“Anything you have in mind to see on day one of six of your tour of Japan?" Myungsoo questioned, slowly keeping his pace, trying not to speed ahead of the elder.

He shrugged. “Why don't we start with tranquil places and slowly get to the crowded, popular, and chaotic places?”

“Good thinking. Come on. I know a place. We'll hang there for a while and then I'll take you back to your hotel.”

Sunggyu's heart sunk at the thought of not being able to see the professor for longer that night. Myungsoo stuck his hands in the pockets of his coat, breathing in the fresh air and cherry blossoms. Spring really makes a person beautiful, Sunggyu thought. Myungsoo was really good looking. Really, really good looking.

“A park? You couldn't be any more original?” Sunggyu remarked, looking around what he wouldn't admit was a beautiful, peaceful park.

“It's not just any park. This is my favorite place to go when I'm not feeling right. It's a really tranquil, beautiful place. That's what you wanted, wasn't it?”

Sunggyu nodded in reply not bothering to make another statement as he watched the younger smile at the trees and play with the texture of its trunks.

“I used to come here a lot when I first moved to Japan. I come here still, but not as often as I used to. I only come here when I'm struggling. Otherwise I'm locked inside or out and about.”

“Shouldn't you be happy about moving to a new place? You said you only come here when you're struggling.”

Myungsoo nodded, sitting down on a bench, hands folding onto his lap. “The thing is, I wasn't. I moved to Japan to start anew. I felt depressed in Korea, I couldn't take it there. I longed for a new life.

“Enough about me. Do you like it here? Or do you need something a little less cliche? Are you tired? Do you want me to bring you back? Where's your hotel? Is it the one b-”

“Calm down, Myungsoo-ssi. We'll leave whenever you're ready.”

Myungsoo couldn't even think straight because Sunggyu said his name and oh my god, Sunggyu said his name. He pushed the thought away. “Hm? What if I don't want to leave?” Myungsoo's lower lip stuck out. “I want to stay here with you...”

Sunggyu nearly cried because the younger was so cute and he couldn't even kiss those pouty lips or hold his body close and say he wanted to stay with him too.

Myungsoo's reluctantly took Sunggyu back to his hotel room not long after, ready to leave the moment they reached his room.

“W-would you like to stay for a bit? It's late... and I don't know how far you live but.. just.. s-stay. I don't want anything to happen to you...” Myungsoo raised a brow. “S-since you're my tour guide and all.”

“Are you sure that's okay? Aren't you busy tomorrow?”

“You can leave whenever.. Just not tonight. It's late and it's dangerous...”

Myungsoo's heart swelled at the thought of Sunggyu being so concerned for him and he tried to resist the smile on his lips. “I'll just sleep there.” He pointed at the couch.

“N-no! You take the bed.. you're my guest.. You need the better part.”

“Are you sure?”

“Of course... you need the best.”

Myungsoo wanted to offer to share the bed, but he knew that they were basically strangers and that would creep the elder out. He nodded without any objections.

Sunggyu woke up the next morning, at first confused as to why he was on the couch, but it then dawned on him that Myungsoo had spent the night because he asked him to.

How embarrassing.

He walked into the bedroom expecting to see the composer sleeping soundly, but instead walked into a neatly made bed with a little note on top.

I apologize for leaving without a warning. When I woke up I freaked out because I realized I had a class today. Here's my number, so text me to find me when it's your time. Break a leg today, you'll do great.

Sunggyu couldn't help the smile on his face when he held the note in his hand. He set it back down on the bed and got changed, then proceeded to tuck it into the pocket of his pants for good luck.

Myungsoo walked into class that day with a bright smile on his face and his students couldn't be more confused at how oddly bright and happy their professor was.

And Sunggyu, was giving his best today during rehearsal and during all the shows, and his cast members were confused at the sudden push and thrive he had just a day before their last show(s).

The next day, Myungsoo was sitting quietly at his desk while his students worked when he received a (long awaited) text, nearly falling out of his chair to see who had texted him.

Freedom at last!!!!! Myungsoo stifled a laugh and couldn't stop himself from smiling at the cute text from the performer. He stared at the text only to be followed by another: Are you at school right now? My apologies ;A; I'm just so happy I don't have to work anymore.

Myungsoo's students eyed him weirdly. “Professor Kim, are you alright? You're smiling like a schoolgirl who got a text from her crush.” Myungsoo squinted his eyes at the kid who made the smart remark that received a lot of snickers and snarky laughs. He didn't mind though — he always joked around with his kids and he enjoyed it just as much as they did.

“Get to work and get your pointy little nose out of my business.” He said while laughing. Thanks to you my students are laughing at me. I nearly got hurt because of you.

And God, did Myungsoo feel much braver over text.

Sunggyu pouted at the message he received back, immediately typing an apology. He was shocked at how casually they were texting — it was easier not having to face the cute boy because in front of him he just felt like a blushing pile of mush.

You may have freedom, but I'm still stuck here. Gotta go. See you tomorrow, stranger.
 

sorry for the short chapter, this one's kind of just a filler, because i needed to do something for those two days, didn't i? i plan to update on saturday with sometjing more interesting. until then, i hope you somewhat enjoy this
