Chapter11

Two weeks have passed and the three roommates have been in their old routine, but for Hyoyeon, an extra thought took up space in her head besides thinking of her crush. The way Sooyoung break through her heart and all the little things she would do to have Hyoyeon's attention had Hyoyeon thinking about it whenever she saw Sooyoung. However that didn’t stop Hyoyeon from doing her practice well and achieving her main goal.

At SMC

As an assignment to the class, the trainees have to write and compose their own song, Taeyeon had just finished her song and the whole class was amazed by her powerful vocals and the meaningful lyrics. Mr. M stands and claps his hands, making a thumbs up sign before complimenting Taeyeon.

“That was awesome Taeyeon, I wonder is that what you really feel, I can hear that you poured your heart into the song. Are you in love? “

Taeyeon hesitated as Tiffany was right in the class, so she chose to just shake her head in response.

Mr M smiled, “Wow. Our Taeyeon is really talented.”

“Thank you Mr M.” Taeyeon replied politely.

“Alright, this is the end of the class. I’ll announce the person who gets to perform their song at the upcoming show soon.” Mr M ended the class and left the classroom.

Taeyeon, Jessica and Tiffany then continued their busy day, proceeding to their next class.

On other hand, Hyoyeon was practicing with full energy with Yoona and Yuri as usual during their break time when she received a message from Sooyoung asking if Hyoyeon wanted to join the latter for lunch.

Hyoyeon smiled with a blush on her face and replied the text.

‘I would love to.’

Seeing Hyoyeon’s reply, Sooyoung smiled.

‘I’m outside already. ^^’

Hyoyeon popped her head out of the practice room window and she saw Sooyoung’s car, she’s really here. Hyoyeon couldn’t help but smile widely before she remembered that she have to inform her friends first

‘I have to tell my friends first, please wait for a while. From: Hyoyeon’

‘Arraseo. From: Sooyoung’

Hyoyeon told Yoona and Yuri before heading to find Tiffany and Taeyeon.

“Taeyeon Unnie, what are your plans for lunch?” Yoona asked.

“I’m staying in for lunch, I’m not hungry.” Taeyeon replied.

Yoona nodded silently and left with Yuri to lunch.

Seeing that Hyoyeon didn’t follow the two other girls, Taeyeon asked if Hyoyeon was following them to lunch. To which Hyoyeon stated while blushing that she was having lunch with Sooyoung.

Upon hearing that, a fake smile appeared on Taeyeon’s face.

“A date?”

If it was possible, Hyoyeon blushed even more and answered with a ‘Kinda’ and asked where Tiffany was, trying to change the topic.

“She went with Jessica.” Taeyeon smiled. 

Hearing that Taeyeon was alone, Hyoyeon felt bad and gave Taeyeon a look, pity showing in her eyes.

“Yah. Don’t look at me like that, it’s not bad to be single.”

Hyoyeon laughed and hug Taeyeon before leaving, though the latter didn’t want the hug the end when Hyoyoen started pulling away.

“Arraseo, I’ll see you later, Tae.”

Hyoyeon left and made her way towards Sooyoung car.

Sooyoung smiled and asked Hyoyeon why she took so long and Hyoyoen replied saying she was informing her friends where she was going.

“Are they so important to you?” Sooyoung asked as she opened the door for the shorter girl.

Hyoyeon nodded, “Yes, they are.”

“Somehow, hearing your words, I feel jealous. They are really lucky to have a friend like you.” Sooyoung winked at Hyoyeon before starting to drive.

Hyoyeon couldn’t help but blush at Sooyoung’s words and actions. Sooyoung’s always so straightforward which makes Hyoyeon confused and speechless at times, even though it was why Hyoyeon likes Sooyoung.

Sooyoung then grabbed two meals from the nearby fast food restaurant before driving them towards the nearby park for lunch.

“How was your practice?” Sooyoung asked as they started unwrapping their burgers.

“It was good.” Hyoyeon replied.

“That’s great, are you performing live again?”

“Of course, but our coach hasn’t said anything about it yet. We are just working hard practicing now.”

“I can see the passion in your eyes; you’re really hard working. Count this as one of the reasons why I like you.” Sooyoung said, grinning.

Hyoyeon chocked in her food from the sudden confession. She couldn’t reply at the moment, all she did was to avoid eye contact, even though her heart felt like it was going to explode at any moment from beating so fast. Sooyoung only smiled at the shorter girl’s actions.

“Oh! I have to get back to practice!” Hyoyeon exclaimed, remembering about practice and wanting to escape the awkward atmosphere.

Sooyoung nodded as she knew how uncomfortable Hyoyeon was feeling right then. The taller girl kept quiet and led them to the car. It wasn’t long before they arrived at the SMC and the both of them got of the car.

“Thanks for the lunch.” Hyoyeon replied, still looking at the ground.

“You’re welcome. You still owe me a full day though, a real date.” Sooyoung proclaimed.

Hyoyeon could only carry on blushing as Sooyoung told Hyoyeon to give her a call for the real date. The duo then parted and Hyoyeon headed into the building.

On the other hand, at the main corridor which held the news of SMC, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Jessica were checking the winner for the assignment. Taeyeon was shocked as she found her name as the winner, but for JeTi they knew it will be Taeyeon because her song was so prefect just as a professional singer Jessica and Tiffany remained calm as they had already known Taeyeon would win for her professional-like singing.

“I told you, you would win this thing!” Tiffany exclaimed before the three of them got into a group hug and started jumping about.

Hyoyeon was on her way when she saw the three of them jumping about happily and decided to ask what was going on.

“Yah, what happened? Someone going to marry Tiffany?” Hyoyeon joked.

Jessica and Tiffany blushed and Tiffany smacked Hyoyeon’s arm.

“Taeyeon won the nomination to perform her song live!” Jessica said excitedly.

“Really? That’s great! Congrats!”

Hyoyeon then enveloped Taeyeon in a hug and the two girls embraced tightly before Hyoyeon pulled away.

“Yah. Why didn’t you let me hear the song at least once?” Hyoyeon demanded jokingly.

“That’s… Because..” Taeyeon stuttered, unable to come up with a excuse.

Luckily, Tiffany saved Taeyeon and intervened, reminding Hyoyeon about her dance practice. Hyoyeon jumped up and started running to the practice room crazily while the three left behind started laughing because of her crazy antics.

“Shall we have a celebration at our house?” Taeyeon suggested, to which Jessica and Tiffany both agreed eagerly.

On the way to the cafeteria to wait for Hyoyeon, Jessica whispered to Tiffany.

“Finally, I get to see you room.”

Tiffany gave her a playful punch and they laughed to themselves.
