Hana woke up bright and early on Friday. She packed her stuff up and went to get ready for the exciting adventure that was awaiting for her. She smiled to herself as for once, she truly felt content and satisfied with her life and blessed.

“Hana!” Halmeoni shouted.

“Coming!” She shouted back. She grabbed her duffel bag and backpack and headed to the kitchen.

“Did you pack everything? Don’t forget anything!” Halmeoni nagged.

“Araso, halmeoni! I have everything! I checked thousand of times”

“Are you sure? What about “that”?” Halmeoni hinted. Hana furrowed her eyebrows and looked at her grandmother, confused.

“What’s “that”?”

Halmeoni chuckled. “Protection…”

Hana finally understood and her cheeks turned red. “Omo…halmeoni!!” She shouted.

All halmeoni could do was laugh. “We’re not at that stage to be doing that and besides, this trip is for us to make memories…happy memories”

“Araso, just be careful”

*Ring Ring*

Hana’s phone rang and she saw it was Daehyun calling.

“Yobosaeyo? Daehyun oppa?” She happily chirped.

“I’ll meet you at the bus stop since we are running kind of late on schedule” He said over the phone.

“Araso. I’ll come over now” Hana hung up the phone and looked at her grandmother, who was smiling at her the entire time.

“Wae?”

“Nothing….just have fun” She said.  Hana picked her bags up and went to hug and kiss her grandmother on the cheek.

“I’ll be back soon and then I’ll tell you everything that happened. Be safe, okay?” Hana said.

“Araso araso, just go and don’t make Daehyun wait for you too long” Halmeoni pushed Hana lightly on the back.  Hana waved to her grandmother before leaving the house.

Hana sped walked to the bus stop, hoping she wouldn’t be late since she’s been late almost every time she met up with Daehyun. She was smiling to herself as she couldn’t contain the excitement. *I finally get to say I’m going on a trip with my boyfriend*

She arrived at the bus stop and saw Daehyun already waiting for her. Hana ran up to him.

“Sorry! I’m always late, aren’t I?” She pouted. Daehyun chuckled. “It’s fine. You’re not so late” She looked up at him and beamed a smile.

“You brought a lot of stuff with you” Daehyun mentioned.

“Ahh, I brought some of my painting supplies. I was planning to do some painting while we are at Jeju”

Daehyun nodded. “That’s great. Oh! By the way, one of my good friends allowed me to borrow his place at Jeju, so that’s where we will be staying at”

“Wahhh, that’s awesome!”

The bus came soon and Hana and Daehyun were off to catch their flight to Jeju Island.
