Welcome to the neighborhood
Yixing Next Door"Rise and shine, lazy bum!" A voice shrills into my ear as something continuously pummels on my bum.
I turn around and I see my best friend, Ga Eun hitting me with a pillow.
"I'm up! I'm up!" I scream in protest.
Ga Eun shoots me a manically excited look.
"Whassup? Why are you here so early?" I croak with my dry throat.
"Look at this, _____! My baby Sehun is casted in a movie role! Finally! Squeal!"
"What. You woke me up from my beauty sleep just to tell me this? Ga Eun!!!"
"Double standards! You did likewise when Yixing got casted for his first movie role!"
Oops, I guess I did.
"Anyways, its a comedic role. Sehun got the role of a bumbling good-looking actor. Not the iest role I know... But hey, at least, he'll still be good-looking! And somehow I think Sehun will nail it! He's got hidden comic flair. I can just feel it!"
"Sure, Ga Eun, sure. Your stone faced idol who always looks straight-faced and glum and deadpans his replies, is a closet comedian. But of course!"
"Hey! Your goody two-shoes, bright-eyed, I'm-innocent-and-cute-thus-I-speak-in-a-pixie-voice rainbow unicorn recently managed to pull off a role reversal of an alpha male villain in his action movie! That was an even bigger shocker!"
"Oh yeah... How hot was Yixing in that role? Lived up to all my fangirl fantasies! Strutting in oh-so-tight suits as a domineering, brooding, gun-toting assassin."
I recall Yixing in his y celluloid incarnation and swoon. Dreamy...
"Ok, Earth calling _____ back." Ga Eun snaps her fingers in my face. "Time to change and wash up! We're going shopping! I'm gonna send Sehun a special care package! What should I get? What's useful at a movie set?"
"Ga Eun... Come on! You're not gonna blow your entire allowance on Sehun again are you? There's no way he can receive and possibly use everything all his fans gift him! It's such a waste! Your gift to him may take up your entire month's expenditure, but to him, it may just be one of the hundreds, thousands of things he doesn't need! Are you sure it's a wise way to spend your hard-earned salary that you scrimp from your part-time job?
All idols should learn from Yixing and refuse gifts from fans so people like you won't wasted your hard-earned money on them! It doesn't make any sense. You, who earn five dollars by the hour, scrimping and saving, just so you can splurge on extravagant branded designer wares for Sehun who earns hundreds of thousands and can more than afford them himself or get them free from sponsors. Why don't you write a nice, heartfelt, encouraging letter to Sehun? Like what I do for Yixing?"
"Don't you get all high and mighty on me, you! Just because yo
