Pretty
I Thought He Was the Same As the OthersWe both finished our huge bowls of ramen. “That was delicious…!” Kazehaya said happily. “Thank you so much…I had a good time.” Kazehaya was thinking of something for a moment. Ignoring my thanks, he spoke, “I’m not satisfied.”
EH? “H-Huh? Is something missing?” I asked.
“Let’s go eat ICE-CREAM!!!” He said. He looked like a kid there for a moment, but he looked cute at the same time. “Let’s go! Don’t worry, I’ll pay for it.” He smiled. He paid for the food and then we went to the park. A man was selling ice cream in a cute baby blue stall.
“What flavor do you like?” Kazehaya asked. “I’d like to have some Butter Pecan…” “Ok then.” He turned to the man. “Two Butter Pecans please.” I looked at him. “You…like Butter Pecan flavored ice cream too?” He grinned. “It’s my all time favorite.”
When we got the ice cream, we both sat on a bench. The weather was a little hot, so the ice cream was a perfect timing. “It’s tasty…” I smiled. “Yeah, I agree.” The both of us was silent for a while.
…
I remembered the girl I saw in school. She was so cute. I like her hair. It looked so soft and silky. I… kinda envy her good looks.
…
“Kuronuma?”
“…!” “S-Sorry…did I startle you? You looked deep in thought.” Kazehaya said, looking a bit worried. “I’m fine.” “Really…?” Kazehaya looked suspicious.
“I just…remembered a girl I saw in school… She was…pretty. Her hair was very long and it was light brown. She had fair skin.”
“Hmmm…sounds like Kurumi.” Kazehaya said. Then he turned to me.
“Hey, don’t feel so envious.” I ate some more of the ice cream.
“Because to me, you look pretty enough.”
