It was graduation day at Kirin University.

The students were on their seats, eagerly waiting for their names to be called. Once their name was called, they have to go up on the stage to receive their diplomas.

There were applauses everytime a student goes up.

 

Siwon was on his seat with his mind drifting away.

 

 

[FLASHBACK]

 

"What's your plan now, hyung?" Minho asked as he puts another pork belly on the grill. They were eating samgyeopsal and kimchi at a restaurant.

Siwon took a deep sigh. "I don't know.."

He poured soju on his glass and drank it.

"I don't think you should run away with her, hyung." Minho kept his eyes on the griller.

 

Siwon didn't say anything. He was staring blankly at the table. 

Minho dipped the cooked pork belly on the sauce and ate it. When he was done chewing, he talked again.

 

"I talked to her last time." Minho puts down his chopsticks. "She doesn't even look hurt when I told her about your arranged marriage with Stella."

"I know...I know." Siwon nodded slowly. He took another shot of soju.

Minho looked at him.

"Yes, she's with me physically..." Siwon chuckled. "But emotionally, she's not." 

"Having her body won't make her yours." Minho said.

There was a long pause.

Siwon burried his face on his palm. "You're right."

Minho sighed then grabbed his chopsticks again.

"You'll just hurt yourself more if you continue this, hyung." Minho told him. "You know she just taken you for granted."

Siwon was silent.

Minho ate another chop of pork belly again.

"I just love her so much." Siwon said while looking at his glass.

"But she's not happy with you." Minho said while chewing. "...that girl can make her happy. You know that."

Siwon looked at him.

 

"If you really love her, let her be happy. Set her free."

 

 

[END of FLASHBACK]

 

 

Siwon was thinking about it again now.

"Minho's right." he thought to his self. "Having her body won't make her mine."

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard his name.

 

"Choi, Si Won."

 

He stood up and went to the stage to receive his diploma.

When he got down the stage, he looked at his brother who was sitting next to their butler at the last row.

His parents were busy that's why only Minho and their butler Changmin attended the graduation.

 

"You really think more mature than me." Siwon thought as he looked at his brother.

 

When he went back to his seat, his decision was final.

Meanwhile, Taeyeon and Mr. Kim were waiting for Heechul to be called on stage.

 

" . . Kang Minhyuk . . . . . Kim, Hee Chul."

 

His name was finally called.

Heechul went up to the stage and received his diploma.

 

"That's my oppa!" Taeng said proudly as she claps for her brother.

 

 

After the ceremony, Heechul went to his father and sister.

"Congratulations, son." Mr. Kim tapped his shoulder.

"Thank you, appa."

"Oppa! You really looked cool upstage a while ago!" Taeng said dorkily.

"I know." Heechul smugged. He noticed Siwon coming.

 

"Heechul-ssi." he called out.

Taeyeon turned around and saw him.

"I just want to congratulate you." Siwon told him.

"Thanks. Congratulations to you too." Heechul smiled. "By the way, I'd like you to meet my father."

Heechul refered to the man beside him.

"I'm pleased to meet you, Mr. Kim." Siwon said.

They both bowed at each other.

"This is my younger brother, Minho." Siwon introduced.

"Nice to meet you." Minho greeted them.

They exchanged bows.

Minho noticed the girl beside Heechul.

"You must be Taeyeon." he said to her.

"Uh, yes." Taeyeon blinked. "..How did you know?"

Minho just smiled.

 

"We have to go now." Siwon told them. He turned to Heechul and smiled. "I hope to see you again."

Heechul nodded at him and they shook hands.

 

Siwon turned to Taeyeon.

He lend his hand to her and smiled.

Taeyeon paused for a moment. She thought of ignoring him, but in the end, she took his hand and reluctantly shook hands with him.

 

 

When Siwon and his brother was gone, Heechul turned to his sister.

"By the way, are your things packed already?"

"Nope..Not yet." Taeng shook her head. "Why?"

"Didn't you see it on the ticket? We'll be leaving in 2 days!"

"Omooo really?!" Taeyeon's eyes widened. She turned to her father. "What about you, appa?"

"Mine is ready." Mr. Kim shrugged.

"Have you told Mr. and Mrs. Song about it, appa?"

"I'm going to tell them later when I get back."

"Anyway, we still have one day to say goodbye to our friends." Heechul said.

 

"Goodbye." the word repeated on Taeyeon's head.

Tiffany was lying on her bed, staring at the ceiling of her room. She feels confused and exhausted for no reason.

Fany was thinking about the things that had happened to her lately.

Siwon hasn't called nor see her since that day they went to their house.

She wondered about what Minho told her that day.

 

"I should stop....stop what? Urghh!" Fany burried her face on her pillow.

She doesn't know what to do. And she doesn't know what she's doing.

 

"Look what you've done, Tiffany.." she said to herself.

She was still lying on her bed when her cellphone suddenly rang.

Fany reluctantly grabbed her phone and took a look at it.

 

It was a voice message from Siwon.

 

Tiffany paused for a moment then opened it.

 

(Siwon's voicemail)

"I'm sorry for what happened last time. And...sorry if I can't say this to you personally....I don't have the courage to face you again after what happened.

*sigh*

I'll go straight to the point, Tiffany. I-I know I was a fool for assuming that you really have feelings for me. We both know you just took me for granted. I know you're just doing this to take revenge on Kim Taeyeon..*chuckles* and I took advantage of it. 

*long pause, then sighs again*

Let's stop this. We're just hurting ourselves more... I'm setting you free, Tiffany."

(Voice mail end.)

 

Tiffany was dumbfounded. She can't believe what she just heard.

Siwon's words hasn't sinked in to her mind yet.

 

"I'm setting you free, Tiffany." those last words repeated on her head.

She was feeling mixed emotions.

"Is this really happening..?" Fany asked herself.

She suddenly felt dizzy. Things were happening so fast.

 

Tiffany layed down on her bed and stared at the ceiling again.

Taeyeon was packing her things into her luggage.

When she was done packing, she sat on her bed and looked around the room.

 

Taeyeon just sat there quietly, wondering about the things that had happened to her.

Memories began to flashback on her head.

 

 

 

"Okay, I'll accept it."

"I know you will." Fany smirked.

"I'll accept it because of money."

"Yeah. Whatever."

"You have to pay me every month. There will be additional payments for holding hands and hugs."

"What about kisses?" Fany looked at her.

"Kisses are 25,000 won."

"I have 25,000 won here. Can I kiss you?"

 

       .  .  .  .  .

 

"There's one important thing that you should always remember."

"What is it?"

 

"Don't fall for me." Fany winks.

 

Taeyeon bursts out laughing. "It will never happen."

"Look. I bought you some ddeokbokki~" Taeng showed her a plastic bag of spicy rice cake.

"I'm not hungry." Fany replied in a cold tone.

"Are you sure?"

"Why don't you just eat it with Yuri?" Fany raised her voice.

 

       .  .  .  .  .

 

"I just met her at a park somewhere. I was crying that time when she saw me. So she gave me this stuffed toy to cheer me up . . . After that, I've never seen her again."

 

       .  .  .  .  .

 

"Why are you drinking alone?" Taeng asked as she seats with her.

"Nothing. I just feel like it." Fany drinks up her last bottle.

"Mmmmkaayyy..I'll go inside." Tae begins to stand but Fany stopped her.

"No, no. Stay here." she grabs Taeng's sleeves.

"Yahh, you're drunk."

"I don't care." Fany hugs Tae's arm. "Just stay here."

Taeng tries to remove her arm but Tiffany is hugging it tighter.

"Aishhh, you smell alcohol."

Fany laughs. She rest her head on Taeng's shoulder.

"Kim Taeyeon."

"Mm?"

"Kim Taeyeoonn!"

"What is it?"

"Whatever happens, don't leave me, ok?"

"Taeyeon-ah."

"Mm?"

"Do you like me?"

 

Taeng stopped walking.

 

"Why are you asking me that?"

"Because I like you."

 

 

[[ END of FLASHBACK ]]

 

 

Taeyeon smiled as she remembers those memories.

She grabbed the key necklace on her side table and stared at it for a long time.

"..At least we have some good times together." Taeng thought as she looked at the necklace.

 

 

"I know I can't bring back the past again but I will remember those memories forever."
