Only You
Jessica’s POV
The bell rang for recess time.
I was snapped out of my daydreaming.
The teacher dismissed us and everybody stood up to leave for lunch.
I stretched and yawned.
Just as I was about to put my hands down, Sooyoung pulled my hand along with Yuri’s and brought us out of the class.
Typical of the shiksin. She always wants to be at the front of the line.
“Can’t you wait even for a few seconds??” Yuri grunted, pulling her hand free from Sooyoung’s grip.
“Like as if you don’t know me. What is wrong with you? You never complained before.”
The bell rang for recess time.

Just as I was about to put my hands down, Sooyoung pulled my hand along with Yuri’s and brought us out of the class.
Typical of the shiksin. She always wants to be at the front of the line.
“Can’t you wait even for a few seconds??” Yuri grunted, pulling her hand free from Sooyoung’s grip.
“Like as if you don’t know me. What is wrong with you? You never complained before.”
“That’s why, Sooyoung! She has been acting like that since just now.” I agreed with her and glared at Yuri.
“Whatever. You two go first. I’m gonna stop by the toilet.” and she turned to walk off.
“Wait! I’ll go with you.” I walked after Yuri.
“Yah! How can you both leave me alone?! Hmph!” she yelled.
“Bye Sooyoungie!”
I could hear Sooyoung grumbling to herself and stomping away.
Then, I sped up beside Yuri and took her hand.
Holding hands have become a habit.
We didn’t care when other people kept looking at us.
We’re close friends. And they’re jealous.
I smiled to myself and held her hands tighter.
I saw a smile creeping across her face when I looked up at her.
“Are you okay, now?” I asked still looking at her.
“Hmm? Yeah.” she looked down at me and smiled.
“So you were not okay earlier. Tell me, what’s wrong?”
“Huh? I was okay since just now.”
“Yeah, right. It’s okay if you don’t want to tell me.”
The smile on my face slowly disappeared and I let go of her hands.
In the toilet, I adjusted my uniform and tied back my hair while waiting for Yuri to come out of the cubicle.
Yuri’s weird behaviour has been lingering in my mind since just now.
What are you keeping from me, Yul?
I sighed and twirled the tip of my hair.
Taeyeon’s POV
“Here’s the cafeteria where we always eat at. Its the nearest one to our block.”
Tiffany only nodded at everything I said and looked around the area which is new to her.
I looked at Sunny, and she was, again, concentrated in her games.
“What do you want to eat?” I turned back to Tiffany and asked her.
“There’s a western shop there.”
“Erm... No, thanks.” she pouted and shooked her head.
“I thought you’d want to eat western food as you just came back from the US.”
“No, I miss eating Korean food.”
“Then, this shop it is. I always buy food from here. Their food are the best!” I put my two thumbs up.
“Okay!”
Sunny went to find a table for us while me and Tiffany went to buy our lunch.
“Wahh!” she hopped and clapped her hands lightly at the sight of the menu.
Everybody’s attention was turned to us.
Oh my god. This is so embarrassing.
I pulled her clapping hands down.
“Fany! Stop! Everybody’s looking!” I half-whispered and half-whined at her.
“Keke. I’m just so excited. It’s been a long time since I eat Korean food, you know.”
I was again dazzled by her bright eye smile.
I gulped and smiled at her cuteness.
You're cute, do you know that?
“What did you just say?”
My eyes widened.
Did I said it out loud??
“Did I say something....?”
“Mmm, yeah. Something about me being cute?” she giggled.
“Thank you. You’re cute too, Taeyeon. And not to mention, dorky.”
I could feel my cheeks turning red and my head automatically looked down.
“Should we get the meal-for-two? I’m not that hungry.”
“Sure, anything. But it’s my treat. Okay?”
She frowned for a while before accepting my offer.
“Thanks again, Tae Tae.”
“Whatever. You two go first. I’m gonna stop by the toilet.” and she turned to walk off.
“Wait! I’ll go with you.” I walked after Yuri.
“Yah! How can you both leave me alone?! Hmph!” she yelled.
“Bye Sooyoungie!”
I could hear Sooyoung grumbling to herself and stomping away.

Taeyeon’s POV

I could feel my cheeks turning red and my head automatically looked down.

Did I heard wrong or did she really called me Tae Tae?
I brushed off the thought and just waited for our turn to order.
Yuri’s POV
“What took you guys so long? I have even finished my food.” Sooyoung questioned ask when we reached our usual table.
Sunny, Taeyeon and......somebody else was already sitting at the table with Sooyoung.

“You were the one who ate too fast, Sooyoung.” I answered her.
Everybody else laughed while Sooyoung scowled at me.
“You’re gonna get it, Yuri.”
“Oh ya. Yuri, Sica, this is Tiffany, a new student in our class.”
“Hi! Nice to meet you.” I waved at her.
Everybody else laughed while Sooyoung scowled at me.
“You’re gonna get it, Yuri.”
“Oh ya. Yuri, Sica, this is Tiffany, a new student in our class.”
“Hi! Nice to meet you.” I waved at her.
Her eye smile was beautiful.
But not enough to change my feelings for Sica.
“Hi Yuri. Hi Jessie...” her expression changed when she greeted Sica.
“Hi.” I heard a soft reply from Sica.
It took quite some time before I realised it.
Tiffany?
Turning my attention to Sica who was sitting opposite me, I noticed how she looked uncomfortable and some what bothered by Tiffany’s presence.
“You know each other?” Taeyeon asked in curiosity.
“Yeah. We were quite close before I left to America...” Tiffany drifted off.
The whole table went silent.
Not long after, Sica stood up and walked off from the table.
Everybody just looked at her leaving.
Then, I decided I should follow her.
At the same time I stood up, Tiffany also rose up from her seat.
“I’ll go.” Tiffany said.
I could only nod and sit back with a heavy heart.
I put my head on the table ignoring the questioning look the others had on their face.
They were thoughtful enough not to ask me anything.
Moreover, they knew my feelings for Sica.
They should have known how I was feeling at that moment.
What must have happened between you two that you didn't want to tell me, Sica?
“Hi Yuri. Hi Jessie...” her expression changed when she greeted Sica.

Taeyeon’s POV
I was quite surprised to find out that you both knew each other. Somehow, very well.
It was more crushing when you followed after Sica.
Why am I feeling like this?
Why do I get jealous when I've just met you today?
I was too busy thinking about my own feelings and totally forgot about Yuri.
Unfortunately, Sunny realised that I was not okay.
“I don’t think they’ll be coming back any sooner. I’m gonna go back to class with Taeyeon. Take care of Yuri, alright Sooyoung?” Sooyoung acknowledged Sunny and Yuri’s back.
“Bye. See you two later.”
Sunny stood up and pulled me with her.
We walked slowly back to class as we still had plenty of time left before afternoon class starts.
“You didn’t eat.” I pointed out.
“I’m still full from breakfast. Don’t worry about me and worry about yourself instead. Are you okay?”
“You think?”
“Wow, you really like her, huh?”
“I don’t know...”
I heard Sunny sighing.
From that, our conversation ended.
