~ Author's POV ~

Taking a seat beside Nicole, Sungyeol pulled out the empty chair placed on her right side while Woohyun sat next to Myungsoo. Nicole nervously smiled at her friends, not knowing what she should say, feeling the heavy atmosphere creeping up on her.

    “So,” Nicole broke the silence, “how was class?”

    Placing his arms on the wooden table, Sungyeol turned his head to face towards her, “It was alright, I guess.”

    “The teacher kept on making us to practice our crying,” Woohyun groaned.

Nicole laughed as Sungyeol nodded as he placed to fingers on the corner of his eyes, like he was crying. Myungsoo just smirked and moved his attention on the menu in front of him. Noticing that, Nicole nodded to herself and opened her menu back up.

    “So do you guys know what you’re ordering?” Nicole asked, as she stared at the menu before her.

    “Aniyo,” Sungyeol shook his head. “It’s my first time coming here, Woohyun is the one who told me to come here and try it out.”

    Woohyun smiled, “Don’t worry Hyung, the food here is great!”

    “Yeah,” Myungsoo agreed quietly, but still loud enough for the three to hear.

    Nicole giggled as she stared Sungyeol, “Then I guess you’re new to this restaurant.”

    Lightly pinching her cheek, he grinned, “Yah, you are looking at the menu also! Don’t make me a loner.”

She pulled his hand off with a small smile which turned into a playful pout, while Woohyun just laughed at them. Myungsoo continued to stare at his menu, covering his jealous face. Looking around for a menu, she realized the waitress only gave two. Biting her lip, she looked at Woohyun and Sungyeol with an unsure expression.

    “Bwoh?” Woohyun noticed her nervousness. “Is something wrong?”

    “Umm,” Nicole scratched her ear. “We don’t have enough menus.”

    Woohyun assured her, “Don’t worry I know what I want since I usually come here.”

    Pulling her menu closer towards him, Sungyeol playfully bumped his shoulder with hers, “I guess I need to share with you then.”

Hearing that, Myungsoo automatically closed his menu and gave it to Sungyeol, who was surprised by his sudden action. Woohyun and Nicole were also, as they stared at Myungsoo, who had a stern face.

    “You could use mine,” Myungsoo tried to coolly say. “I already know what I’m going to get.”

Slowly taking it from his hand, Sungyeol slowly nodded his head and thanked him. Opening the menu up, Sungyeol placed Nicole’s menu in front of her instead of it being in the middle of them. The atmosphere became awkward as the silence became louder, with the sound of the menu pages turning and the other customers in the restaurant.

    “So Sungyeol Oppa,” Nicole broke the silence, “did you decide what you want yet?”

Nodding his head, he closed the menu in front of him, so did Nicole. Woohyun called a waiter over to take their orders. After ordering their drinks and dinner, the four had a few conversations here and there but there would sometimes be an awkward silence in the table. Pushing her chair our, Nicole stood up and excused herself to the restroom. Leaving Woohyun, Myungsoo, and Sungyeol alone, the three watched Nicole disappear into the restroom and adjusted their eyes at each other. Staring at each other awkwardly, Woohyun fidgeted with the end of his jacket.

    “You two like Cori right?” Sungyeol bluntly asked.

He was always the type that would say whatever he thought, not caring even if the truth could be sometimes ugly. That’s one of the things Nicole liked about him. She liked honest guys, who always told the truth even if it seems rude. She always liked honesty, especially if it’s something she’s bad at. She took always took his honesty as things she must work on rather than taking it personally, like most people would.

Surprised by his sudden question, Woohyun and Myungsoo awkwardly stared at each other with a tint of red on their cheeks.

    Sungyeol couldn’t help but laugh at their reaction, “You guys make it too obvious.”

    Myungsoo scoffed as he turned his attention to Sungyeol, “You also make it obvious.”

    “Y-yeah,” Woohyun agreed; noticing it also.

He first thought it was because the two were close but he noticed Sungyeol’s small actions/hints towards her, especially Myungsoo’s. Being friends with Sungyeol and Myungsoo, Woohyun tried to ignore it, not wanting to become enemies with his friends.

    “Good,” Sungyeol smiled. “I just want it to come across you two that I am also going for her, so don’t get your hopes up too much.”

    Myungsoo raised a brow, “What do you mean?”

    Crossing his arms in front of his chest, he smirked, “I think the three of us know that I’m much closer to Nicole out of the three of us.”

    “Just because you were her boyfriend, doesn’t mean you will have the higher chance,” Myungsoo glared at him.

    “Bwoh?!” Woohyun pointed at Sungyeol with a surprised expression. “You are Nicole’s ex-boyfriend?”

    Lightly laughing, Sungyeol nodded his head, “I know, but I still know how much more about Nicole then you two combined.”

    Smirking, Myungsoo placed his arms on top of the table, “Prove it?”

    Slightly amused, Sungyeol grinned, “Ask away.”

    “Her favorite color?” Woohyun asked.

     “Orange.”

    “Favorite ice cream flavor?” he asked again.

    “Chocolate,” Sungyeol swiftly replied.

    Thinking of a hard question, Myungsoo smirked, “How much does she weigh?”

    Smiling, Sungyeol replied, “48 kg.”

    “What or who is 48 kg?”

The three quickly turned their heads to where the voice came from and spotted Nicole coming towards them, trying to think of a fake answer to tell her, the three looked at each nervously.

    “Oh we were bored and decided to guess each other’s weight,” Myungsoo lied. “We thought Gyuri is 48 kg.”

Pulling her seat out, she sat back down as she nodded.

    “And we thought you were 59 kg,” Woohyun teased.

    “Yah!” Nicole pouted, receiving laughs from the three boys.

The three boys laughed and soon their drinks and meals came. Digging in, there was silence again, only the sound of chopsticks hitting the plate and the ice hitting their glasses when they took a sip from their drink. After 15 minutes passed, the four rubbed their stomach in pleasure. They had to admit, the food tasted great. Calling the check, the waitress gave Myungsoo the black, small check book. With the receipt inside, Nicole snatched it to see how much she had to pay. Taking out her wallet out of her pocket first, she was stopped by a sudden unison.

    “Hajima, I’ll pay for it!” Myungsoo, Sungyeol, and Woohyun said in sync as they gestured her.

Looking at each other, they threw each other secret glares as Nicole stared at them in bewilderment.

    Shaking her head, Nicole smiled, “Its ok, I’ll pay for myself. Thanks for the offer though.”

Pulling out 11,000 KRW*, Sungyeol pushed it back into her wallet with an unapproved expression.

    Taking out 49,000 KRW*, Sungyeol placed it on the check book, “I’ll pay for all of us. It’s my treat.”

Nicole’s eyes widened in astonishment, couldn’t believe how kind he was. While Woohyun and Myungsoo caught on what he was trying to do, secretly gritting their teeth. Myungsoo pushed Sungyeol’s back in front of him and placed the same amount of money on top of it.

    “It’s ok, I should pay for it,” Myungsoo smirked.

    Shaking his head, Woohyun disagreed, “No, let me pay for it.”

Nicole watched the three argue back and forth making her feel amused and impressed. This was her first time seeing people fight over the bill, she only saw it in movies and TV shows and to her, this was just funny. But the three showed how kind and courteous they are, making her feel a little impressed by their actions. Watching them semi yell at each other for a few minutes, Nicole couldn’t take it anymore. Grabbing the small check book, she placed 49,000 KRW and took it to the cashier before the three could stop her. Noticing her leaving the table, they watched as she took the checkbook to the cashier, not knowing what she was doing until they saw the money being taken out of the checkbook. The three quickly got out of their seats and rushed towards her, but they were a moment too late as the cashier just gave her the change. Placing it inside her wallet, she jumped a bit when the three grabbed her shoulder.

    “What are you doing?!” the three yelled in unison.

Looking at them, their eyes looked upset but Nicole couldn’t help but laugh. Her sweet laugh filled their ears as their cheeks turned a bit pink.

    Sungyeol stomped his foot cutely, “Yah, this isn’t the time to be laughing.”

    Trying to surpass her laugh, she giggled, “But the three of you were just too funny and cute.”

    Woohyun pouted, “That doesn’t matter. You paid for us while we were supposed to pay for you.”

    “Don’t worry about it,” Nicole assured. “I need to pay you guys back since I owe the three of you. Also, you guys were arguing way to long.”

    Lightly hitting her head, Sungyeol puffed out his cheeks, “Next time you better let us pay.”

Myungsoo and Woohyun agreed, making Nicole giggle. They went back to their table and grabbed their stuff before heading back out. The cold breeze hit Cole’s skin, making her to shiver a bit. Myungsoo and Sungyeol didn’t notice it, since they were too busy admiring the clear sky with the full moon shined brightly. Feeling something warm wrapped over her, she looked her shoulders to find a dark grey jacket over her.

    “Woohyun,” Nicole pulled the jacket and held it in front of him, “I’m fine. You could use it.”

Shaking his head, Woohyun gestured her to use it. He was still warm since he was wearing three layers, while Nicole was just wearing 2 layers and shorts. Myungsoo and Sungyeol looked at the two, unaware of what’s going on.

    “I don’t want you to get a cold,” Woohyun warmly smiled.

Nicole wanted to tell him it was fine but he did have a point. She stayed quiet and finally gave in. Placing her arms into the jacket selves, her arms were a bit too short to reach the end. Zipping it up, the three boys laughed at how cute it looked on her. It was definitely too big for her but it made her look more innocent and lovely. Blushing, Nicole pouted.

    “Bwoh, do I look weird?”

    Waving his hand, Myungsoo smiled, “Aniyo.”

    “You look cute,” Sungyeol pinched her cheeks, receiving a light punch in the chest in return.

The three walked down the streets as they talked about school and the upcoming field trip that the boy’s school is going too. Finally reaching the girl’s dorm rooms, the males dropped Nicole off, receiving Woohyun’s jacket back, and bid their goodbyes. Walking into the girl’s dorm room, she reached Gyuri’s room and knocked on the door. Opening the door, Gyuri gestured her to come in and threw her a loose t shirt and jeans. Nicole pulled out her extensions and pulled on the clothes over her body. Gyuri opened her window and Nicole jumped out, before thanking her and a big hug. Rushing out of the girl’s dorm room, she walked over to the boy’s dorm room before she could get caught by anyone. Reaching her room, she walked in and took a shower before going to sleep after the long day.

Woohyun dropped off his stuff on his bed and smiled to himself.

    “What’s with the creepy smile?” Minhwan teased as he played his game.

    Sitting on his bed, Woohyun stopped smiling and blushed, “Nothing, it’s just that I was thinking of something.”

    “Well it must be great since you seemed like you were high on something,” his roommate chuckled.

    “Shut up,” he laughed along as he flattened out his dark grey jacket.

He pictured Nicole in his jacket again, trying to surpass his giggle. Lying on his bed, he started to think of ways how to capture her heart. Sungyeol was definitely 1^st in best relationship with Nicole while Myungsoo came 2^nd, leaving him with less chances of capturing her heart. He didn’t know what she looked in for a man or her favorite things. To be tell the truth, he didn’t know anything about her really. The only things he knew was that Nicole was that she was nice, courteous, cute, funny, dorky, and step sister of Kevin. Shooting straight up from his bed, it hit him.

    “I’ll be back!” he rushed out of the room, leaving his roommate bewildered.

Rushing down the hallway, he found Kevin’s room and prayed that he was still awake. The door slowly creek open, with Kevin in front of him. His blonde hair was dripping wet, probably just finished showering.

    “U-um,” Woohyun stuttered, “can I talk to you about something?”

Looking at him oddly, Kevin hesitatingly nodded and gestured him to come in.

    “You better hurry since Yoseob might come back pretty soon,” Kevin sat down on his bed and used his small towel that was around his neck to dry his hair.

Walking in, Woohyun closed the door behind him and took a seat on the carpet in the middle of the room. Facing at Kevin, who was waiting for him to talk as he rubbed the towel against his hair.

    Taking a deep breath, Woohyun shut his eyes, “Please tell me about your sister, Nicole!”

Kevin’s hand dropped, leaving the towel still on top of his head, as he stared at Woohyun in disbelief. Narrowing his eyes, Kevin stared, hoping he wasn’t finished.

    Noticing the silence, Woohyun opened back his eyes and played with his fingers as he looked down, “Please, I’m interested in your sister.”

Pulling his small towel off of his head, Kevin’s eyes became serious, replacing the warm pair of eyes you would see.

I finally updated!! OMG, couldn't think I was going to finish today xD Sorry for with such little scenes, I couldn't really think of anything in the end *face palms* I'm going to change my writing a style a little bit because I'm more comfortable writing it in this format. If it seems to bother you please do tell me and I'll change it back. Don't be shy to leave comments or suggestions!
