Hana had finished visiting some museums and it was already getting late. She called Daehyun to see if he wanted to grab dinner together. To her surprise, he agreed.

The two met up at one of their favorite restaurants that makes delicious katsu.
“What did you do today?” Daehyun asked. Hana cut a slice of katsu.

“I visited some museums for some inspiration”

“And how did that go?”

“It could’ve been better”

“Oh..” Daehyun watched Hana continue cutting her katsu.

“Have you been applying to places to showcase your art work?”

“Not really. I don’t feel like I have any worthy art pieces I want to submit in” Hana looked at Daehyun.

“Hey…I have something to ask you” She started to say.

“Yeah? “

“What do you think of me taking a break from painting and helping you with your songs for now?”

Daehyun stopped cutting his katsu and looked at Hana. She was giving him a slight smile and was serious about helping him.

“I think it’s better if you just focused on your painting rather than on me”

Hana sulked and continued cutting her katsu.

The rest of the dinner was quiet. Daehyun was walking Hana home when she saw a stall that was selling couple rings. She gasped and pulled Daehyun over to the stall. She looked at each and every intricate design the stall offered.

“How about this one?” She picked up a simple silver ring and showed it to Daehyun. He nodded in approval. She smiled and put the ring back. She wanted to come back another day to purchase the set of rings for her and Daehyun as a surprise.

“You’re not getting the rings?”

“No, I want to see if there are other stalls too” She lied. Daehyun shrugged and followed after Hana who was already walking off.

The two reached Hana’s home soon.

“Thanks for dinner and taking me home” Hana said.

“Yeah…” Hana leaned in closer to Daehyun and gave him a quick peck on the lips.

“Good night” And with that, she went inside.

Later that night, Daehyun was in bed, staring at his ceiling. He was thinking about Youngjae’s words and then the sudden question from Hana.

It was slowly driving Daehyun insane every time he thought about Hana. He really wants the best for her and he could not imagine Hana not painting anymore because of him. Maybe this was it. Maybe it was time for things to end.
