Yongsun laid on her bed, her mind was filled with what Byulyi said to her, the uneasiness on her face, the smile on her face, when she turned 45 degrees to face Yongsun, when Byulyi mentioned to how she met Yongsun for the first time, when her face showed signs of a perplexed state. Yongsun felt as though something popped out in her heart suddenly upon these thoughts, something unfamiliar yet solid, that something lies somewhere around where her heart was beating, Yongsun doesn’t know what to do with that something, it took her quite some time before she drifted off to sleep.

The next morning while brushing her teeth, Yongsun woke up with an obvious heavy dark eye bags, was it due to insufficient sleep, or was she getting older? With the toothbrush inside , she sighed heavily.

In the mirror, she sees Yonghye in with her messy black long hair covering her face, like a sadako appearing right behind her, Yongsun almost choked on the toothpaste in before she turned around and shouted at Yonghye. “What the heck Kim Yonghye!”

“Unnie, the HR called yesterday, said that they decided to transfer me to another branch. I’ll be joining their finance department there.” Yonghye said it in a monotone, obviously unhappy.

“Where?” Yongsun said whilst continuing brushing her teeth.

“Bucheon…”

“Did they state the reason why?”

“They said they were missing a manager there, thus the finance department here recommended me to go over.”

“Doesn’t that mean you’re being promoted?” Yongsun took her cleanser and started scrubbing her face, thinking quietly in her heart: Moon Byulyi is fast.

“Yeah.” Yonghye doesn’t sound happy at all.

“What’s your opinion on it?”

“I don’t know… Unnie, do you think they purposely made this arrangement?”

“They? Who is the they?”

Yonghye looked away, she doesn’t answer Yongsun’s question. Yongsun is not used to seeing an unconfident Yonghye, word by word, she said to Yonghye. “Yonghye, listen, regardless of whether you are still working in this company or not, you are just someone – unrelated- to – Moon – Byulyi.”

Yonghye leaves the bathroom and returns to her room.

She sits in front of her dressing table and starts to put on her skincare. As she slowly pats her face with her essence, she suddenly felt that she was utilizing immediately what she learnt last night, “unrelated” – that’s right. That was who she was, she was just someone unrelated to Moon Byulyi, today she too used the same word that Moon Byulyi told her to remind Yonghye as well, she had to remind herself and her sister to know their own position at all times.

9 am sharp, Yongsun reached her company. Eric came over to her and passed her her rainbow tote bag, “You forgetful squirtle.”

Yongsun took over the tote bag, checked the items in the bag. “Who sent this?”

“A young, y, fatal-looking, perfect thighs, not that tall, slightly tanned woman.” – Ahn Hyejin, that’s right, it couldn’t have been Moon Byulyi that came in person.

“Were you checking her out instead?” Yongsun questioned.

“Of course I was checking… to see if she’s someone trustworthy!” Eric defended himself.

The tote bag arrived, Yonghye is being transferred, indeed there wasn’t anymore reason for Yongsun and Byulyi to meet again.

Reaching her workspace, Yongsun took out the script in her tote bag, she was about to read through her script for today before she finds a sticky note on the cover page, it was a number, followed by a name – Jung PD.

There were no other words on the sticky note, at the sign off it was only 2 initials – M.B.

Byulyi did what she could for Yongsun, yet it felt even more distanced between the both of them. Thinking about the moments when she saw Byulyi’s smile last night, Yongsun can’t help feeling a sense of loss.

“Who’s MB?” A sudden voice came beside Yongsun’s ear.

Yongsun snaps out of her thoughts, finding Eric just right beside her face, staring at the sticky note.

Yongsun pushed Eric’s face further away from her face, she pretends to be calm before taking out another sticky note from her drawer. She copied down Jung PD’s number from the sticky note and passed it to Eric. “Just a friend whom introduce me to a film producer. Oppa, please contact this number and send him my works. He’s Jung PD.”

“Holy ? Jung PD? The PD who always sweeps all the major awards for the films he produced? How did you manage to know him? Who’s the person who introduced you? Introduce me to him! As your manager I should know!” Eric exclaimed.

“I might not even get an audition role, I’d better not to anything stupid now, especially since you’re my manager.” Yongsun waved her hands, trying to shoo off Eric.

“Aww come on, for someone to just introduce you to Jung PD must be someone of a big shot. I believe Jung PD would offer you at least a supporting role on account of that person. Otherwise just let me know who introduced you, I can do the rest myself.”

Yongsun got up from her seat and starting pushing Eric out of her room. “Excuse me dear manager, I have a shoot in two hours’ time. Please get out right now otherwise I’m going to complain to our CEO!”

Once Yongsun managed to push him out of the door, she tried to close it but Eric’s hand blocked the door, with a serious tone and face he asked. “Yongsun, are you alright these few days?”

“And why wouldn’t I be?” Yongsun denied immediately.

“You don’t look as focused as before, is everything alright back at home? Your mother, is she fine? Hyunsik is not bothering you is he?” Eric thought of every possibility that Yongsun could have. Yongsun was grateful towards Eric, even though he was most of the time annoying, he would appear to be reliable at times as her manager, showing her concerns, sometimes.

“Yongsun, if ever anything happens, don’t forget, I’m always by your side.” Yes, showing her concern, sometimes. Most of the times it ends up like this.

“YAH OPPA. STOP DISGUSTING ME OUT. GET OUT.”

“I’m hurt, ouch. Why won’t you believe me?” Eric faked a heart pain, almost kneeling onto the floor.

“And this is why you can’t be an actor. Get out.” Yongsun rolled her eyes.

Eric stood up immediately, glanced a look at Yongsun. “Humph. Taxi will be here at 10am sharp, don’t be late.”

“Oh yes Oppa, the trainee Jung Wheein? Could you check up on her? I think she might be facing some troubles or having some issues.” Yongsun suddenly remembers about Wheein.

“Jung Wheein? She just took a long leave of absence, she said that she needs to focus on her upcoming school exams for now.” Eric replied.

“Ah, that’s might be why she doesn’t look well. Ok thanks, bye.”

Yongsun returned to her table, she looks at the sticky note from Byulyi once again, then carefully placed it in her drawer, then she locked it.

The days passed by normally each day.

Yonghye decided to go work in Bucheon, she would stay in the company hostel in Bucheon during weekdays and return home on weekends. On Yonghye’s table, Moon Byulyi’s blur cutout magazine photo also disappeared.

Eric managed to contact the number that Yongsun gave him, Jung PD informed Eric that he would like to meet up with Yongsun to have coffee together. Jung PD met up with Yongsun, he even called the director and scriptwriter that he’s going to work together for the next film to join them for coffee. Yongsun had a great time with them, they had many similar thoughts whilst discussing about the genres and styles of films they liked.

Yongsun still plays badminton whenever she is free, she also goes back to the small restaurant that serves marvelous internal organs soup once in awhile, she also went to Moon Sik Dang to celebrate the wrap of her recent drama production with the casts and production team once. However, Yongsun has never seen Moon Byulyi. Only once, Yongsun wrapped up shooting for that day and she was nearby the Moon Group’s company, Byulyi’s car passed by Yongsun, the car plate was MB 22, black Ferrari, as usual it was being followed by another 2 cars at the back.

A month later, Yongsun received a call from Jung PD. She was being offered a supporting role in his next upcoming film, Jung PD informed her that the director and scriptwriter really liked her and thought that the role would suit her. He informed Yongsun that they will send over the script once it’s being finalized. Yongsun continuously thanked Jung PD over the phone.

“Thank you so much Jung PD for giving me this chance!”

“Ah, Yongsun-ah, you don’t have to. I should be thanking you for accepting this role instead, and also Miss Moon.”
