Minjeong's

"Banban! You're finally back. Ang tagal mo sobra." She was sulking on my study table when I entered my room. Her laptop was open and she was watching cartoons?

"Malayo kasi convenience store eh. At least we have food now, hehe." I gave her a sandwich na she specifically requested and Coke. Ayaw n'ya talaga mag-softdrinks pero sabi ko ngayon lang naman.

"Thank you, Ban." She gave me that same smile sa picture na ni-send n'ya and I had to look away (unfortunately) dahil feel ko nagba-blush na naman ako.

Naalala ko tuloy 'yung kanina. What the hell, Minjeong? Pero, bakit ba ako nagpipigil? Wala namang masama sa compliment, cute naman talaga s'ya, so bakit ba kinakausap ko na naman sarili ko?

"Ban? Watch tayo movie~" May sumapi ba dito at nagpapa-cute? Oo na po, father. I do po kaagad.

"Anong movie? Anong genre?" She scrunched her nose while munching on her sandwich.

Kumain na rin ako habang nag-iisip pa s'ya ng panonoorin. Nag-CR na rin ako kasi ang tagal n'ya sumagot.

Pagbalik ko, she has this smirk on her face na hindi ko mabasa ang ibig sabihin.

"Hmm? May napili ka na ba?"

"Horror." Sabi na nga ba.

"Sure ka ba? Mamaya hindi ka makatulog." Mga 5 PM na rin kasi tsaka malapit na dumilim. Ako, okay lang ako sanay naman ako sa horror films pero itong babaeng 'to?

Takot sa dilim tapos gusto horror? Let's see.

She nodded her head three times. I guess horror it is.

"Gore? Psychological? Slasher? Animated?" Alam ko marami pa 'yan pero giving her more choices will take her a year to decide.

"Anong difference nilang lahat?"

I love watching movies the most so I don't mind taking my time to explain each of them.

"Okay." She straightened her back and put her food on the table. Feels like she's about to get serious.

"Kapag psychological, naka-focus s'ya sa mental and emotional fear ng protagonist. Madalas nakakalito mag psychological horror kasi hindi ka na sure sa nangyayari dahil p'wedeng i-reveal nila bigla na hindi pala totoo ang mga na-experience ni protagonist."

"Kapag naman gore, maraming namamatay dito. Most of the time walang nabubuhay tapos close-up shots kapag may namamatay na like kitang-kita mo 'yung dugo, tapos 'yung pag-chop—"

"Not that one." I can imagine how bloody things will be and I don't like that.

She snickered and continued with her explanation.

"Kapag slasher, madalas merong killer. Madalas may isang grupo na pupunta sa isang remote na lugar tapos may papatay sa kanila." I pondered for a moment. I think she was waiting for some reaction from me bago ituloy ang lecture n'ya.

"What's the last one?"

"Animated horror films. Wala naman masyadong difference sa normal horror films, just animated."

Psychological na ata ang safest choice? I'm not a film enthusiast but the way Minjeong explained everything like she knows every
