Ryeowook was catching up with Joshua in the kitchen as everyone else planned out how to get to the Chae's territory. Minhyuk stayed with Joshua, not really wanting to leave him. "Got the clingy mate hm?" Asked Ryeowook as he grinned. Joshua laughs as he shakes his head. "Nothing wrong with that," he said. "Not really," said Minhyuk as he sighed. "Must be a human thing," said Joshua as he shrugs. "Probably," said Minhyuk.

"What animal did you end up with?" He asked Ryeowook. "Lynx, it runs in the family," said Ryeowook. "You can't choose your form?" Asked Minhyuk. Joshua shook his head no. "Some families still can, but not ours," he said. "I don't even know how ours started but it was probably from our ancestors choosing a Lynx every time their change came around," he said. "Eventually it got to the point where we couldn't choose anymore and it stuck," he said.

"How long have you been alive?" Asked Minhyuk. "I was born when Joshua left the family," said Ryeowook as he shrugs. "So about 21 years after me?" Asked Joshua as he tilted his head to the side. Ryeowook nodded. "It took a bit longer than usual for me to start changing though," he said. "Maybe because you weren't exposed to the Chae's like I was," said Joshua. "Probably," said Ryeowook. "What kind of person is Siwon?" Asked Minhyuk. "He's a human," said Ryeowook. "Well, a hunter," he said. "He's not well known yet but he does his job well," he said.

"Are you going to stop changing for him?" Asked Joshua. "Probably," said Ryeowook. "I haven't talked to him about it yet," he said. "I may end up doing so since Siwon is the only hunter out of the two of us," he said. "I couldn't bring myself to do it," he said.

"When do your friends want to go tackle the Chae's?" Asked Ryeowook. "Probably tomorrow," said Joshua. Ryeowook nodded. "I can take you close, but I can't go into the property," he said. "Father's relations with them are rather tense right now, and they only know you by your human name so you should be fine," he said. "Typical," said Joshua as he sighed. "I told him that relations with the Chae's wouldn't last, not after everything," he said. "He didn't believe me," he said.

"Well, he believes you now," said Ryeowook as he scratched the back of his head. "But since I found Siwon he kicked me out of the family, I don't even have any contact with him anymore," he said. "He doesn't know what he's missing out on," said Joshua as he sighed. "Is mom still around?" He asked. Ryeowook shook his head. "She left a long time ago, I don't know where she is now but," he said, shrugging. "She said that what father did was stupid and he should be killed for it," he said. "I stayed around until recently when I found my mate," he said.

"Anyway," said Joshua as he turned to Minhyuk. "Go see if the others are done planning," he said. "Sure," said Minhyuk before he ran out of the room to find the others. "You wanted to talk to me personally didn't you?" Ryeowook asked in Korean. Joshua sighed. "You know me so well," he said in Korean.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" Asked Ryeowook. "I wanted to know if they still hold a grudge against me for distracting them when Hyungwon ran off," said Joshua. "No," said Ryeowook. "Who's sending people after me then?" Asked Joshua. "Father is," said Ryeowook. "I don't know what his reasoning is with looking for you but," he said, shrugging. "I can get more information from Siwon when he gets back," he said. "He should be back in time for dinner," he said. Joshua nodded.

Hyungwon walked into the kitchen, looking at Joshua before looking at Ryeowook. "We're heading out tomorrow," he said. "Alright," said Ryeowook. "We're going to get as close as possible without them finding out you're headed into their territory," he said. "What's the plan when you do get there?" He asked. "Confront them," said Hyungwon. "Let them believe that their long lost son has finally come back but then Minhyuk kills me with Daehyun's pistol," he said. Joshua tried not to flinch as he heard what Hyungwon said.

"This is going to be hard on you both," said Hyungwon as he put a hand on Joshua's shoulder. "Stay strong alright? They can't kill you, unless they really want to face the death penalty," he said. Joshua nodded as he looked down. "Jisoo," said Hyungwon as he tilted up Joshua's head with two fingers. "You can stay strong," he said. "I know you can, you lasted so long without me," he said. "You have Minhyuk now," he said. "You can stay strong," he said firmly. Joshua nodded. "Can we have one last night with just us three?" He whispered. "Of course," said Hyungwon. "You're in the middle this time," mumbled Joshua. Hyungwon gave a breathy laugh. "Fine," he said before he leaned in and kissed Joshua on the forehead. Joshua smiled some. "Thanks," he mumbled before moving away.

Siwon came home around dinner time, looking worn out. "Hey Siwon," Ryeowook said in Korean as he looked up from cooking with Joshua. "Hey," said Siwon. "I see we have guests," he said. "Mm," said Ryeowook. "They don't speak Korean, well, except for Joshua, Vernon and Hyungwon," he said. "I'm well aware of that," said Siwon. "Hyungwon already explained to me why they were here," he said. "Are they insane?" He asked. Joshua chuckled some. "We are apparently," he said in Korean. "But you know, nothing is going to bring the Chae's down like seeing their only son killed," he said. "And they can't do a thing to stop us unless they want the death penalty," he said.

Dinner was quiet for everyone, Siwon making small comments with Ryeowook and Vernon translating for Daehyun as he asked Siwon how his missions went. After dinner Ryeowook turned to Joshua. "I'll take you guys out tomorrow morning, good luck and don't die," he said. "Thank you," said Joshua. "Stay safe on the drive back here," he said. "I will," said Ryeowook.

Hyungwon lay sandwiched between Minhyuk and Joshua that night, Joshua clinging to Hyungwon while Minhyuk hugged Hyungwon from behind. "You two are clingy you know that?" Asked Hyungwon as he tried to lighten the mood. "Mm," came Joshua's reply. Minhyuk whined and buried his face into Hyungwon's back. "I just don't want this night to end," he said. Hyungwon sighed. "Neither do I Minhyuk, neither do I," he said. "Stay strong you two," he mumbled. Joshua and Minhyuk hummed in response before they both drifted off to sleep.
