Chapter 1 Arrival

"Finally! I've made it!" I walked out of the plane with a smile on my face looking at the beautiful Seoul airport. "Woah! I've never seen such an amazing airport before." I said to my friend who looked just as stunned as I was. When we entered we took everything in from the building structure to the people. The ceilings were probably 20-25 feet high with glass windows covering all outer walls. There was a set of escalators that led to the bottom floor that was piled with people heading to their planes. When we went down the elevators it started to get crowded. "Wow... This place is packed!" I said getting shoved from all direction.
"You're telling me! I'm being pushed around like a pinball machine! (>.<)" She put her hands up to her face to protect herself. It didn't help much.
I tried joking through the situation. "Well, At least we're normal height now. haha" My friend Sarah and I are 5'3" and we're seen as the "shorties" in our hometown. We could never see over the tall people in our school so we had to jump to get good views of games and assemblies. They were all like skyscrapers to us going from 5'6" to 6"12 and that's counting the girls. We'd have a better advantage here in Korea where people aren't giant Sasquatches.
"Um.. Sarah? Where's the door out of here? The place is too big and there's to many people." I paused thinking of the worst things that could possible happen. "We're gonna get lost! Then someone's gonna come by and kidnap us! ;A;"
"Oh stahp! We'll be fine! Just read the signs and they'll point the way out of here. ^^" She gave me an encouraging smile but I looked back at her with sarcasm.
"Wow. You're genius." I put my two index fingers on my temples. "Let me just use my translation super power and figure out what all this Korean says!"
She looked up with thought before she replied. "Hmmm... Good point..."
I've been learning korean for 2 years but its just basic stuff like "Hello" "goodbye" "I love you". I mean, you can't just watch Korean dramas for 2 years and not learn anything, right? I'm the kind of person who will sit down for hours watching a marathon of karean dramas. Who could blame me though. They give you the feels. Everything that happens to the actors instantly hits you whether its embarrassment or happiness. Best cultural movies? Korean.
~I should of brought a dictionary... Such. An idiot. ~ I quietly put myself down because if I did it out loud I'd get a lecture from my best friend. "We should probably ask someone for directions." I suggested "There's bound to be someone who knows English."
We looked around trying searching for a "walking dictionary". A woman walked past us who looked to have come from America. She was about 5'5" wearing dark blue skinny jeans with convers and an over sized plain red sweater. Her hair was copper and curled covering her shoulders. ~Maybe she could translate the signs so we can get out of here.~ I walked up behind her and tapped her shoulder.
"Excuse me ma'am, but do you know korean?" I asked.
She looked at me up and down, probably shocked by my appearance. I sat on a plain for hours so I wanted to be comfortable. My dress code for the day was sweats and a tank top and cowboy boots that I stole from my mom. I didn't even bother to brush my hair. I put it up in a ratted bun and called it good. Her main focus was on my neck where my dog's collar layed. I had to put my dog down when I was 18 and decided to wear his collar to keep him close to my heart. He was one of the closest pets I'd had so putting him down was like loosing a close family member.
The lady's eyes came back to make eye contact. "Yes, I know Korean... Why do you ask?"
"Do you mind telling us the way out of here?"
She looked around for a minute reading the signs."Well, according to the signs you take a left here and keep straight, then you should find the exit."
I bowed my head to her as a korean form of respect. "Gamsahabnida!"
Sarah and I push our way through the crowd in the direction she'd pointed. I felt like their was a lack of air, that everyone was taking. It started to get really hot and my breathing increased. ~There's too many people... I'm starting to get claustrophobic... @~@~
I looked up over the people to check for a clearing and I ended up finding an opening to the outside of the airport about a hundred feet away. I smiled and turned back to see sarah close behind me. "Sarah!! I see it! I see the exit!"
Once we made it to the clearing I started sprinting. ~I need to get fresh air! I'm almost there~ I ran and ran until I ran right into the clean glass door, hitting my head and falling straight to the ground. I put my hand up to the gash on my head and when I took it away I noticed blood smeared on my finger tips. I panicked and looked around. People started gathering around me. How many were there? 50? 100? 200? They all seemed to split and multiply. ~I'm starting to get dizzy...~ The world around me started to spin then the picture went black.
