The Idiot
After A Long Long WhileToday I have a duty to pick up EunJung from school. It’s almost winter break so all parents are gathered to receive their children report card before Christmas and New Year holiday. HaNa’s pregnancy requires her to take a lot of bed rest, therefore any kind of parenting duty happens outside our home is done by me.
I park my car and go straight to EunJung’s main classroom. I’d be lying if I say I don’t hope to see AeRi on my way there. We met last week in a Belgian waffle parlor in the most awkward situation ever. I think she was on a date with that rascal—TaecYeon—judging from the way they’re holding hands. Until today, I still cannot get rid of the look in his eyes, if looks can kill, maybe if it’s just the two of us, TaecYeon would already land his fist on my face.
“Cho EunJung’s parent?” the teacher, Mr. Lee surprised me.
“Anyeonghasseyo, sosengnim.” I bow a little to show him respect.
“Welcome. Please take a seat.” He waves to the chair in front of his desk.
I follow and take a seat. “How’s EunJung doing so far in this school?” I
“I cannot feel any prouder. He’s certainly has blossomed. As we all know, children are very adaptable, within three months since he’s here I notice he’s gaining more friends.” He says offering me EunJung’s report card.
“Does my son have any problems with certain subject?”
“Except for Korean language, he’s doing very well. We’ll work harder to improve his Korean.”
