“Hi.”

“What?” Tiffany asked as she calmly sipped her latte.

“What do you mean by what?” Taeyeon shifted and propped her chin on her palm.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Looking at you like you’re the most beautiful thing in this cruel world?” 

Tiffany bit her tongue and crinkled her nose instead of saying something in return.

“I’m such a romantic.” She said dreamily as she kept her gaze on the brunette.

“More like creepy, romantic, Tae.”

“Your creepy, romantic.” She winked teasingly.

“God, Tae. Stop it.” Tiffany shoved her shoulder weakly to hide her pink cheeks.

Taeyeon chuckled at the shyness and grabbed her hand. “I love you, beautiful.” She leaned across the table and kissed her on the cheek.

“I hate it when you pull that on me.” 

“Why?”

“Because I’m supposed to be annoyed. But you’re being sweet and all.” Tiffany looked at their entwined hands on the table and let out a silly smile. “You know…” She giggled when she saw her looking at her in a daze.

“What is it?”

“You’re the cutest, Tae. And the sweetest girlfriend I had.” 

Taeyeon snickered which earned her a slap on her hand. “But I’m your one and only girlfriend.”

Tiffany rolled her eyes at the cheeky grin. “You know what I mean.” She slapped her hand again when her girlfriend chuckled.

“Okay, okay. I was just teasing. No need to get mad at me.” Silence took over as they quietly sipped their drinks. They would steal glances at each other and giggle every time they we would get caught. “Fany-ah.”

“Hm?”

“You said you never dated girls before.” Taeyeon tilted her head to the side as she observed Tiffany. “How come you agreed to go out with me?” Her girlfriend averted her eyes for a second which made her confuse. “What is it?”

Tiffany sighed and placed her other hand on Taeyeon’s. “To be honest…”

“Hm?”

“I was just curious.”

“Curious?”

“Yeah. You know… I’ve been seeing cute couples in campus and wonder how it would feel like.” She looked up and saw Taeyeon staring at her with wide eyes.

“So it was sort of like an experiment…?” Taeyeon asked carefully.

“I guess so? But…”

“What?”

“Are you mad?” She asked quietly when the gleam in Taeyeon’s eyes faded.

“I actually don’t know what to feel right now.”

“I’m sorry, Tae.” 

“Why are you apologizing?”

“Because I feel like…” She furrowed her brows to think. “I wasn’t playing with your feelings, you know.”

“Hm.”

“I wasn’t! I swear!” She held the hand tightly. “I…”

“You what?”

“I had a crush on you the moment I saw you in that café, though…” Tiffany said after a moment of silence.

Taeyeon chuckled as she felt silly for feeling too giddy after the confession. “Okay, I can forgive you now.” She grinned and patted the girl’s hand lightly.

“I didn’t regret going out with you also.” Tiffany smiled shyly.

“That’s good to know. I’m feeling relieved now.” 

“Huh?”

“There’s this nagging feeling in me every time I see you. I feel uneasy because I feel like I forced you to be my girlfriend or something.” Taeyeon shrugged nonchalantly. “To be honest, I knew you were straight. And I don’t ask straight girls. That’s not my thing.” She laughed awkwardly. “But… I don’t know…? There was a part in me that hoped you swing my way.”

“How did you know I’m straight?”

“People have this… vibes… or feels… I can just tell.” 

Tiffany looked at her in confusion. “You’re really weird, Tae.”

Taeyeon waved the comment dismissively. “So… I turned you gay, huh?” She wiggled her brows playfully.

Tiffany laughed at the playful tone. “Um… Sure…? I’m only gay for you, though.” She snickered.

“Awwww, come here beautiful.” She tugged at her hand gently and waited until Tiffany moved around the table. “Sit.” She patted her lap and the brunette sat down obediently. Her arms went around her waist to pull her closer.

“Tae?”

“Hm?”

“I wanna tell you a secret.” 

“What is it?”

Tiffany scooted closer and leaned in to her ear. “I think…” Taeyeon only nodded so she continued. “I think you’re the one for me…”
