Marriage?!
Fate Decides the Word "Us"Seohyun's POV
Practice ended early and my parents told me to stop by their house that night.
I thought it was a bit strange that they would call because I went to their house every Sunday and they know how crazy my schedule can get.
"Seohyun-ah! Come on in! We have news for you," my mom said, pulling me into the house.
As I took off my shoes, I noticed there were three pairs of shoes that I'd never seen before.
My mom and I walked down to the kitchen and I saw a familiar male figure.
The guy stood up and turned around.
"Changmin-oppa?!"
I hugged him tightly and he returned the hug.
"I'm glad you didn't forget about me, Seohyun-ah."
"Well of course now. You're one of my best friends. Does Kyuhyun-oppa know you're back? How is it in New York?"
"It's good. And I just saw Kyuhyun last night. I missed you guys a lot."
"We miss you too. So what are you doing here?"
The other two strangers stood up and I remembered them as Mr. and Mrs. Shim, Changmin's parents.
"Oh hello, Mr. and Mrs. Shim." I bowed.
"Hello Seohyun-ah. You grew so much. The last time I remember seeing you, you were only half my size," Mrs. Shim said.
"I see you and Changmin are still getting along very well. That's wonderful." Mr. Shim added.
"They're here to discuss something important with us, Seohyun-ah," my father told me as he motioned me to sit down. "Seohyun-ah, we know you've been dating Mr. Cho Kyuhyun, am I right? And I heard he also debut with Su-Super J-Junior? Right?" I nodded. "Well that's the problem here. Super Junior has been gaining a lot of fans and they're well-known throughout Asia and maybe in some Western countries too. How long can you keep your relationship a secret? Sooner or later fans with find out, and we've heard so many accidents that happened to the idols and their loved ones by crazy fans. Changmin here studies overseas and I think it would be best if you go along with him. So we..." he took a deep breath," we have decided to arrange a marriage for you and Changmin."
I sat there, staring straight at my father, slowly processing each and every word.
"You arranged a m-marriage?" I quietly asked.
My mother put a hand on my shoulder. "It's for your own good sweetie. And you're a good girl right? You will listen to us right?"
I looked at Changmin, who seemed to be avoiding eye contacts.
I felt tears slowly building up at the thought of having to leave Kyuhyun behind.
I love him!
I can't do this!
