The Medical Checkup
After A Long Long WhileThe day of the examination came. We’re both asked to give our blood sample, urine sample, get our eyesight check and even asked to run on a treadmill and have tubes on our mouth while we’re running to check our lung capacity. Insurance policies sure don’t kid around.
During our treadmill session, a doctor came to me asked me to slow down my pace and stopped running altogether. “I’ll be there as soon as I can.”
TaecYeon receives the same phone call after me, so we’re both head out to the clinic to get our results. On our way I keep on taking deep breaths to calm myself down. I’m too nervous to see my result. I’m not ready to die from a terminal illness just yet—now that I’ve got back on my feet.
Beside me, TaecYeon keeps holding my hand and pats it some time to calm me down. “Happy
