“Sonya!” I waited on the white brick walls as Jeanine appeared. “So what did Key say?” She asked breathlessly.

“First I have something to say to you. Did you even think about anyone else when you were trying to match Onew and me up?” I demanded. “I even told you to stop! Do you think playing with people is acceptable?”

“I’m so sorry! I’ve realized now that what I did was wrong. I promise I’ll never do something like that again,” she pleaded.

I sighed. “Okay.” I couldn’t believe I was letting her up so easily, but what could I do?

Jeanine brightened up. “So what did he say?”

“He said maybe.” I shrugged.

“But not a no, right?” she pressed me.

“Well, no,” I conceded.

“Awesome! I’ll go ask him then!” She gave me a hug. “You’re the greatest!”

As she skipped away, all I could do was shake my head at her. A week full of sleepless nights for me and all she could was skip away? All she could care about was her heart, and not my anxious one.
