            Flying from the United States all the way to South Korea is a long flight. Cooped in a plane for over ten hours is torture. But that was what I had to do since I was moving to Korea to spend time with my family over there. I hadn’t seen my family over there in about three years, so it was time to re-connect with them.

            I had just graduated high school and was going to be attending school here in Korea after I got adjusted. But I was more so looking forward to spending time with my cousin who was a member of a new k-pop group, Seventeen. I know I am pretty lucky to be related to someone in Seventeen.

            After I had grabbed suitcase I exited the part of the airport I was in before making my way to the outside area where people were waiting. I scanned the area trying to find my cousin, walking farther away from the door I had walked out of.

            “Skyler over here!” a voice called. I turned my head into the direction of the voice spotting my cousin and his amazingly gorgeous hair. I made my way quickly over to him as he wrapped his arms around me in a tight hug. Have you guessed who my cousin is yet? If you haven’t you will now.

            “Jeonghan!” I exclaimed smiling at him. “Your hair is even better in person!” Jeonghan laughed as I ran my hand through his shoulder-length locks. “It is so good to see you, three years is way too long.”

            “I know,” Jeonghan said nodding. “A lot of stuff has changed in those three years. Like I finally debuted after all that training.” Jeonghan and I regardless of not seeing each other had always been calling each other and messaging each other so I had known about him and Seventeen. I had bought the album the day it was released for pre-order online, not to mention he sent me an autographed version of the album.

            “Hey I’m back!” a new voice called. Jeonghan motioned over to the voice as another boy came up to us. “Here.” He handed each of us a cold bottle of juice. “It’s hot today.”

            “Thanks,” I said, opening the juice taking a big sip of the juice. “You’re one of Jeonghan’s group mates right? Wonwoo correct?”

            “Yes,” Wonwoo said smiling. “Oh my gosh you know my name.” He laughed wrapping his arm around my shoulder. Jeonghan laughed rolling his eyes as Wonwoo continued to gush over me.

            “Okay,” Jeonghan said. “Let’s head out. The van should be outside waiting for us. Let’s go.” He grabbed my suitcase as we left the airport to look for the van that was going to pick us up.

            “Are you a fan of Seventeen?” Wonwoo asked as we stood by the curb waiting for the van.

            “Yeah,” I nodded my head. “Ever since Jeonghan said he was going to be in a music group I’ve been waiting and when you guys finally debuted I learned the rest of your names. Even though it was difficult learning twelve other people’s names.”

            “I bet,” Wonwoo laughed. “Thirteen members is a lot of names to remember to thirteen different faces. Ah there’s the van.” Sure enough a white van pulled over to us, as Jeonghan put my suitcase in the back before joining Wonwoo and I in the backseat of the van.

            “We’re heading to the dorm,” Jeonghan told me. “I figured you’d like to see your surprise which is at the dorm.” Him and Wonwoo exchanged a glance at each other as the van began to make its way from the airport to Seoul. I glanced at both of them wondering what the surprise could be.

            “Now that you’re in Korea what do you want to eat first?” Wonwoo asked looking at me. “We’re going to go out to dinner and eat whatever you want, so what’ll it be?” I smiled thinking of what I wanted to eat. There was so many different Korean dishes that I loved. And it wasn’t like I didn’t eat Korean food at home it was practically all my mom knew how to cook when she wasn’t experimenting with cooking something Mexican or European.

            “Mm,” I said. “That is a tough question. But I guess I would say that I would want to eat BBQ. I love BBQ a lot and I want that to be my first meal here.” Wonwoo nodded smiling.

            “Yes I like you already,” Wonwoo said. “Going right for the meat! BBQ is awesome!” Jeonghan nodded his head. “We’re going to get along great, I can already tell.”

            “We eat a lot of meat,” Jeonghan said. “A majority of us have that as our favorite foods.” We continued to ride before we started entering Seoul. “Welcome to your new home Skyler.” He smiled at me wrapping his arm around my waist.

After a sort of long, traffic filled car ride we finally pulled into the garage of the building that held the Seventeen dorm. We got out of the van as Jeonghan got my suitcase out before we followed the manager inside the building taking the elevator to the correct floor.

            “Here we are,” the manager said. “Welcome to Seventeen’s home.” He smiled at me before he headed off to do whatever he had to do as Jeonghan opened the door to the dorm.

            “Well this is it,” Wonwoo said. We stepped into the dorm, as I looked around the place. It was a pretty cramped place especially for thirteen boys to be living in. I could only imagine what the bedrooms looked like.

            “The place is pretty cramped,” Jeonghan laughed. “But you get used to it. Come on.” He took my hand leaving my suitcase by the door as he took me into the living room area where someone was on his stomach reading a manga book. “Did you not hear the door?”

            “What?” he asked looking up at Jeonghan and I. “Oh sorry!” He jumped to his feet bowing his head to me. “Skyler right? Jeonghan hyung’s cousin.” I nodded my head, looking at him searching through the names. Tall height, good looks, ah that’s right.

            “Mingyu?” I asked looking at him with a hesitant look. “If my memory serves me right, hip hop unit.” Mingyu nodded smiling at me.

            “Spot on,” he said. “You know about us?” I nodded my head explaining how I’d learned everyone’s names and stuff a long time ago. “That is awesome!”

            “Is everyone else home?” Wonwoo asked joining us. “They all need to meet Skyler.”

            “Yeah everyone is in the rooms,” Mingyu said. “Except for me, I was waiting for you guys and kind of didn’t hear the door open. Let’s go to them.” We followed Mingyu down the hallway to the bedrooms. “Jeonghan’s cousin is here!”

            “Finally!” a new voice yelled. Pretty soon all the other Seventeen members were surrounding us.

            “Whoa,” Jeonghan said. “Everyone to the living room. It’s less cramped there.” He led the way to the living room. “This is Skyler, my cousin from California.”

            “Hello, it’s nice to meet all of you,” I said smiling. I looked around at the new faces that I hadn’t met yet putting names to their faces. I took a deep breath because they all looked more like humans in person then they did on my computer screen.

            On the computer screen they looked like flawless teenagers that could be gods as well. Smooth skin, perfect hair, makeup on point, but in person you could see the bed head, and the not so perfect skin on them. It was a lot less nerve racking looking at actual humans then kpop idols.

            “Well should we introduce ourselves?” the short male with pink hair asked looking at Jeonghan. Jeonghan shook his head laughing a little bit.

            “No need,” Jeonghan said. “This one’s been doing his research and is a fan of us. Skyler why don’t you introduce them yourself.” Wonwoo nodded his head smiling at me.

            “Let’s see,” I said. “I’ll start with you.” I looked at the short male with the pink hair. “Pink hair, must be Woozi, leader of the vocal team.” He nodded his head, blinking in amazement. I looked at the male next to him with the long hair and half American features. “Vernon.”

            “What’s up man?” Vernon laughed looking at me. “We can speak English together.”

            “Yes we can,” I answered. “I’d like that.” I looked at the next boy sitting next to him with blonde hair and a cheerful smile on his face. “Hoshi.” He nodded his head smiling more. “And next to you is Jun and then The8.” They both nodded their heads smiling to each other.

“Then Seungkwan one of the vocalists, and next to him is DK.” They nodded their heads saying hello to me. I looked at the next boy. “S.coups.” He nodded his head waving at me. “Mr. Leader.” I looked at the next one who looked a little younger then the rest. “Dino.” He nodded, bowing his head at me. “And lastly.” The last boy looked up at me, smiling a really beautiful smile.

            I blinked my eyes a little bit forgetting how to speak as I looked down at the other male. I felt my cheeks getting hot, looking down at the floor. He cleared his throat as he waited for me to say his name.

            “Skyler,” Jeonghan said whispering in my ear. “You’re acting really weird.” He nudged my side before looking down at the last member.

            “Right sorry,” I said. I shook my head. “Joshua.” I looked away afterwards. “That’s everyone.” I sat down on the ground next to Wonwoo. Joshua tilted his head looking slightly confused at my reaction to him. “I feel tired,” I lied as I buried my face into Wonwoo’s arm groaning.

            “Do you want to lie down?” Wonwoo asked. “Come on.” He picked me up carrying me to his bed in the bedroom. “You can rest here okay?” I nodded mumbling a thank you. “By the way,” he asked standing over me. “What was with your reaction to Joshua hyung?”

            “I don’t know,” I said pulling the covers up to my chin. “I just got a little light headed for some reason.”

            “Is he your favorite or something?” Wonwoo asked laughing a little bit. “Be truthful with me.”

            “No he’s not my favorite,” I answered. “But he is a close second. Obviously my favorite is Jeonghan.” Wonwoo smiled muttering cute at me before leaving me to rest for a bit.

            I was not about to admit that seeing Joshua in person had made my heart almost beat out of my chest. He looked so beautiful and handsome in person that my brain and my thoughts melted into mush and I couldn’t think properly. I don’t know what it was about him but he just had a natural beauty to him that made it hard to concentrate. He wasn’t the gentleman of Seventeen for no reason.

I fell asleep quickly and slept for about two hours I think before I heard the door knock and heard someone walk into the room before sitting down on the bed. I opened my eyes slowly, widening my eyes. It was Joshua sitting at the edge of the bed I threw my head back banging it on the bed.

            “Are you okay?” he asked quickly looking worried. “Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you. I just wanted to know if you were okay? You didn’t look to well out there when you met all of us.”

            “I am okay,” I answered nodding my head. “I just felt the drowsiness getting to me. But I think I am okay now.” I smiled at him as he flashed a beautiful smile back at me.

            “That is great,” Joshua said. “Um they sent me in to wake you up but to also bring you out so we can get ready to go eat dinner. Jeonghan said you wanted BBQ right?” I nodded my head slowly getting out of the bed, standing up.

            “Yes,” I answered. “I am so excited to be eating BBQ here in Korea. I haven’t gotten to eat BBQ in quite a while.” Joshua smiled at me, taking my hand, leading me out to the living room.

            “The sleeping one awakes,” Mingyu said laughing. “Did you sleep okay hyung?” I nodded my head slowly running my hand through my hair. “Great cause I am starving.”

            “When are you not?” Seungcheol asked laughing. “Well there is a good BBQ place close by our dorm building that we go to sometimes. Let’s head there for dinner.”

            “That sounds good to me,” I said smiling. “I am super hungry now. I haven’t eaten in a while, the last meal I had was crappy airplane food anyways.”

            “Let’s go then,” Jeonghan said. We all made our way to the door slipping on our shoes before we exited the dorm heading into the elevator to head outside. I looked around the elevator thankfully it was a big elevator to fit fourteen guys inside of it. I turned to my right seeing Joshua standing next to me. He briefly looked over to me smiling a little bit.

            “Hyung you’re staring,” Seungkwan whispered into my ear. “What’s got your eye so trapped?” I turned to look at him shaking my head trying not to blush.

            “Mm nothing in particular,” I lied. Seungkwan nodded his head, clearly knowing that I was staring at Joshua. He smiled at me laughing a little bit.

            When the elevator got to the bottom floor we got out of it, heading to the street following Seungcheol as he led the way to the BBQ restaurant. Once we got inside we got led to a back room that could fit all of us.

            “What do you want to order?” Jeonghan asked sitting next to me. “Order as much of anything you like. Tonight’s dinner is all about you.” I looked over the menu before ordering bulgogi and samgyeopsal to start with along with a lot of the potato side dish and japcahe noodles.

            “Do you want to drink soju?” Seungcheol asked looking at me. “Not that most of us can drink it, but Jeonghan, Joshua, you, and I can drink it.”

            “Having a party without us hyung?” Mingyu asked raising an eyebrow at the leader. “I see how it is.” Seungcheol rolled his eyes sticking his tongue out at Mingyu. “We’ll have our own party.”

            “Let’s order one bottle of soju,” Jeonghan said. “Just for fun.” He pressed the buzzer on the table, ordering a bottle of soju and four glasses from the waitress. Finally we got the meat and Woozi put the bulgogi on one of the grills and the pork on the other, giving the tongs to Wonwoo to cook the bulgogi.

            “It smells so good,” I said smiling. “I can’t wait to eat this.” I picked up my chopsticks beginning to eat some of the noodles. Joshua got the bottle of soju, opening it pouring four shots of it.

            “Here you go,” Joshua said. He passed out the shot glasses of soju as the rest of the guys filled their glasses with soda. “Skyler.” I nodded my head, taking the glass from him.

            “Well cheers,” Jeonghan said. “And we can tell you the surprise now.” We all raised our glass. I nodded my head, waiting for him to tell me the surprise. “Well the surprise is that due to pleading and begging, the company and managers agreed to let you live with us in the dorm!”

            “Really?” I asked widening my eyes. “You want me to live with you guys in the dorm?” They all nodded their heads, clearly having already discussed all of this. “I feel so honored. Thank you. I will try to be a good roommate.” I bowed my head.

            “Aww so cute,” Wonwoo said patting my back. “Welcome to the family hyung. You’re going to be stuck with us for a while.” He laughed. “Cheers guys.” Seungcheol, Jeonghan, Joshua, and I clinked our soju glasses drinking our shot.

            “Woo,” Joshua said his lips. “That stuff is strong.” He coughed wiping his mouth. I set down my glass, trying not to gag from the taste.

            “Well I’m done with drinking that,” Seungcheol said shaking his head. “I don’t need any more of that tonight.”

            “Here drink this Skyler hyung,” Mingyu said to me. He poured me a glass of water, handing it to me. I thanked him downing the glass of water getting rid of the alcohol taste.

            “The food is ready!” Woozi announced. “It’s time to eat!” We all quickly picked up our chopsticks beginning to eat the meat on the grills, and the side dishes the talking quickly becoming minimal, as we were too busy stuffing our faces with food.

I was looking forward to living with Seventeen in their dorm even if it was going to be a little crowded. Who wouldn’t want to live with a k-pop group? I was sure I was going to make the best of it.

So the main seventeen members that will be in the story are going to be Joshua, Jeonghan, Mingyu, and Wonwoo but everyone else will be present as well. Anyways I hope you like the first chapter of this story. Comments and anything else would be greatly appreciated.
