The Wake Up Call
After A Long Long WhileHow can I describe my feeling today? I’m too joyful to even find a word for it. AeRi agreed to go on a date with me. We’re on our way to the Seoul tower by cable car, we know there’re busses running straight to it, but I think we’re just trying being silly and trying things that teenagers do. AeRi looks better this afternoon. She put on an A-line forest green dress with a pair of silver heels. She lets her long auburn hair down and only accessories it with a matching silver hair clip. She looks stunning to me nonetheless.
“So, pick whatever you want okay. I don’t want you to end up starving after this because you’re reluctant to order up.” She hands me the menu.
“Arraseo..” I look through the menu and try to find something that’s not too pricey but also not a salad.
The waiter come to bring us choices of wine, we decided on a 2006 Australian shiraz and we’re both ordering the steak to pair up with the wine.
“Thank you for this.” I raise my glass and she raises hers to for toast.
“No, thank YOU.” she sips her wine. “If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be here today.”
I smiled bitterly. “Are we going to have that conversation?”
She inhales deeply. “I don’t know, are you ready for this kind of conversation?”

“Let’s eat!” She changes the subject and tries so hard to look interested in her plate.
“We’re not going to have dessert here, are we?” I play along.
“Nope, I have another plan for dessert.”
I smirk to this. Is this the way she teases me?
“Ya! I really have another plan for dessert, and it’s not what you think. !”
After the early dinner, we took a bus to the bank of Han River. She has this crazy idea of a picnic by the river bank. During winter.
“Do you know how cold it is today?” I try to reason with her idea.
“I know.” She points a bench and drag me to sit on it.
“Is this the picnic you’re talking about? Where’s the blanket? Where’s the typical bread and wine?” I pinch her nose to annoy her.
“Ya, you’ll ruin my make-up. Stop pinching me.”
I open my coat and wrap it around her.
“TaecYeon-a.. gomawo.” She locks eyes with me.
“It’s just a coat.”
“No, I mean for everything.”
Okay so I guess we’re g
