Chapter 8: Talk of the town

“Don’t tell me I need to ride with you in that thing?” You looked at Youngmin, who was standing behind you.

“Well, I forgot to show you the way to school yesterday, so you have no choice but to ride with me? Except if you want to ride with Kwangmin then it’s totally fine with me.” He said.

“Course not. It’s that.. do we really need to ride in the limo? Don’t you think that’s kind of embarrassing and I bet I would be the headlines of the whole school.” You told him.

“Don’t you have anything that’s less showy? Like a bike or a scooter? I can just follow your cars for the way and then when we get there, Taemin would just walk to his school.” You asked but he just told you that he doesn’t have anything like that.

“Is there a bus station near here?” You asked again.

“Yeah there is but it doesn’t go the same way to our school. Just ride my car already, we won’t be using the limo anyway.” He smiled.

You finally agreed and got on to the front seat while Taemin hopped on to the backseat. Youngmin first dropped off your brother then head to your school.

As he parked his car on the parking lot, a lot of girls were already waiting for the twins.

Just as you guys parked, Kwangmin got out of his convertible with his shades on causing the girls to squeal in delight. And too add up on that, he even gave them a smirk just as he left causing them to squeal even louder.

You just rolled your eyes as you saw making a ruckus again. The both of you went out of the car causing them to look at you wide-eyed.

You gulped down as you saw them staring and some were even glaring at you.

“Let’s go.” Youngmin said as he started walking towards the crowd while greeting them good morning as he passed by.

“Yah ~~! You’re so freaking lucky!!! I don’t know how you did it but I’m so jealous of you!!” Chorong said as she grabbed your wrist and shook them.

“How did you do it?” Jung Ah asked.

“The whole school is pretty much buzzing about you! Gosh! I wonder what magic spell you used!” Chorong said.

“Guys, I need to tell you something but please don’t tell anyone. Keep it a secret please?” You asked as you looked at them in the eyes and they nodded their heads.

“I’m living with the Jo twins..” You told them.

“What?!?” Both of them shouted and you quickly hushed them.

“You have got to be kidding me!! You’re lying!” Chorong said.

“You mean, you and them under one roof? Is that it? Is that it?” Jung Ah asked.

“Woah guys, chill! And yes. Guys stop overreacting.” You sighed as you saw the two hyperventilating.

“Don’t overreact? You’re like the luckiest girl on earth for goodness sake!” Jung Ah said.

“Promise me you’re not going to tell anyone?” You asked again and they nodded their heads.

“Hey girls! What are you guys talking about again?” Hyunseong suddenly popped out of nowhere and gave his girlfriend a kiss on the cheek.

The two just barfed at the scene and rolled their eyes.

“Please go away. Your lovey dovey is just way too much to handle.” Jung Ah told them and shooed them away.

“Even though I want to drag my girl out of here, I can’t. I have basketball practice.” He said sadly. “By the way, you’re the talk of the school ~~! Congrats!”

You just sighed, “I know.”

As you entered your classroom, you could feel everyone’s eyes turned to you. All of the girls glared at you while the boys just looked and went back on talking with their friends.

Their eyes followed you as you walked towards your seat. You bit your bottom lip and sat down on your chair. But as you sat down, you quickly stood up because you felt something wet. You turned around to find your chair wet and the whole class started laughing.

You looked down, embarrassed to show your face.

Youngmin went inside the classroom, his classmates were laughing out loud. He saw you standing there while looking down at the floor. He saw your classmates pointing at you while laughing and he then realized that they were laughing at you. He quickly went next to you and saw that your chair is wet. He then saw that the back of your skirt is also wet. He quickly removed his coat and tied it around your waist.

“Who dare do this to her?” He asked as he glared at them causing them to stop laughing. “You guys are all dead if you try to do something like this to her again.”

He grabbed your wrist and dragged you out of the room.

“Yah, where are we going? Class is about to start.” You told him.

“Shouldn’t you go change first? You’re going to get sick if you continue wearing your soaked uniform.” He stopped and looked at you.

“But I didn’t bring any extra clothes with me.”

“Don’t worry, I have some in my locker.” He smiled at you.

 He went to his locker, grabbed his gym clothes out and went back to where you were.

“But aren’t those your gym clothes for later? Don’t you have class later?” You asked him.

“I don’t feel like running some laps today.” He excused.

You changed into his gym clothes that fitted you perfectly. Well except for the fact that it’s long on you but you managed to pull the pants up in a swag style. You went back to class with Youngmin and the teacher was already there, both of you apologized for being late and went to your seats. The whole class stared at the both of you. But you didn’t mind their stares because you were too preoccupied at the moment.

You were really thankful for what Youngmin did. He helped you and even protected you from your classmates. No one’s ever done something like that to you before and you couldn’t help but feel touched by his actions.

You snuggled onto your arms and inhaled the scent of his sweater. You couldn’t help but smile.
