Chapter 12

Chanyeol looked into you deeply, in his eyes lies sadness, hurt and pain. But at this point, it had no effect on you.

                  “Hwan Hui, please tell me that you feel the same?”.

You silenced as you lowered your gaze. Chanyeol placed both of his hand by your shoulder, holding it firmly. “Hwan Hui, please tell me..”, He spoke, this time he sounded even more pathetic.

You shook your head as you looked into him. “I don’t.”, you spoke and let out a weak smile. He silenced, but his hand was still holding your shoulder firmly. “Don’t lie to me, Hwan Hui. I saw the way you’ve been looking at me this whole time. You can be honest with me.”, He spoke as your eyes widened.

This time, all the pity you felt for him disappeared in a split of second. This time, it was anger, disbelief and hate mixed together. As you removed his hand that was holding your shoulder roughly, you let out a scoff.

“You saw the way I’ve been looking at you this whole time? Yet you still go on talking about the girl you like, not even trying to care about how I might feel? You know what, You’re a ing jerk, Chanyeol.”, You spoke as you stand up, and walked out of the hall.

           And Chanyeol was left speechless.

You were walking back home alone, with regrets all over you. “Oh my god why the hell did I yell to him?? How am I going to face him after this? Ahhh stupid stupid!”, You yelled to yourself as you let out a sigh.

Out of the sudden, your phone buzzed. You searched for your phone through your bag as you unlocked it and saw a message.

Sehun 8:44 P.M.

Go home safely Hwan. Can’t pick you up for today, at hospital with my dad.

You smiled as you typed a reply.

Hwan Hui 8:46 P.M.

It’s okay ^^ say hi to your dad for me hehe

You arrived school pretty late as you didn’t really get a proper sleep last night. You entered your class and fortunately the teacher has not arrived yet.

You walked to your desk and saw both Su Min and Mina had already arrived. You let out a soft smile. “Hey Su Min, Hey Mina.”, you spoke in a greeting tone as you sat by your chair.

Both of them ignored you, and didn’t even turn to acknowledge your presence. You looked into them weirdly. “…guys?”, You spoke as you start putting out all your books. They still didn’t reply and keep ignoring you.

You let out a soft sigh and turned to your left to look at Sehun. But he was already looking at you. You let out a soft smile as he turned his gaze in front.

“Su Min, Mina?”, you spoke again, this time louder. Yet still they act like you don’t exist. “Guys, why are you guys ignoring me?”, You spoke more.

“Why don’t you ask yourself, what did you do for us to be ignoring you, Hwan Hui?”, Mina spoke, the sass tone in her was obvious. You were shocked. “W-What did I do?”, You asked, you really didn’t know.

Su Min looked into you, her face was filled with anger, disappointment, and hurt. “Yesterday Su Min went to the amusement park to give Chanyeol some food she packed herself, but guess what she saw?”, Mina spoke, her eyes were glaring at you.

              You gulped. No way.

“The other workers told her that Chanyeol is at the hall painting the wall, so she went to hall. Just to saw you kissing Chanyeol. So she, being the nice girl she is stormed out of the hall and went back home with teary eye.”, Mina spoke, still glaring at you strongly. Your eyes widened as your heart fastened it pace.

“T-This is a huge misunderstood. I didn’t kiss Chanyeol, he was the one who kissed Me.”, you mumbled in a low tone. Mina let out a scoff. “Why would Chanyeol kiss you? Chanyeol is in love with Su Min, why the would he kiss you, Hwan Hui?”, Mina spoke with a scoff.

“I always knew you were this kind of girl.”, Mina added more, and damn it hurt. “Hwan Hui, I am very disappointed. I trusted you. I really do.”, Su Min spoke, the sadness in her tone was obvious.

        “Guys, please, just listen. I did not-”, you didn’t get to finish your word when Mina let out a scoff and cut you off.

“There’s nothing to be listen to. You’re a . I’ve been seeing you with that freak Sehun lately. What’s up, Hwan Hui?”, Mina spoke with a smirk on her face. Your eyes widened. You can’t explain the burning feeling in your chest upon hearing the word ‘freak’ used to describe Sehun.

“He’s not a ing freak!”, you yelled, loud enough for the whole class to turn their attention toward you. Su Min and Mina were clearly shocked by your sudden outburst as they stared into you with wide eyes.

You were having a hard time controlling your emotions as your eyes get teary, you looked around the class. Whispers and chatters filled the whole class as their attention was around you.

Out of the sudden, Sehun suddenly stand up and walked to you. He grabbed your wrist firmly, his eye looking deep at you. Motioning you to stand up. You stand up almost in an instant as tears fell down from you eye. He started walking out of the class with his finger still wrapped around your wrist firmly.

You were a crying mess. Sehun was still dragging you off to somewhere asthe grip on your wrist tightened each time. As if he was afraid of losing you.

“S-Sehun, where are we going?”, You asked, sobbing. He didn’t say anything. He seemed angry.

The both of you had arrived at the field as he finally stopped walking, he released your wrist. He turned to face you as he stared into your crying face. He let out a sigh and wiped your tears using his palm softly, lovingly.

“Explain.”, He spoke, his tone was cold. You let out a sniffle. “E-Explain what?”, You spoke as you looked into him. He sighed. “Hwan, I’m not deaf I heard what you were fighting with your friends. I know as a matter fact you’re not that kind of girl. There must be an explanation”, He spoke with a soft, subtle smile.

You stared into him with slight wide eyes. “R-Really?”, You asked as he let out soft nod. You couldn’t help but to let out a big smile. “Thank you.”, You spoke as he let out a slight smirk. “Now, explain please.”

You let out a swift nod. “So yesterday, Chanyeol sunbae and I was assigned to be painting the wall, and after our shift, we were resting for a while before heading back home. I was about to drink my orange juice, when suddenly he grabbed my orange juice, and slammed his lips on mine! Then he started ranting on how he felt like strangers with Su Min and felt like it’s home with me, like what the , man.”, You spoke as you let out a sigh.

       Sehun stared into you. His expression remained blank. “Aren’t you happy?”, He spoke as you looked into him with wide eyes. “Why should I be happy?”, You asked, confused.

He let out a small sigh. “Yeah, I mean he’s your crush after all.”, He spoke in a low tone as he turned his gaze away. You silenced as you lowered your gaze.

“H-He’s not my crush anymore. I don’t like him anymore.”, You spoke as you looked into Sehun. You watched over how his lips slowly formed into a small, subtle smile. It’s amusing. Everything he does is somehow just amusing.

“My friends hate me now.”, you added, followed by a small bitter laugh. He looked into you deeply. “True friends won’t do that. True friends would hear you out. They’re not worth it.”, He spoke as you smiled. “You’re right.”, You spoke, laughing softly.

He placed one of his palms upon your cheek. “I am happy of you standing up for me in class earlier.”, He spoke softly, rubbing your cheek just slightly. Your eyes widened as your cheek reddened.

“I-It’s nothing. And it’s true, you’re not a freak! If only they know.”, You spoke as you looked into him deeply. If only they know what kind of a great guy Sehun is.

He let out a soft smile. “They don’t need to know. Now, go to bathroom and wash your face. I’ll head to class first, okay? Don’t cry.”, He spoke as you nodded.

School has finally ended, and both Su Min and Mina were still not talking to you. You packed your things slowly as then all the students one by one left the class.

Sehun slowly approached you. “Hey, you working today?”, He asked as you nodded. “Yeah…”, you muttered lowly as you zipped your bag up. “Okay, okay sit first.”, He spoke as you looked into him with confusion plastered all over you. “Uh, why?”.

          He motioned you to sit. “Just sit.”, He spoke softly as you did as told. He walked next to you and sat by the chair next to you.

You slightly tilted your head, curious of what he’s about to do. He leaned in closer as he tilted his head. He stopped, your nose touching his nose just slightly. That little moment was blissful. How he just stops and stared into your eyes deeply.

The loud beating in your heart couldn’t be explained. Sehun really knows how to make someone feel special. He then poked your right cheek softly using his index finger. “Hey close your eyes.”, He muttered as you did what he told. He tilted his head slightly and planted his lip by your lip softly.

You were shocked of course, but you liked it. Screw that, you loved it. He started moving his lip as he deepened the kiss. The kiss was slow and passionate, and it was as if the time has been stopped.

            Sehun broke the kiss for a while, as his eyes fluttered open. “Will you still be here for me tomorrow?”, He asked softly.

You opened your eyes too as you broke into a smile. “That’s the second time you asked me that. Of course I’ll still be here for you, Sehun.”, You answered with an assuring tone.Sehun’s lips were formed into a soft smile. As he leaned in and kissed you again, you couldn’t help but to smile through the kiss.

 It was your first kiss with Sehun that actually got you feeling something. In your mind, heart, and in your stomach.
