hyun was the Elder of the Lee clan he had the power to perform the unification process, Hana led them towards a meadow full of beautiful flowers and large trees that had surrounded the out skirt of the field.  The twins knew that they needed all the energy they could get so Hana led them to where her brother could absorb some natural energy.  Shin Hye and Hana stood next to each other as Jong Hyun walked about the field with his hands stretched out in front of him as if it led him to the energy source.  Shin Hye watched in amazement as she witnessed what looked like tiny glowing pollen floating away from the nature around them and into Jong Hyun, he started glowing from all the energy he had absorbed.  He walked over to were they were standing and began the unification process, he stood still with his eyes closed in deep concentration focusing all his energy during this process.  Hana stood in front of Shin Hye and grabbed her hands and pressed them together, the palm of their hands connecting, "Shin Hye let me explain to you quickly what will occur...my brother's soul will telepathically petition our soul for our request to unite, and if our soul accepts the petition then all we need to do is accept our connection with all our heart.  My brother will then finish the unification process by exchanging blood between us, by doing that we will always be bonded to our unification by our blood", she explained so Shin Hye would understand what was going to happen.  Shin Hye nodded answering she understood as Jong Hyun turned towards them, "Get ready your soul has accepted the petition", he said as he grabbed his dagger.  As Hana and Shin Hye accepted their connection whole heartedly, Jong Hyun sliced a cut in each of their palm and they pressed it firmly exchanging blood.  As as the blood was exchanged Hana started to fade, she quickly turned to her brother and embraced him, "Watch over her as if you were watching over me my dear brother, I love you forever", she quickly said before she could complete the unification process.  Hana continued to fade as she stood in front of Shin Hye, "Do not look so sad for me, we are now connected Shin Hye...we are now one", she said happily.  Hana turned around one more time to look at her brother and blew him a kiss before walking through Shin Hye which caused a strong gush of wind that whirled around her followed by a bright light that went inside her making her pass out.  When Shin Hye finally came to she saw Jong Hyun holding her in his arms with tears in his eyes, she looked at him and gave him a small smile.  She couldn't help but look at him in a different light now because most of her memories of Hana's life had him in it and she knew she loved him dearly as a both a father and a brother.  She gave him a hug and a smile, "We are connected father I can feel her inside me, we are one.  She is my inner voice, my true strength, my conscience, and my wisdom...I will embrace my role as the mother of our clan", she said with dedication in her voice.  Jong Hyun can immediately sense the difference in her, her strength and loyalty to the clan was definitely Hana's influence.  He looked at Shin Hye and gave her a smile, "You will be a great mother to our clan little one, you are our clans priceless jewel that we will protect with our very lives.  You will give us our next full breed noble vampire and future Elder of the clan, you are our clans future and I am proud to call you my daughter", he said with tears in his eyes.  They stood up and walked side by side to the portal to the future, they were both excited to get back so they can let everyone know the good news.  As they entered the portal their bodies were into the future and they quickly returned to their own bodies.  When Jong Hyun woke up he had felt the weight of dead bodies on top of him as well as a over turned couch, his house was under attack with blood every where.  He angrily threw the couch off of him and searched for Shin Hye but could not find her, he quickly flitted out of the study and went directly into battle fighting alongside his sons.  At that same moment Shin Hye woke up in someone's arms, she blinked her eyes and noticed she was in a moving car.   She quickly tried to sit up but was held tightly against that person's chest, she quickly turned her head to find out who was holding her so tightly.  Shin Hye's eyes widen in fear and she began to shake all over, she thought she would never have to look into those empty eyes again.  Gdragon looked down at her wide eyes, he didn't know what he enjoyed more watching his sleeping beauty sleep peacefully in his arms or feeling the intense fear radiating from her body.  He tightened his hold on her and smelled her...God how he missed her.
