A gloomy morning, the cold and dry wind blows harshly, the winter season is finally here.

Yongsun entered her studio space, realizing Eric was sitting on her sofa, waiting for her.

“Eric-ssi, may I know the reason for your presence at this early hour? More good news to share?”

Eric remained silent, he crossed his hands infront of his chest and looked at Yongsun deeply, scanning her from head to toe.

Yongsun sat down on her chair, picked out some scripts from the table, switched on her computer and sipped a sip of coffee that Wheein had prepared for her on the table. She then turned back to look at Eric again, he was still in the same position, not moving an inch. “What’s wrong with you? Continue staring at me and I’m going to have to charge you for it.”

Eric got up from the sofa and moved towards Yongsun’s table, he kneeled down and leaned his head on the table looking up at Yongsun. “When did it started?”

“What when did it started?” Yongsun was confused.

“You and Moon Byulyi?”

“What the! When did I started anything with her?” Yongsun denied, but she was feeling guilty.

“When I returned home last night, the more I think about it the more it doesn’t feel right. There must be something going on between you and Moon Byulyi. Including way earlier on when you asked me to enquire about her, and the note which included Jung PD’s number with an initial M.B, also that time when she got me out from my illegal car she offered to send you back to Seoul first in her car, and also this time the Moon Group decided to work with our company, everything seemed so easy. No matter how I think it through, the most logical reasoning I could come up is, you and her, it’s not as simple as you said to be.” Eric was beginning to dig out the roots to everything that happened so far.

“Not simple? Then how complicated do you want it to be? Tell me about it.” Yongsun pretended to be calm.

“How am I supposed to know that, that’s why I’m curious! Why not you tell me what happened between the both of you when Moon Byulyi came by last week, and the both of you were in this room, alone?”

“We’re discussing about the creation of the new line with Lee Corporation.”

“Do you have to shut the door if it’s about that?”

“If the door isn’t shut, our company staffs would be ogling at her throughout. How do you expect us to discuss whatever we were supposed to discuss?”

“It’s not an act that both of you are putting up, right?”

“Seriously Eric Nam-ssi, if you’re so free go find something else to do. Clean the toilet, empty the dustbins, just don’t watch anymore dramas because you’re creating a drama right now. Get out please.” Yongsun ordered Eric out of her room.

“Yongsun, I’m just trying to show some concern here.” Eric suddenly used a concern tone with Yongsun. “People who are rich are all the same. It’s not like you didn’t withstand the storms either, you should understand what’s a fire pit and what’s a trap. Don’t do anything stupid, one Park Hyunsik is enough for you to tolerate.”

Slamming the script on the table, Yongsun glared angrily at Eric. “What’s the meaning of that? Who’s going to do something stupid?”

Seeing how worked up Yongsun is, Eric quickly tries to appease her. “No no, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m just saying this from an opposite attraction point of view. Anyone that’s attracted to you, I believe we can see each other’s thoughts. Moon Byulyi was so happy last night, she even did a love shot with you!” Eric emphasized on the word “love shot”.  

“Speaking of that, who was the one that also joined in the fun of inciting that love shot? And to think you’re using that incident against me right now?” Yongsun shouted at Eric.

“I wouldn’t dare! Joining in the fun it was my fault I agree, I’m just someone who likes to create some trouble when I drink, it’s not like you don’t know? But who is Moon Byulyi, shes’s the VP of the Moon Group, she’s still someone with a decent status, to think she’d actually join in the love shot game with you. Isn’t she afraid of any rumors that might come after? It’s like she did it on purpose, or with a motive, you really have to be careful of her. I know she’s a great person, but I’m afraid with such a nice behavior or actions from her you might not be able to differentiate what’s right and what’s wrong… when the time comes…” Eric stopped saying anything, as though he had already thought about what might happened in the future.

It wasn’t that what Eric said was entirely wrong, Yongsun was already feeling awkward from the whole situation that happened last night. She couldn’t really refute what Eric was saying, to cover up for her speechless, she doubled up her frustration on her face. Sensing the anger in Yongsun, Eric quickly raised his hands up in surrender, backing towards the door. Before he left, Eric threw in another sentence. “Oh yeah. And about Park Hyunsik? It’s not that I’m not brothers with him, but he’s also another jerk, be careful of him too!”

Yongsun quickly got up from her seat and chased behind Eric, slamming the door shut after he leaves the room.

Sinking into her sofa, Yongsun pondered deeply about all the incidents that happened between her and Byulyi. A sudden realization hit her, it’s true in a sense in which the things that happened doesn’t seemed as simple as what she made out to be. Between her and Byulyi, Byulyi and her, in the public’s view, there’s already multiple topics about them, yet the topics somehow would eventually cease to nothing, thus Yongsun would always never take it to heart.

Yongsun wondered if she could claim herself as totally innocent. It’s not like she had never had any vanity and greed, she did lust after Byulyi’s wealth and her visual appearance before, she did wanted to maintain this small relationship that the both of them had secretly, she wanted to become a shadow within Byulyi that she could not erase.

Thinking of the past recent events, Yongsun shivered for a moment, it’s time to end the game, she thought silently. Earning money in peace whilst with the Moon Group? Dream on maybe.

She starts to have a thought which she never had before: Leaving RBW.

A phone call snaps Yongsun out of her thoughts, it was an unknown number.

“Is this Kim Yongsun-ssi?” A firm and manly tone asked.

“Yes, may I know who is this?”

“I’m calling from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, are you the guardian of Jung Wheein?”

Wheein’s parents are back in Jeonju, thus it would make sense that Wheein would claim someone from her company as her guardian. What Yongsun didn’t expect was the Wheein would claim her as her guardian instead of CEO Kim.

“Er, yes, I guess so?” Yongsun stated in an unsure tone.

“You guess so? Jung Wheein is now being held captive here for attempting to sabotage and defamation. She’s being sued right now by the other party’s lawyer. So would you be able to make a trip down here as her guardian?”

Grabbing her bag, Yongsun ran out of her room and hailed a taxi quickly. Before that she managed to inform Eric to ask him to get hold of CEO Kim of this matter.

As soon as she reached station, she managed to find her way to Wheein whom was being held in a room. Upon seeing Yongsun, Wheein broke into tears, hugging her tightly. “Unnie, save me, I don’t want to stay here.” Yongsun embraced Wheein tightly, comforting her by patting her head softly.

After settling down, Yongsun carefully looked at Wheein whom was still sobbing.

“Wheein-ah, what happened?” Yongsun asked in the gentlest tone that she could.

“…. I don’t know… I was just out grabbing breakfast for you… while I was heading back to the office I was stopped by two officers. They told me I’m being arrested for sabotage and defamation, and here I am.” Wheein then burst into tears once again.

Yongsun quickly got up and move towards Wheein’s side at pat her shoulders, Wheein then hugged onto Yongsun and cries in her embrace. Just then, an officer came in with a folder in his hand.

Nodding at the sight, he gestured for Yongsun to sit back down.

“I’m Officer Ryu, in charge of this case. It appears that the other party is suing Miss Jung here for causing their losses.”

Both Yongsun and Wheein is confuse, they stared blankly at Officer Ryu.

Massaging his neck, he sighed before settling down on a chair next to Yongsun.

“Couple months ago, Miss Jung you’re involved in a suicide case, are you not?”

Wheein nods her head.

“Yes, that building you were trying to attempt suicide on, the developer of that building is accusing Miss Jung of causing a loss to their profits due to the attempted suicide. Thus they’re requesting a sum of money to be paid to them, otherwise, they’ll see you in court.”

“Developer? Isn’t that the Moon Group?” Yongsun asked.

“No, the Moon Group is the contractor. Thus they’re not involved in this.” Officer Ryu explained.

“But how would the developer know that they have a loss? This incident wasn’t even make known to the public. Are they just trying to fish something out of nothing?” Yongsun was getting agitated.

“Calm down lady. You can’t deny that the incident was in public, even if the Moon Group manages to seal off the media, words would spread too. You can’t stop people from talking about it.”

Leaning back against her chair, Yongsun pondered for awhile. “So, what is it that they want? And how worse can this go?”

“They’re asking for a compensation of 500 million won, the worst it could go is… Miss Jung ending up in jail?”

“500 MILLION. Is this a daylight robbery? Look, even if I rob a bank now I don’t even think they have that much cash in it. Look at her, how old is she. Does she even have 10k won to begin with?”

“As a matter of fact unnie I do have 10k won, you’re looking way too down on me.” Wheein spat out.

“I’m just using that as a comparison, and are you sure you’re in a position to be refuting back?” Yongsun gave a stare at Wheein.

“I’m not!” Tears came forth once again as Wheein leaned her head against the table.  

Shaking her head, Yongsun looks at Officer Ryu whose face was in amusement by Wheein’s antics.

“Sorry about her behavior. May I know when will Wheein be released?”

“Oh.” Officer Ryu snaps out of his staring at Wheein. “She can go home after 24 hours, but for now you’ll have to decide if you’re going to compensate the developer or go to court with them.”

After promising Wheein she’ll be here to pick her up after 24 hours, Yongsun stands at the entrance sighing. She took out her phone and dialed a number.

“Appa.” Yongsun started off with a dead low tone.

“Yongsun-ah, how is it? Sorry I’m currently out of the country, I’ll be back tomorrow morning.”

“It’s fine, we can get Wheein out after 24 hours. But we have to decide if we’re going to compensate them or not.”

“It’s not a small figure Yongsun… Even if we go to court with them, we might not be able to win” Yongsun could hear the deliberation in CEO Kim’s tone.
