A shadow of a man appeared.

 

"Goodbye, Kim Taeyeon."

"No!!"

 

Things were getting blurred. Tiffany starts to leave with the man.

Taeyeon finally woke up from her dream.

She sat up on her bed. Her sweat was going down her forehead and she was breathing hard.

 

"Unnie, are you alright??" Suzy got up from her bed.

Taeng just nodded.

"I think you had a nightmare." Suzy looked at her worriedly. "Do you want some water?"

"No, I'm fine." Taeyeon wiped off the sweat on her face. "I'll just go and get some for myself."

"Are you sure?"

Taeyeon nodded at her. "You can go back to sleep now."

"Okay." Suzy went back to her bed.

 

 

Taeyeon went to the bathroom and washed her face at the sink.

"What's the meaning of that nightmare??" Taeng turned off the faucet.

She was wondering why she had a dream of Tiffany leaving her.

 

"Is it a sign?"

 

Taeyeon stared at her reflection on the mirror. She thought of her dream over and over again.

And she realized that she can't let her go.

 

Taeyeon stood there for a long time.

Yuri was looking around the corridor when she saw Sooyoung.

 

"Urghh.. That Soonkyu took my 3000 won!!" Sooyoung was rummaging through her wallet.

"You're Choi Sooyoung, right?" Yuri walked in front of her.

"Yes. What do y——" Sooyoung looked up. "Oh. Yuri-ah.."

"I'm just wondering if you saw Taeyeon."

"Taengoo?" Sooyoung shook her head. "Haven't seen her yet."

"Do you know what her next class is?"

"Uhh.. Well... From what I remember..." Sooyoung saw Taeyeon behind Yuri. "Oh wait, there she is!"

 

Yuri quickly turned around. She saw Taeyeon coming.

"Taeyeon, can we talk——?"

"Have you seen Tiffany?"

 

Yuri felt like she was slapped in the face. Taeyeon ignored what she was saying and was looking for another person.

 

"She wasn't in the dorm when I left." Yuri said in a low voice.

"Oh. I see.." Taeng looked down and bit her lip. Then she starts moving again.

"Yahh, where are you going??!" Sooyoung asked. "YAH, Kim Taeyeon!!"

 

Sooyoung kept on shouting but Taeyeon didn't look back.

 

"Aishh that person.. Why is she looking for Tiffany all of a sudden?" Soo scratched her head.

"Sorry about that Yu——" when she turned back to Yuri, she was gone too. "Eh? Where'd she go?"

 

 

 

"Why the heck do people suddenly disappear today?!?"

Yuri went out of the hall.

She feels somewhat disappointed and confused at the same time. She was feeling mixed emotions.

She has no idea why she felt hurt just because of 'that'.

 

 

  "She really liked you from the start. We we're just pretending."   

 

 

Tiffany's voice echoed on her head.

She wondered if what Tiffany said was really true.

Taeng was sitting inside a toilet cubicle, rehearsing her lines.

She was thinking about what she will tell Tiffany when she see her.

 

"Tiffany, I was wrong. It was you who—— No."

"Tiffany, do you still love me? Because I—— wait.. What if she says no?"

"Tiffany, I can't let yo—— NO. I have to go straight to the point. What about..."

 

Taeyeon stopped when she heard girls entered the rest room.

 

 

"Ahh jinjaa~ I still can't believe it!" a girl said.

"Me too!!" the other girl replied. "It was too fast! She just broke up with that girl and then now —— she already have a boyfriend!"

 

Taeyeon's eyes widened. She just kept on listening to their conversation.

 

"I know, right? I wonder how she easily got over with her previous relationship. She just got close with Siwon-oppa after their breakup."

"Well maybe that girl really cheated on her."

"Hey don't say that. You don't even know what really happened.."

"Mmyeah right." the other girl said. "But you know, I actually like that girl more for Fany-unnie than Siwon-oppa. They look cute together~"

"Nae~ I think they're cool too. Do you still remember that kiss?" the girl squealed.

"Hell yeah!! I saw it with my two big eyes!"

The girls spazzed together.

"That was really hot. Gahh~ I can't forget that."

"I really love how they show their affection to the public~"

"Fany-unnie must've loved her so much." the girl sighed.

"——YAHH you're using my lipbalm again!"

"Just a little~"

"Aishh!"

And after that, the girls left the restroom.

It was already afternoon. Most of the students were gone.

Taeyeon was sitting alone on a bench along the empty corridor.

It is too late.

There is nothing I can do.

 

She kept on thinking about it. She can't believe how fast Tiffany changed.

Its the other way around now.

Before, it was Choi Siwon that Tiffany hated. Now it's her.

"I feel stupid." Taeng chuckled.

She wondered what would it be if she just didn't met Tiffany.

 

"Hey there, little kid."

 

Taeyeon looked up. Jessica was in front of her.

"What are doing here?" Taeng asked.

"Well, I was passing by the hallway when I saw you. I just thought you might want some drink." Sica offers her the canned fruit juice she is holding.

"Just leave me alone."

"Come on. Just take it." Sica tossed the drink to her.

Taeng looked up again. "Thanks anyway.."

Jessica sat beside her. They opened their canned drinks together.

"How much is this?" Taeng asked innocently.

"Don't worry," Sica smiled. "I'm giving it for free."

Taeng shrugged.

 

They just both drank their fruit juice quietly.

 

"Were you surprised?" Jessica asked all of a sudden.

Taeyeon looked at her.

"Don't look at me like that."

Taeng looked away.

"Yah, aren't you going to say something?"

"What do you want to hear from me?" Taeyeon took a sip on her fruit juice.

"What? Aren't you bothered——"

"There's nothing I can do about it, right?"

"So you don't care even if Tiffany dated someone she doesn't like?"

"It's her choice."

"No," Jessica glanced at her. "It was because of you."

Taeng furrowed her eyebrows. "You mean she's just trying to make me jealous?"

"Of course not." Sica chuckled. "Why? Were you...?"

 

Taeyeon went quiet. She took a gulp on her drink.

 

"Silence means yes." Jessica said.

"Not all the time."

"I'll take that as a yes."

"Whatever." Taeng looked away.

Jessica finishes off her drink. "Well, I'll admit at first she was just really trying to make you jealous. But now, it's different."

"You're right. It's different. She hates me now."

"If you just saw how hurt she was.."

"Are you trying to tell me that it's my fault?"

"Isn't it?"

Taeng scoffed at her.

"If you just didn't left her——"

"I had no choice!" Taeng said angrily.

"You always have a choice."

"If I let the secret go out, do you think she will still have those admirers until now?"

"So you didn't really want to leave her?"

 

Taeyeon was caught off guard. She went silent again.

 

Jessica studied her closely. She got her.

"Tiffany always thought you didn't care about her. But she was wrong."

Taeng looked away from her gaze.

"You do have feelings for her too, right?" Sica asked.

Taeyeon didn't answer.

"I wish I could help you." Jessica sighed.

"You can't change her mind. You'll just waste your time."

Sica looked at her in disbelief. "Is it okay for you even if she's——"

"It's okay whoever she is with. As long as she's happy, I'm happy too."

"But she's not happy. That's the point."

"How sure are you?"

Jessica hesitated for a moment.

"Just let her do what she want." Taeng said.

 

"Well.. you know," Jessica sighed. "It's not yet too late, Taeyeon."

Taeyeon was on her way back to their dormitory.

 

"Graduation day is getting near. Choi Siwon will probably introduce Tiffany to his family after graduation. If I were you, I won't let that happen."

 

Jessica's words replayed on Taeng's head.

Taeyeon knew that when that time comes, everything will be really over.

"I think I should just forget her." she thought as she walked along the cold, freezing sidewalk.

 

The soft snow started to fall down from the sky, covering the streets with greyish-white ice.

 

Taeyeon stopped walking when she saw Siwon and Tiffany on the other side of the street.

 

 

"Whoaa~ my fingers are getting numb." Siwon was rubbing his hands.

"Where are your gloves?" Tiffany asked.

"I forgot it."

"Aishh. If you're always like that, you'll catch a cold." Fany scolded.

"Aigoo~ you're so cute when you get mad." Siwon patted her face.

"Hmpff."

"Alright, alright. I won't forget it next time. Don't get mad."

"I'm not mad. I'm just kidding."

"Yahh you got me there~"

 

They were both laughing together.

 

 

 

Taeyeon turned her back to them and continued on walking.

She can feel her chest go heavy again.

 

 "If she can forget me, then I think I can forget her too."
