Kyungsoo wasn't quite himself for the next few days. The members had known from his look when Ume left the room that things didn't go well. They attributed his behaviour to the food poisoning when other people asked.

Back in the dorm, he just sleeps. Outside, he engrossed himself with work, throwing in such ferocious energy that only left him drained by the end of the day.

Ume was welcomed back with open arms. She didn't want to spend her entire time at the job like she used to, so she was contented being the advisor of the company, only coming in during the day and leaving by 3pm in the afternoon. 

The salary was substantially less, but she was happy to have some personal time, catching up with friends and errands she had neglected.

She went back to the church she used to visit when she was young, feeling the nostalgia sinking in from the hymns and verses, familiar faces from her younger days. 

In almost one year, she settled into a comfortable routine.

Kyungsoo and the other members shed thankful tears as they received the Song and Album of the year.

Their track records were getting more impressive, and he was glad that his bank account was at last showing some signs of stability. Substantially more than his peers in fact.

As they bowed and left the stage, Kyungsoo scrolled down the list of numbers to call his parents, but his eyes paused on a name which he had only dared to call in his dream for the past 11 months. 

Will she remember?

Ume paused in front of a newly opened novelty shop on the way to church.

Something in the display window caught her eyes. 

It was the big blue bear she had back in Korea, gifted by the boys, but she had donated it to charity when she left. The bear made her think of the last time someone who held onto the bear.

Kyungsoo.

"Hello." She whispered and touched the glass where the bear's eyes were, smiling. 

During the service, a guest speaker was on the pulpit.

"I remembered when I was small, I was really good with Math. My mother and father taught me numbers, simple addition and subtraction. It was really easy for me. My parents thought I was very smart." The congregation laughed.

"But when I got older, we started learning multiplication. That's a whole different story. I find it so hard... 4+6 was easy, but 4 x 6? 47 X 67? I was feeling so dejected cos it was so hard. Then, I found a very interesting thing. Everytime a number multiply by zero, the answer is always zero. So 4 x 0, is zero, 67 x 0, is zero, 467000 x 0, is still zero, Math became easy again! Everytime my mother asked me, I will purposely say a big number, then multiply by zero. My mother thought I was a genius...

Multiplication is a big headache. Except with the number 1. 40 x 1=40,  60 x 1=60. 1 x 1=1. So make Him your number one, and everything will be easy."

The hall erupted in applause.

Ume mused over the equation.

1x1=1. 

Everything will be easy.

Back at the apartment, she retrieved the carefully kept black box again. It was the same as she last saw it. Intricate, with a subtle shine. The EXO bracelet.  She the carvings on the insides, she probably should return it. Will they remember? 

Will he remember?

As she was thinking, a little white note suddenly caught her eye. It was sticking out from under the cushion of the bracelet. Why hasn't she noticed it before?

Removing the cushion, she opened the tiny note.

"Hello, Ume-ah. 

I love you. Really.

-Kyungsoo" 

That little revelation nudged a sensitive part in her chest. And it shook.

She found herself flicking her laptop open and searching for Exo-K.

A video with the title "D.O's love confession" came up. 

She clicked on it.
