Silence. No one knew what to say, they just stared at each other. Thousand thoughts ran through Xiumin’s mind: “Why?” “Wasn’t I good enough?” ...

Kai eventually broke the seemingly infinite silence: “I can explain...”                                      

Xiumin had heard this phrase in so many movies; he knew Kai was talking total nonsense, Xiumin saw what he saw, Kai cheated on him, this was a matter of fact. Every excuse would be useless.

“You don’t have to. I know what happened. You’ve found someone else. It’s okay. I wanted to break up anyway”, came out of Xiumin’s mouth.

 “What? No, please, I’m sorry. Please! I’m so sorry!”

 “You’re not! I won’t come back to you. I’m done!” Xiumin took his back pack and stormed out of the room.

Kai didn’t follow him. He just stood there, not saying anything, a lost look in his eyes.

“Why don’t you go to Minseok and try to get him back?” Sehun asked.

-“It’s pointless... I mean, he’s right. Explaining wouldn’t make any sense... Poor Minseok... He shouldn’t have found it out like that. I wanted to talk to him sooner or later, but I still hadn’t got around to doing it. And now, it’s too late...”

– “At least, the secret’s finally out. I feel so much better now...”

– “Yeah, but still, we hurt someone’s feelings and that’s not okay...”

 – “You mean YOU hurt someone’s feelings, YOU were the one who cheated on your boyfriend, not me...”

– “So, what’s with Luhan then?”

 – “Luhan... He’s not really my boyfriend, we just have something going on... you know, like an on-off relationship, nothing serious.”

But Sehun somehow felt bad, even though Luhan didn’t mean that much to him, he knew that Luhan’s feelings for him were real.

After Xiumin had stormed out of the practice room, he bumped into Luhan. Luhan saw the look in his band mate’s face, he knew something was going on.

“What’s wrong?, he asked.

-“Nothing, everything’s fine.”

-“I don’t believe you. Come on, tell me.”

-“Ok, I will, but not here...”

-“Let’s go to the dorm then....”

When they arrived at the dorm, no one was there, so they were among themselves.

“So, tell me what’s going on.” Luhan demanded.

-“Well, Jongin...”

-“Jongin?”

-“Well he... well...”

-“?”

-“He cheated on me.”

-“What???”

-“Yeah, he did... After practice I noticed that I’d forgotten my back pack so I went back and saw him kissing...”

-“Wait, so you caught him? I can’t believe it. But who did he kiss?”

-“I think I shouldn’t tell...”

-“Oh come on Minseok, you know you can tell me anything!”

-“But not this...”

-“Why?”

-“I just don’t think I should.”

-“Please!”

-“Well, I warned you. I saw him kissing... Sehun.”

Luhan’s mouth dropped open. Did he just hear the name of the one he loved?

There was a dead silence. Then, Luhan couldn’t hold back his tears anymore.

“I can’t believe it... I thought he loved me!” he said, crying.

-“I thought that of Jongin too... they’re such s!”

-“I... I... don’t even... know what to think...”

“Maybe we should confront them later?” Xiumin suggested.

But Luhan refused. “No, I don’t want too... It’s just too embarrassing... I will probably never be able to look in Sehun’s eyes anymore!”

Luhan’s teardrops didn’t stop falling, so Xiumin hugged him to make him feel less bad.

Somehow, Xiumin wasn’t even able to cry, and he just couldn’t figure out why. In such a situation, wouldn’t it be normal to cry? So why didn’t he...?
