It's Festival Time!
I Thought He Was the Same As the OthersThe day of the festival came. Everyone was looking so forward to this. We all need to do our best.
I offered help to Hirano-san with the setting up of the stand. “No Sawako-chan, it’s ok, I can handle this…! Why don’t you take a walk around for a while? You still have time. It’s fine, go ahead! I’ll just call you if your costume is ready.” I blushed. “A-Arigato…!” I thanked her and went outside to see how the other classes are doing.
“It’s festival time!” Someone shouted happily. I didn’t have to think who that was.
“Quiet! We still need to set up our decorations!!!” Ayane-chan scolded Chizu-chan. “Waaah…but I want to look around now…” Chizu-chan begged. “Shut up.”
“Ayane-chan! Chizu-chan!” I waved and approached them. “Oh, Sawako! Ohayo.” Ayane-chan said, picking up some red Japanese lanters. “Ah! Hi Sawako!!! Wanna walk around with me? Let’s go!” Chizu giggled, grabbing my arm. “You’re staying here.” Ayane grabbed Chizu’s uniform firmly. Chizu-chan sobbed. “Oh…nevermind…”
“Gomen Sawako but we couldn’t hang out with you right now, we need to finish putting up our stall. We’ll walk around with you later, ok?” Ayane said, holding the bowls for the miso soup that is going to be served later on in the festival. I nodded and bid them good luck.
I walked around the school some more.
…
Oh…! What a cute stall…
It says Souvenir Shop. I looked at the items on display.
“What are you doing here?”
