Second Encounter
Pieces of My Aesthetic HeartIt has been 2 weeks since Hana and Daehyun met. Hana couldn’t get Daehyun out of her head ever since. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any calls or messages between the two yet. For Hana, there were many times she wondered if she should make the first move and send a message to Daehyun, but she didn’t have enough courage to do so.
Hana had just finished taking a shower. She entered her room with a towel around her neck. She plopped down on her bed and grabbed her phone. It was 10:23PM and still not a single message or call from Daehyun. Hana sighed as she dropped her phone next to her pillow.
*KNOCK KNOCK*
Hana looked over at her door and shouted, “come in” as her grandmother opened the door.
“Oh halmeoni” Hana murmured to greet her grandmother.
“Dry your hair before you lay on the bed or you’re going to get sick” Halmeoni nagged.
“I know, halmeoni” Hana’s grandmother looked at Hana and sat on the bed next to her.
“Will you be free tomorrow? I need you to come to the market with me to help me carry some stuff”
“Araso, what time are you going to go?” Hana asked.
“Hm…around 10?”

“Is something bothering you?” Halmeoni asked. Hana made a small noise but halmeoni knew that it meant a ‘no’. She softly sighed.
“Get some sleep soon” She said before closing the door. Hana stared at the wall for a good 3 minutes before she grabbed her phone again to check for any messages or calls.
*What am I doing? Why do I keep checking for messages from him? He’s probably busy….and besides it’s not like I really like him…right?*
Hana got up to blow dry her hair before heading to bed. She sighed one last time before falling asleep.

“Hana, are you ready?” Halmeoni shouted.
“I’ll be ready in 3 minutes!” She shouted back. Hana quickly packed her purse and ran downstairs to meet up with her grandmother.
“What took you so long?”
“Sorry halmeoni! I was packing my bag” Hana went to put her shoes on. When she was done, she linked arms with her grandmother.
“Let’s go” She cheerfully said.
At the market, Hana was pushing the shopping cart alone while her grandmother went to a different section of the market to buy some groceries. Hana was walking down the snacks aisle and looking up and down to see which new snacks caught her eye.
“Try these cookies. They’re pretty
