Imagine: He finds out you're being bullied for dating him
"Wonwoo is everyones, break up now!"
The harsh demand was punctuated by a shove backwards, hard enough to send you reeling into the wall behind the school
"It's because you lot treat him like some stupid candy bar that he's so lonely! Stop being so selfish!" You shot back as you struggled to get onto your feet. Even if it didn't show, you were terrified. In the past few weeks since word had spread that you were dating Wonwoo, the hulking had slowly gotten worse and worse. At first it was murmured curses in the hall, then anonymous notes, textbooks stolen, desk moved, tacks in your locker-- what had started as anger was becoming violence and you were terrified. Today they had called you out, and you somehow doubted they were going to just let you walk away.
You couldn't tell Wonwoo; he was so happy to have someone by his side after being treated like an untouchable painting all his life. And you loved being by his side. The last thing you were going to do was ruin that bliss for him, in any way.
You were ripped from your thoughts of Wonwoo as one of the girls snarled at your response and grabbed you by the hair, pulling you forward. You stumbled to the ground, scraping your hands and knees, as they kept pulling on your hair.
"You aren't good enough for him, you ugly thing! Wonwoo is meant for all of us, so you better stay away--"
You closed your eyes and bit your lip, trying to ignore their continuous curses and the pain in your hands as they kept going. You tried to imagine Wonwoo, letting thoughts of him strengthen your resolve to stay with him. He deserved nothing less.
"What are you doing to my girlfriend."
Your head snapped up as the girls let go of your hair. You knew that voice-- only, you had never heard it sound so dark, so furious. Almost fearing what you would see, you looked up to find yourself in Wonwoo's shadow, his hand gripping the wrist of the girl who was bullying you. She tried to make some comeback, to shake him off, but he wouldn't have it.
"If you ever come near her again, you will have to face me. Do you understand? If you ever hurt her again, there will be hell to pay."
The girls eyes were wide with fear at the ice in his voice but you couldn't feel anything other than a rising relief. It was catching in your throat, tears on the way after. You tried to swallow them down as Wonwoo let go of the girl and they all scrambled away. He watched them dissapear for a minute, making sure they were really gone, before turning back to you
"Oh my gosh, are you okay? Let me see your hands."
Wonwoo crouched next to you, his eternally gentle expression back as he flipped over you hands and looked at the bloody scrapes. He couldn't bear the sight; he pulled you into his arms, rocking you back and forth in the hug. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," he murmured, and you felt a few tears slip down your cheeks as you clung to him.
"It's okay, it's okay," you responded. "You're here now."
"And I won't be going anywhere," he said, pulling back enough to place a protective kiss on your forehead. "Come on, let's go get you cleaned up."
