The Odds of Us

As the days turned into weeks, Minzy awoke and smiled seeing Mino fast asleep next to her. Seeing how the rays of light came streaming in, it made him glow. Whether he knew it or not, he made her glow inside. The past two and a half weeks had been the best she had ever felt. It was complete fun and laughter. Obviously they had a few disagreements here and there, but they all blew over because they valued their building friendship. Sighing as she took a well needed shower to wash away their end of the night ritual of drinking the night away, she wondered how her body was able to keep up with all the alcohol. Throwing on a bikini, she frowned as she looked to see that all her aloha wear was dirty. Unlocking the door, she peeked out to see that Mino was still in the same position she had left him. Tip toeing out, she made her way to her suit case to find some clothes.

"Is this a dream," Mino mumbled as he slowly opened his eyes to see Minzy bent over in a bikini.

She squeaked as she dropped to the ground next to her suit case, "Close your eyes."

"Why, I want to see you," he mumbled as he shifted in somewhat of a drunken zombie like motion to where she was.

"Mino I mean it," she snapped as she panicked and sat up pulling the first piece of clothing she could to cover herself.

Through sleepy eyes, Mino glanced over the bed to see a mesh net like covering over Minzy's bikini body. Grinning lazily, he sighed, "You're hot."

Gazing down to see what she had pulled out, she quickly covered herself in embarassment. She looked like she was attempting to seduce him in such a provocative way she lay with the mess net that covered nothing. Looking back at him, she was about to scold him when she noticed he had fallen back asleep and now hanging off the side of the bed. Grateful that he had fallen asleep, she tied the mesh covering onto her hips, she got back up and moved to the bathroom.

Gathering all the clothing that had piled up, she made her way to look for the laundry room. Grateful to have to close to her room, she popped the clothing into the washer and walked back to her room to retrieve some money. Letting the sleeping Mino stay face planted in his current position, she made her way back to the laundry room buying soap and starting up the machine. Glancing around, she noticed that the pool entrance was nearby.

Shrugging as she noticed she had an hour to spare, she walked towards the pool to find it empty. Tossing her mesh covering onto a chair, she dipped her toes into the cool water before entering. The thrill of the cool water instantly being wrapped around her had her fully awake. Humming to herself, she swam around as if she didn't have a care in the world. Turning onto her back, she began to float in the water, letting the warmth of the sun contrast to cool water beneath her. It was such a good feeling that she didn't notice the man approaching her. Squinting an eye open when the sun seemed to have suddenly disappear, she looked to see Mino eyeing her.

"So it wasn't a dream," he yawned as he pulled off his shirt and cannon balled into the pool causing a big splash and for her to lose her balance floating.

"Mino," she grumbled and squealed as she tried to swim away as he acted like a shark out for his prey when he began to swim towards her. "No," she laughed before she was soon caught and dunked under the water. Struggling out of his arms, she pushed herself up out of the water and dunked his head in before he could fully submerge from the water. This earned her a quick sweep to the legs as she felt herself going under, but was then caught bridal style in Mino's arms as he held her up like his prize.

"I got you," he tried to tease in his best monster like voice he could conjure.

She laughed as she gazed up at him, "Alright you can put me down now."

"And what if I don't want to," he challenged her.

"Then you'll have to take care of me," she mindlessly teased.

Setting her down on the steps that led into the pool, he grinned as he placed his arms on either sides of her as he looked at her face, "What if I want to take care of you?"

She grinned as she wiped the water from his face and cupped his face in her small hands. Gazing at his boyish smile, she couldn't help but spread her grin into a smile to match his, "You better take care of me. I'm the only friend you got."

Mino didn't know if it was the alcohol still in his system, or the way that she was looking at him, but he moved forward and pressed his lips to hers. Kissing her soft lips, he had found himself constantly thinking about over the past week. He couldn't remember the last time he felt as good as he did with her. Honestly this trip was the best thing to happen to him in so long that he didn't realize just how much he missed out on life until he met her. Turning her face a little to deepen their kiss, he swiped his tongue over her lower lip to hear a soft hum of approval fall from her lips. Taking that as a hint, he pulled her closer to him. Helping her legs to wrap around his waist, he held her against him and kissed her harder. Feeling her nails scrape down his upper arms and into his hair to massage his scalp sent electricity running down his spine. She was like a breath of fresh air as they continue to make out.

"Eew! Mom there's people blocking the way to get into the pool," a little boy called.

Minzy was the first to break free, as she looked up at the little boy who looked at her in disgust. "Sorry," she sheepishly said as she pulled out of Mino's grasp and walked out the pool. Grabbing her mesh covering to tie onto her hips, she quickly walked away from the pool and rushed into the laundry room to see that the clothing was ready to be placed into the dryer. Tossing the clothing into the dryer, she realized she had to go get more money when Mino was by her side popping in coins and starting up the dryer for her. "Thanks," she grinned as she found it hard to look at Mino.

Mino sighed as he ran his fingers through his wet hair. He was disappointed that their make out was interrupted by that little turd, but more so disappointed that Minzy was standing before him and avoiding eye contact. "Minzy...I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to spring myself on you like that."

"No it's fine," she tried to sound calm as her cheeks blushed at how much she was really living in that moment of their first kiss.

Mino could sense her putting on a front and didn't want to make this more uncomfortable than it already was. "Can I take you out on a date?"

Minzy was surprised and grateful for him being straight forward, "Sure."

"Not as friends but like as man and woman," he added hoping she would catch his drift.

She laughed as she smacked his arm, "Yes you can take me on a date."

Minzy was grateful that it wasn't awkward between them as they returned with the clothes in hand to her room. There the pair talked about the fun they had the night before as they folded their clothes. "So when are we going on this date," she asked as she plopped onto the bed.

He shrugged as he laid next to her, "We tried every place out except one."

She turned to look at him curious to where this one spot was, "Where?"

"It's a secret," he wiggled his eyebrows over at her.

She coughed a laugh as she reached for a pillow and wacked him in the face causing them both to laugh as it ensued a pillow fight. Taking the pillow from her, he began to wack her with it as she laughed trying to block his blows, "Stop!"

"You hit me first," he laughed as he trapped her underneath him. Staring down at her, he stopped as his eyes fell upon her lips again. His thoughts led back to the pool earlier and wondered if they would feel just as good if he were to take her lips again. Descending down, he grinned as she closed her eyes as if preparing for the assault. Stopping to where he hovered over her lips, he couldn't help but think about how beautiful she was. The experiences she gave him, her bold attitude, and her loveable personality, it all made her look even more tempting than she already was to him.

Meanwhile Minzy lay still as she awaited to feel his lips to hers and when it didn't come, she opened her eyes to see him staring at her, "Are you going to kiss me or what?"

"You told me to stop remember," he chuckled.

"I said stop attacking me with the pillow, not stop what you're about to do to me," she clarified. She was suddenly left breathless as he finally closed the gap between them. Kissing her roughly as they began to toss and turn in the sheets. Finding her way to pin him underneath her, she straddled his hips and smirked as she gave one last lingering kiss and pulled away. "Okay we need to stop before we get carried away."

"What's wrong with getting carried away," he asked as he pulled her back into his strong embrace. Nuzzling his face in the side of her neck he breathed, "You know you want to." Softly pressing lingering kisses along her neck, he was getting addicted to her.

"Mino," she bit the corner of her lip as she forced herself to move away. "Can we first go on this date? I want to know you better before I get to know you know you," she hinted as she looked him up and down.

He sighed as he sat up, "You're right. I don't want to give you a special part of me if I end up having a horrible time with you on our date." She glared at him, which made him laugh, "Fine, I won't touch you until after our date."

"Good," she said though she felt somewhat disappointed. "So when is our date?"

"Tonight," he chuckled as he moved to get up. "I guess I better go then."

"Go," Minzy panicked. "Why would you go," she asked seeing as he spent every waking moment with her.

He nodded as he took his aloha wear, "I have to gear up for our date. Will you wear something nice?"

"Yeah," she sadly said as she watched him reaching for the door. "Mino do you really have to go," she frowned.

"Yes or I'll probably not keep my word on not touching you until after our date," he sighed. "See you tonight," he grinned as he left.

Minzy found herself in gitters as she struggled to find something to wear. After flinging all her clothing around, she gave in and decided to go shopping. By passing the aloha store, she looked around and stopped at a shop cute dress shop. It was small, but had a good size collection of dresses. "Is there anything I can help you with," the cashier smiled as she entered.

She shrugged as she looked around, "I need to find a dress for tonight. Something along the lines that say I want to be more than friends but not too ty."

The woman laughed as she nodded, "Sure, let's see what we can find."

After trying on what felt like the entire store, she finally found the right one. Turning from side to side, she grinned feeling like a million bucks, "I think we've found the one."

"I'll take it," Minzy said with a smile.

Returning back to her room, she was surprised by the the cart of sweets, champagne and red roses that awaited her in her room. Smiling as she ate a piece of chocolate, she picked up the card that had her name in it. Inside it had the location and time. Smiling to herself, she popped the champagne and started to get ready.

Minzy ran her fingers through her long loose curls. Smiling at herself, she couldn't remember the last time she had really got ready. Was it months ago? No it was longer, it was when Bobby had transferred to his current company. Bobby. He was the reason she was there in the first place. He was supposed to be here with her. This was supposed to be their trip to take things to the next level. She was sure he was going to propose to her. But no, he wasn't here. He was being a hard worker back at home while she was here preparing to go on a date with a man she had spent all her time on the trip with, outside of the first three days of course.

Quietly sitting with her hands in her lap, she didn't know what to think. In the back of her mind she knew she should remain faithful to the man she had been with for the last couple of years. The man who she had shared her life with and had promised to stick it out with him as he worked his way to the top. But instead, she glanced at herself and felt selfish as she thought of Mino. She declared herself a bad woman as she remembered what she promised to Mino that they would forget their sad love lives and live for the moment. Seeing the time she pushed aside her doubts and made her way to the door.

With the card in hand, she found herself walking on the other side of the cruise ship. The high heels were becoming a little much, but she told herself she had to be nearing the location. Coming to an elevator, she was confused as the map she had just looked at told her the location was here. Entering the elevator, she was in awe at how it was fully glass to look out at the beautiful ocean. When the doors to the elevator opened, she grinned finding herself at the room number that she had memorized after searching for it for some time. Walking to the double doors, she was about to knock when the doors were opened. She was in awe at the large and spacious area. It looked almost like a mansion as the guy who introduced himself as one of the buttlers for tonight guided her past the two sets of spiraling stair cases and out to what looked like a private deck where she saw the tall dashing man standing by the balcony over looking the waters. Turning around, she felt like her breath was taken away as he stood in his dreamy dress top and slacks. Shinning his pearly whites at her, he walked over smoothly and grinned. She could've sworn she was going to melt away as he took her hands in his.

"Was it hard to find your way over," he asked.

She chuckled as she nodded, "If I knew you were going to take me to the furthest part of the boat I would've wore different shoes."

He gazed down to her black high heels and grinned, "You look more than nice. You look stunning."

"You don't look so bad yourself," she shrugged as he turned still holding one hand and guiding her over to the balcony to over look the ocean. "What do you think?"

"It's beautiful," Minzy smiled as she took hold of the ledge and watched the sun set on the horizon. Glancing over to Mino who stayed looking at her, she grinned, "What?"

"I want to show you something," he said as he took her hand and led her to the beautifully set table. She followed his lead, feeling so natural to hold hands with him. Taking a seat, it almost looked like a commerical for the cruise line as he moved back to stand on the balcony with the sun setting behind him. He nodded to the buttler and soon hip hop music filled the room as he bobbed his head and began to move smoothly to the beat. Giggling as she found herself clapping along, he danced so confidently as he popped locked and dropped on one knee before her. Winking as he bit the corner of his bottom lip like a heart throb from a boy band. This made Minzy laugh as she fanned herself and faked as if she were going to faint. Placing the back of her hand onto her forehead, she leaned back into her chair.

"Who taught you those moves," she smiled as he twirled up onto his feet and sat in the chair across from her.

"Wouldn't you like to know," he raised an eyebrow at her. Glancing over to the buttler, he waved his hand and the buttler was quick to move and pop the bottle of champagne as other maids filled in with their meal. "I hope you brought your appetite. It's a six course meal."

"Six," Minzy breathed in disbelief as a fancy designed plate of salad was placed before her.

He shrugged indifferent to the number, "It sounds fancy but it's really a meal split up into smaller plates."

"Okay," she nodded, never experiencing a six course meal.

"So tell me about yourself," he said as he began to eat his salad. "What do you do for a living?"

Minzy grinned as she followed his lead. Biting into the fresh bunch of greens, she realized she had never shared anything about her personal life with him since she had met him. The closest they got to personal was their first night together when they talked of more so her sad love life rather than his. She remembered he shared briefly of a woman named Chaerin. She couldn't forget the name it was very pretty sounding. After that they had promised to live in the moment and that stayed true until this morning. This morning when he had called her hot in his drunken state, then made out in the pool, and almost lost all resolve back in her room. The thought of what could have transpired had her fanning herself as she nervously laughed, "Well...I was an interior designer. But I placed that dream on hold for...other dreams." The thoughts of Bobby promising to give her the world came to mind as she remembered so stupidly falling for it. She wished she could jump back in time to scream at herself. Telling herself of the waste of time, the waste of years really to have nothing to show for it. Gazing down at the table, she tried to block out the heart wrenching truth as she sighed, "What about you? What do you do?"

He shrugged, "I own my own company with a few smaller ones on the side. Surprisingly we're in the same field. I would've pegged you as a hip hop instructor."

She chuckled as she shook her head, "No, my parents would never approve. It was a hobby. Though I must admit, since my other dreams didn't work out I might as well try to design and make my own studio."

Watching as the maids brought out the next plate, he nodded a thanks before turning his attention back on Minzy, "Who says that those other dreams can't still come true?"

She shrugged as she too thanked the maid for the next plate, "You might think me silly, but above being an interior designer or even a hip hop instructor there is another dream that I want."

"What is it, if you don't mind me asking," he grinned intrigued by her revelation.

She pressed her lips tightly together, debating if she should share with him what she had been wanting for years now. "Well...promise you won't laugh?"

"I promise," he held his hands up, giving her a serious look.

"I've always wanted to have a child of my own," she breathed as if it was a sigh of relief. "I've always wanted to be a mother."

Mino was quiet as he sat staring at how her face lit up as she was lost in thought. When she finally looked her way, awaiting his response he smiled, "It's a beautiful dream. Don't let go of it."

"I won't," she lightly laughed feeling relieved that he didn't judge her for such a cliche kind of dream. Folding her hands over her lap, she glanced out at the ocean, "Something in my gut told me that this trip was it. He was going to propose to me. I was going to say yes...and we should've been mapping out our future and our family..." She went quiet as that dream was shattered with one simple text. He couldn't make it. She stood embarassed for holding up the line. Standing alone and suffering alone the first few days. "This was supposed to be it," she laughed sadly as she wiped the stray tear that fell from her eyes. Glancing over to Mino who sat quietly watching her, she quickly stood on her feet walking out to the balcony. Feeling the cool breeze, she stared at the moon that softly lit the sky.

Mino softly strode over to stand next to her, following her gaze he focused his attention on the moon, "You know the moon is constantly chasing after the sun. She has dreams to shine bright like the sun, but little does she know her glow is luminous." Using his finger tips to turn her chin to face him, he smiled, "Don't give up on your dreams even if they seem near impossible they will come true." Taking her in his arms, he held her tightly as she bit her lower lip. Softly sniffling in his arms, she felt so secure in her vulnerable state of mind. Leaning her head against his chest, she could hear the soft thrumming of his heart beat and relaxed.

"What's your dream," Minzy mumbled as she tried to stop herself from completely crumbling into pieces.

"My dream," he repeated as he held her comfortably in his arms. "Well...my dreams are...to be happy."

Minzy pulled away enough to gaze up at him to see him smiling down at her, "Are you happy?"

The way the moonlight made Minzy glow was damn near breath taking to him. Not to mention with the way her plump lips were screaming at him for another attack. "Honestly this is the happiest I've ever felt in so long."

Minzy grinned as she tip toed up at him and pecked his cheek, "Me too." Her words made him boldly dip her. This swift motion, caused her to yelp as she automatically clutched onto his arms. "Mino," she breathed.

"Minzy you probably may think that I'm crazy for not knowing much about you. But what I do know I love. I...I love you Minzy. I love you," he softly said as he searched her eyes for a reaction. She couldn't believe what she was hearing as she stared at the face of the man she had grown to love. It was like a light bulb went off in her head as she used one of her hands to grab him by the collar and pull him down. Crushing her lips to his, she laughed as they fumbled onto the ground. Kissing him on the cool hardwood floor, she felt so alive. The way his lips so effortlessly worked wonders against her very own, she could have sworn kissing was his God given talent. Her hands found its way underneath his dress shirt and she could feel his wash board six pack. Grazing them with her finger nails, she chuckled as he groaned into their heated make out. Wrapping her legs around his waist, she was confused as he stilled. "Wait," he mumbled as he picked her up bridal style. "Leave our plates and go for the night. We'd like our privacy," he told the buttler as he walked past him and down the hall. Burying her face in embarassment that she had forgotten there were others in the place, she was impressed to see the large bedroom he had walked them into. Laying her gently onto the bed, he smirked as he hopped over her. Hovering over her as if trapping her between him and the bed, she bit her lip shyly. "I know I broke my promise to not touch you until the end of our date. But I want to love you..."

"Then shut up and do it already," she coughed a laugh knowing damn well she would be going to hell for being such a bad woman. Pulling his body over hers, she wanted to love him just as much as he professed to love her.

Minzy awoke to the sun light beaming onto her face. Softly groaning against the warmth she laid against, she slowly fluttered her eyes open to see her entangled in the sheets with Mino. She was completely and so was he. Cuddled against him, flashes of their passionate love making ran through her mind making her blush. She felt guilty for comparing all the men she had loved in her life and honestly no one could compare to him. Not even Bobby, her now ex-boyfriend. Shaking her head at how good Mino had been, she couldn't believe she had mentally broken it off with Bobby. Maybe she had broken it off when she had tossed her phone into the water, or maybe after she had finished crying over him for three days. Whatever the reason, Mino the man holding her close was the strength she needed to help her get over it.

Slipping out of Mino's hold, she went about picking up her dress and tossing it on as well as grabbing her heels. Seeing her thong peeking out of the pillow that Mino slept on, she weighed her options and decided to leave it. She didn't want to wake him as she made her way out of the mansion of an apartment. Getting a couple of side glances, she knew she probably looked a mess but she couldn't care less as she ordered a coffee and made her journey across the largest cruise ship she ever walked. Sipping on her coffee with heels in hand, she buzzed herself into her room and made her way towards the bathroom. Flipping on the shower, she stripped and sighed as she stepped in letting the water casacade down her aching body. Though she felt good, she felt damn near exhausted. Yawning as she threw on a towel, she walked out into her room and jumped seeing Mino sleeping on her bed with shorts on. Shaking her head, she grabbed her aloha wear and rushed back into the bathroom. Pulling on her clothes, she ate a few chocolates before climbing into bed next to him. Settling in bed, she grinned as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against him. "You smell good," he breathed as he kissed the top of her head.

Rolling her eyes as she smacked his hands that started to wander. She huffed, "I'm tired so if you're going to be laying in my bed at least let me rest a little bit."

"Fine," he grumbled as he moved to kiss the side of her neck then pulling away to make his way to the bathroom. Smiling as she heard the shower turn on, she pulled the covers over her grateful to have the bed to herself.

The next week the two got little to no sleep. They had a hard time keeping their hands off of each other like little hormonal teenagers. Constantly face, hands all over each other, and not to mention the continual love making. Rolling away from Mino, Minzy panted as she shook her head, "I'm hungry."

This made Mino laugh as he wiped the sweat from his brow, "I mean we have been working out a lot so it's understandable."

"Shut up," she chuckled as her stomach growled on response. "Seriously though, we've been eating horribly since we hooked up."

"Hooked up," he eyed her suspiciously. "What, am I some kind of boy to you?"

"I mean...it's been great and all..." she laughed as a pillow was thrown her way. "But really can we get some real food instead of junk food? I'm starving."

"Yes if you apologize for calling me a boy," he frowned over at her.

She coughed a laugh over at him, "I didn't call you that. You said that about yourself."

"True," he sighed as he sat up. Looking over at the woman he could not keep his hands off, he smiled, "Let's go get something to eat."

"Yes," she squealed in delight as she jumped out of bed to get ready.

Minzy thanked the waiter who had given them a flyer as they ate. Apparently there was an end of the cruise celebration happening tomorrow night. "Tomorrow night is the last night of the cruise," she breathed in disbelief as she ate her food. "I can't believe it's already been a month."

"I know that's crazy," Mino agreed as he gazed over his flyer. "There's gonna be fireworks."

"Nice," she nodded as she inhaled her meal.

Mino laughed seeing her wipe her plate clean, "You weren't lying when you said you were hungry."

"Hey, don't mess with a woman and her food," she said in a scolding manner before burping and laughing.

"Gross," Mino laughed as he waved his hand in front of his face in a funny disgusted look.

"It's natural," Minzy shrugged as she slumped back in her chair completely satisfied. She had grown way too comfortable with Mino and if her mother were to see her so relaxed like she was at the moment she would probably pass out in embarassment. "One more day and then it's back to reality," she said out loud to herself. The thought in itself had many things running through her mind. She had to confront Bobby, find a job, explain to her parents why she no longer had the highly esteemed future son in law, search for another place to stay...she couldn't believe just how much her life was consumed by her being with Bobby. But those overbearing thoughts came to an end as she felt strong yet gentle hands take her own. Glancing over to the owner of such hands, she found the man who they belonged to smiling at her and letting her know it would be okay. Squeezing his hands, she intertwined their fingers trusting in wordless meaning that he would have her back and whatever they shared would continue in reality.

The cruise line did not disappoint as Mino and Minzy found themselves partying it up like it was their first and last time. The two danced in the vast over crowded decks of people who were also living it up. The cruise line had provided endless alcohol and food with djs and party games on every floor. Mino and Minzy made it a goal to visit as many of the spots on the ship before ending up on the top deck. Minzy and Mino danced to the loud music bumping before the lights went low and a voice echoed through an intercom that the fireworks would be starting shortly. Finding themselves over looking the dark waters, Minzy gladly let Mino wrap his arms around her. Leaning comfortably back against him, she let him settle his chin onto her shoulder as his hands came to rest onto her hips. Everything about this moment felt right. He felt right. Being on the cruise felt right. This very moment felt just right as she turned to look into his eyes. "I love you and I'm so glad I made the promise to live in the moment with you," she honestly said. This was the first time she had said the words to him out loud and it was all that it took to find those addictive lips on hers. Turning in his embrace, she kissed him harder while the fireworks began to light the sky. Feeling her stomach do flips, she continue to breath I love yous against his lips feeling them ring truer each time she said them and was rewarded with deeper and more passionate kisses.

Minzy didn't sleep a wink as they made love until the morning light. Laying still as Mino had fallen fast asleep, she stared at the window as the rays of sun light came beaming in. As much as she wanted to close her eyes and rest with him, she knew she had to pack. Forcing herself up, she pouted as she looked at the messy room. Why she hadn't thought to pack was beyond her. Grabbing all her clothes, she began to throw them towards her suitcase. Moving about her room as Mino continue to sleep without a care in the world, she was able to take a shower and pack the last of her things. Huffing as she finally sat next to Mino, she groaned as the captain's voice echoed into the intercom that they were about to board land.

"What's the matter," Mino mumbled as he began to stir.

"We're back and I didn't even get to sleep," she sighed heavily feeling really tired.

"You're the one who couldn't keep your hands off me," he teased earning a smack to his arm.

Taking a pillow in hand, she continue to wack at him, "You're right. I just want to beat you to death."

Mino laughed as he caught hold of the pillow and sat up yawning, "Well I guess I should go pack."

"Mino," she said in almost a whiny voice.

"Don't worry, I'll meet you on the dock. I promise," he grinned lazily as he pecked her lips and sluggishly made his way out.

"Don't be too long," she called after him to see his hand wave back at her. Sighing deeply, she glanced out the window seeing the ship come to a slow halt. Minzy knew it was dangerous for her to lay down so instead she moved to stand by the window and watch as various workers went about helping guide the ship to dock. As the captain called and thanked everyone for a great month together, he hoped they would all return again before wishing them good luck in getting back to reality. "Yeah, I need it," she mumbled to herself as she watched people filing off of the ship. After waiting a couple of minutes, she grabbed her bags and headed out.

Finding herself shuffling along with the various people leaving, she moved onto the dock and grinned as she stepped aside and looked around. Hearing her name called, she grinned as she turned around and was surprised to see the man who had scooped her up off her feet. "Minzy," Bobby breathed as he hugged her tightly. "Baby I've missed you," he smashed his lips to hers. "Welcome back home."

When she was placed back down on the ground, she steadied herself against Bobby, feeling her world whirl around. When she was able to find her balance, she looked up at Bobby confused, "Wha...what are you doing here?"

"What do you mean, I'm here to pick you up," he chuckled as he tried to swoop down and kiss her again.

But she held her hand up against him, to stop him from moving any closer, "Why? I thought you had to work." She was so disoriented by his sudden appearance, she found it hard to wrap her head around it.

Bobby sighed as he placed the bouquet of roses into her arms, "I stepped away from the office to come and get you. It's the least..." Minzy had stopped listening as she glanced around to look for Mino. She wondered where he was at as she looked to see a couple of stragglers walking off. Watching as the last couple walked off, she cocked her head to the side as the workers began to close the dock as if they were the last ones to get off. "Who are you looking for," Bobby asked.

She waved him off as she walked over to the works, "Excuse me? Did everyone get off already?"

"All except the crew members," the worker nodded.

"Oh," Minzy relaxed as she frowned. Turning back to her luggage, she glanced at Bobby and grinned, "I know you have more important things to attend to, so if you have to head back to the office you can." Grabbing the handles of her suitcases, she moved to take a seat on the nearest bench.

"Wait, what's going on," Bobby chuckled as if she was pulling some kind of joke. "Minzy I came to get you..."

"I'm waiting for someone," Minzy simply said trying her best to stay patient with her lack of sleep and all.

"Who are you waiting for," Bobby asked curiously and somewhat frustrated. "Are you waiting for an apology? Because you're right. You deserve one..."

"No Bobby please, I don't want to argue right now. I didn't sleep at all and I would like it if you let me wait in peace," she breathed trying to stay calm.

"Who are you waiting for," Bobby growled feeling himself getting upset.

Minzy ignored his frustration as she noticed the crew members exiting. Watching as they began to file out, Minzy looked at them one by one and still saw no sight of Mino. When the last man walked off, the workers went about closing the dock and working on the ship. "What the hell," Minzy breathed as she marched back to the workers. "Excuse me, is that everyone?"

The workers looked among each other before one called through a walkie talkie, "Is there anyone left on board?"

"Nope it's all cleared," someone responded back.

Minzy's heart dropped as she shook her head and grabbed her bags, ignoring the man that followed her as she made her way to find a taxi. "Minzy what is going on," Bobby asked totally lost by her odd behavior. "Please tell me what I can do to apologize to you," he begged.

But she was too caught up in her emotions to hear what he was asking, "Please just leave me alone. I'll find my own way home."

Bobby sighed as he stood in her way to see the tears streak down her face. He knew he had messed up, but he hadn't realized just how bad by the betrayal that was apparent on her face, "Just let me take you home."

"No," she mumbled through her tears as she waited in line for a taxi.

"Fine, we'll wait for a taxi then," Bobby gave in as he stood next to her.

"Bobby please," she cried harder. "Just leave me alone!" He didn't say anything as he stood his ground, only moving her suit cases forward as the line moved. "I'm going...to...to take a taxi," she stuttered out through her tears.

"Okay we're taking a taxi," he nodded to agree.

"Can you stop embarassing me," she sobbed.

"Then let me take you home," he said softly. "Set aside our differences and let me make sure you get home safe and sound."

Minzy knew she was making a scene as people tried their best not to look at her. Glancing back at the now empty dock, she shook her head and stepped out of the line, "Where did you park?"

"This way," Bobby said relieved as he pulled her suit cases for her to follow him. Refusing to let her help him pack her bags into the car, he gently guided her to the passenger seat before packing away her bags. Hopping into the driver's seat, he drove off as Minzy quietly cried and stared out the window. Pulling up to her apartment, he quickly jumped out to take her bags out before she could and moved to badge the door open. Holding the door for her, he badged to get the elevator for her and stood along side her as she stood quietly waiting with him.

When the doors opened, Minzy stepped into the doorway and failed miserably at cracking him a grin, "Thanks but I can take it from here."

Bobby knew he was in deep when she was refusing to let him up, "Minzy just let me carry your bags up."

"You've done enough, thank you. Please don't waste your day here. I know you have to be back at work," she said harsher than she meant to. Sniffling, she wiped at her eyes and tugged at her luggage, "Thanks for the ride." Grateful that Bobby didn't persist, she let out a deep sigh as the doors closed. Leaning her head upon the cool metal doors, she jumped as the elevator dinged and she shuffled to get her bags off the elevator and down the hall to her apartment. Buzzing herself in, she rolled the bags in and made her way to her room where she collapsed onto her bed to cry her eyes out.

Minzy was a complete mess, but she knew she had to pull herself together at least to grab some of her things before Bobby got home. Huffing as she tossed another bag by the front door, she went back to the room to see if there were anything else she should take right away. Scanning the room, she was still a little out of it to really think as she walked towards the front door. There were six bags and suit cases ready to go and she wondered how the hell she was going to get them out the door and into a taxi. Finding no use in over thinking it, she walked to her bags and slung one on each shoulder and then placed a bag onto each suit case. Shuffling to the front door, she tried to reach over the suitcase to open the door but found it difficult with such bulky items in the way. After a few attempts, she was able to catch hold of the door handle and push her way out. But the momentum was a little much with the efforts of Bobby pulling the door open which sent her flipping over her suitcase and face planting onto the ground.

"Minzy," Bobby breathed in surprise as he was instantly by her side. "Are you okay?"

She waved him off as she groaned, "It's fine."

"Minzy what is going on," he continue to ask as he saw all the bags she was trying to carry out. He had a feeling to leave work a little earlier than usual with how things had gone down between them earlier. And sadly his worries were confirmed as she pushed herself up and decided to drag it all. "Wait Minzy please, let's talk about this..."

"Bobby please move," she said through gritted teeth. She was aching from her fall and most definitely embarassed by it all. She thought she had the perfect escape, but obviously that was not happening as he continue to try and move in front of her.

Using his body as a blockade he frowned, "Where will you go? Back to your parents? We both know what will happen..."

"I don't have to tell you where I'm going. I just need you to move so I can get the hell out of here," she growled as she tried to push past him.

Bobby held his ground a moment longer before he moved to wrap his arms around her. Pulling her in for a tight embrace, he stood holding her. "Minzy we are friends before anything else. If you're mad at me, stay mad at me but don't leave...not like this," he softly spoke. "When I know you've got things figured out then we can talk about you leaving until then let's take these heavy bags back to the apartment."

Meanwhile Minzy stood clutching onto his shirt as she kept her face buried in his chest. Trembling as the tears fell from her eyes, she didn't say anything nor did she have to as Bobby let the bags fall and gently guided her back into the apartment. Once he had helped her onto the nearest sofa, he moved to bring all her bags back into the apartment as she huddled up into a ball. Holding herself as she cried, she didn't know why she was such a mess as Bobby grinned over at her and asked if she were hungry. Shaking her head no, he was a ty cook and knew he was really asking her what she wanted him to order. Settling onto the sofa, she could no longer fight just how heavy her eyelids had become.

Minzy awoke to the throbbing feeling in her head. Though she tried to shift around hoping it would help, it only made her more aware of the aches and pains she was feeling all over. Subconsciously lifting her arm up and over her face, she grunted feeling wet. Squinting her eyes open, she looked at her arm to see that was shiny and slick with sweat. Forcing her achy body to sit up, she looked to see that she was completely soaked in her own sweat. Pushing off the sofa onto wobbly legs, she shuffled her way to the bathroom. Throwing herself into the tub, she kicked at the faucet and laid in the cool porcelain tub watching as it filled. Reaching for the soap she scrubbed the best she could before simply just laying there. Using the weight of her foot to turn off the water, she found herself losing conscious to the soft sounds of water.

Minzy was startled awake by a blurry Bobby. She was confused to why he was looking at her so concerned but even more confused by why he sounded muffled. Her questions were answered as Bobby rolled up his sleeves and moved to pull her out of the water. Shivering at the gust of air, she was met by the comforting warmth of Bobby's body heat as he carried her to the bedroom. Put me down, she wanted to say but all that fell from her lips was a soft grunt. She had no enegry to escape his grasp as he gently laid her onto the bed, letting her soak the covers as he went to find a towel. Trembling from laying in her wet clothes, she groaned as Bobby manuvered her back into his arms as he held her in a towel. "You're fevering," he breathed as he felt her head and the side of her neck. His touch scortching her skin as she snugged further into him. "I'm gonna help you change into some dry clothes," he said as he gently laid her onto the bed and went about finding her some clothes. Noticing that alot of her clothes were gone, he returned with one of his shirts in hand.

"No," Minzy croaked as Bobby tried to help her.

He sighed, seeing her so stubborn even though she was so sick, "C'mon, let's get you changed and I'll let you rest." Without another word he was already helping her out of her clothes and quickly slipping on the shirt that was like a baggy pyjama on her. Helping her onto the dryer part of the bed, he then bundled her up under the covers and walked out to order some hot soups.

Minzy awoke in the arms of Bobby. She was wrapped up in covers as she blinked her eyes open confused that the sun had risen and yet he was still asleep. This was so unlike him to be still asleep when he was long gone at work before the sun fully arose in the sky. "Bobby," she croaked dryly. Shifting in his arms, she tried again when he didn't stir, "Bobby..."

"Huh..." he hummed as he held her tighter against him.

"You're late for work," she mumbled.

"I'm not going to work today. You haven't been feeling well the last couple of days," he breathed sleepily.

Minzy was confused by his words, "Last couple of days?" Sitting up, she was a little light headed as she looked down to see that she was in another one of his shirts. Huffing in disbelief, she moved to stand and groaned feeling the rush of the blood back into her legs that were like jello. Slowly shuffling to the bathroom, she frowned seeing the mess of clothing tossed too and fro. Plopping ont the toilet, she closed her eyes and tried to think of what happened and sure enough if her memory served her right she had been sick for a couple days. Sighing, she slipped out of the shirt and hopped into the shower smelling the stench of sweat she had acquired. "Gross," she breathed as she took a long hot shower.

Minzy went about cleaning the bathroom and bedroom, grinning as she saw Bobby fast asleep in bed. Making her way out to the kitchen, she scrunched her nose seeing all the garbage and trash from take out food. Grabbing a trash bag, she went to work cleaning the apartment before she left to the store. Returning with groceries in hand, she went about cooking a meal for them both.

"It smells good," Bobby yawned as he came walking out of the room to sit at the table.

Minzy grinned as she placed various items she had just cut up onto the table before adding the finishing touches to the sizzling kalbi beef she had grilled. Placing it onto the table, she motioned for him to dig in. Smiling as he dove in, she watched him eat away. "Sorry I kept you away from your work. I know how important your work is to you."

Bobby stopped, swallowing what he had in his mouth he grinned, "You're important too."

She sat quietly as she thought of how to best tell him what was on her mind, "Bobby I don't know how to say this, but I feel that it's best if I move out by the end of the month." She watched as he froze and moved away from the food to take in what she was saying. "I respect you enough to tell you that when you didn't show up for our cruise it was the last straw for us. You let me down and I can't excuse it any more." She paused as she thought of the cruise and felt her heart ache at the memories of Mino. "On the cruise I did meet someone, but obviously it was all fun and games. Though it was nothing special to that person, it was something for me. I learned that I shouldn't wait for my happiness. I deserve to be happy now and you do as well. So I hope that you can understand that I do love you...I just can no longer be in love with you anymore."

The silence in the air that followed was thick with emotion. Minzy finally finding relief in the burden of holding onto something that was long gone and Bobby realizing how his priorities were far off of what he thought they'd be. "Okay," Bobby softly spoke. Sighing deeply, he gazed into his eyes, "I'm grateful that you have the courage to tell me the truth no matter how much it hurts. I will help you move out by the end of the month."

Minzy reached over to take his hand in hers and she grinned as she gave him a comforting squeeze, "Thank you."

Minzy felt the jitters in her stomach as Bobby drove them with the music softly playing. Clutching her coffee in hand, she was nervous about this interview. "Minzy are you okay," he asked as he glanced over to her staring out the window. "Are you nervous?"

"Yeah, are you sure this is a good idea," she asked even though they had talked about it over the past week.

"Why wouldn't it be? You have your degree it's time to put it to use," he grinned as he grabbed the coffee she had made him. Sipping on it, he let out a sigh of relief, "Hey if you fail miserably just know you make one hell of a coffee."

This made Minzy chuckle as she took a sip from her mug, "That's comforting to know."

"I kid, you're going to do great," he grinned as he pulled up to the office building. "Let's do this," he smiled brightly as he hopped out of the car. Minzy quietly followed Bobby into the building where he politely greeted people as they walked in. Nearing an office, he walked up to the desk and smiled to the assistant that greeted him. "Will you do me a favor and see that the conference room is set up? We have an interview today."

"Yes sir," she smiled brightly.

"Thank you Lee Hayi," Bobby nodded as she walked away. Turning he motioned for Minzy to take a seat in one of the chairs or sofa. "We'll be with you shortly. Good luck." Raising his coffee mug up to her, he walked away to leave her to her own devices. Minzy settled into the closest chair to her and felt her palms go sweaty. She was so nervous, she thought she could just melt away right then and there. Trying to calm her pounding heart, returning footsteps and her stiffen as she saw Bobby return with a bright smile. "Hello are you here for the interview?"

Minzy gawked at him in disbelief, unsure if he was for real or not. "Umm...yes?"

"The name is Bobby, no need to be afraid. Follow me," he nodded as he walked into the direction that the young assistant had gone. Opening the door, he motioned for her to enter and he thanked that same assistant for the waters she had placed out onto the table. "Have a seat, Ms. Gong." Excusing the assistant, he took a seat across the table where a file sat. Opening it up, he skimmed through it, "So...you want to be an interior designer?"

"Yes I do," she replied as she watched him browse through her resume that he had put together for her.

"Alright, tell me a little about yourself. Why do you want to work here?"

"Honestly...someone told me it was time to make use of the piece of paper that I worked years for," she grinned at how Bobby had become a mentor to her.

He nodded as he closed the file, "You have a great resume and whoever told you that must be a very smart and handsome fellow."

She chuckled as she nodded, "I'll let him know."

Bobby sighed as he clasped his hands together, "Ms. Gong I'd like to offer you a position here but it'll be part time. It'll be like a probational trial to see if we should hire you full time. How does that sound?"

"I'll take it" she grinned.

"So eager, I like the attitude. Well, I'd like to be the first to welcome you onto the team," he stood and came around to extend his hand out to her.

"Thank you," Minzy smiled brightly as she shook his hand.

"Great, can I take you out to lunch? I would like to show you something," he smiled brightly.

She laughed as she nodded, "Sure, as my boss or..."

"Or..." he said making them both laugh.

The ride was short, only a few blocks from work as Bobby came to a stop at an old run down building. It was kind of charming, she thought as she hopped out of the car and realized it looked like an old dance studio of some sort. Walking towards the glass, she could see that the hardwood floors seemed intact. Impressed, she looked over to Bobby who came to stand by her. "Should we go take a look inside," he asked as he dangled the keys up at her.

"Sure," she smiled as she followed suit. The door was a bit rusted, but after a few jiggles to the knob, Bobby was able to pop the door open. It was a decent sized studio with floor to ceiling mirrors covering half of it.

"Come check this out," Bobby called to her as he walked down a small hallway. Flicking on the lights, he walked up the stairs and used the keys to open the door to reveal a charming open floor studio. The walls were red bare brick and the flooring was hardwood to match the ones down in the dance studio, with it's own kitchen and as she ventured around she found a bathroom. All of it was just perfect as she glanced over at Bobby who gave her an expectant look, "What do you think? Do you like it?"

"Yeah, I love it. Is this one of your projects," she smiled as she subconsciously thought of how she could make something of this studio.

"No, it's your project if you'll have it. I bought this place for you as an advance for..." his words were silenced as she came rushing over to jump into his arms. Chuckling as he held her in his arms, he could feel how she was trembling, "Don't cry, you deserve this. I know just how talented you are as an interior designer. You're an investment..."

"Shut up Bobby," she breathed as she embraced him tighter. "Stop talking so much and let me thank you." Pulling away, she cupped his handsome face in her hands and smiled up at him. "Thank you, from the bottom of my heart thank you." Smiling as the tears of gratitude fell from her eyes, she pulled him in for another big hug.
