Chapter Five
StormHand in hand, we run through the quiet streets filling the silence with our footsteps and ragged breath. The cold air exits our burning lungs in puffs of smoke, marking the streets with our passing. We reach home in a matter of minutes, thanks to the adrenaline and our healthy thighs.
