Confession

Our Scenario

Dinnea’s POV: The day was seemingly normal, except for the fact that Diona, Kiyo, and her friend Haku were all missing from class. Sighing I looked over at Naki and asked, “Where is everyone?” He looked tense before saying, “You didn’t hear? Kiyo and Haku both got into it over Diona…” “What?!” I exclaimed while popping up from my chair. Naki looked around shocked, but I didn’t care. “Where are they now?” I asked wanting answers.  All of a sudden a deep voice answered behind us. “Kiyo and Haku are both in the principal’s office, and Diona ran from the school.”  Looking over my shoulder, I saw a bored looking Takashi staring out the window next to him. “What do you mean she ran away from school, and why aren’t you more concerned? It does involve you brother after all…” I said glaring at him. His ice blue eyes looked up at me, and I swear I felt my heart skip a beat. “Because I know Kiyo can handle himself, besides it was a long time coming anyway. Diona on the other hand is a different story. You’d think you’d be more aware considering she’s your best friend after all.” Takashi fired back. “Shut-up Takashi, you know those two aren’t always together.” Naki said in my defense. Rolling my eyes I sat back down, and took out my cellphone to quickly text Diona. “Where are you? Are you ok.” After I sent the text a group of girls were all laughing as they came into the classroom, and one of those girls included Naomi. “You should’ve seen her face this morning, it was priceless.” She said while taking her seat. “Yeah, how stupid of her to think that he was actually into her.” One of the girls said. “Yeah she totally high-tailed it out of here, maybe next time she’ll know to never mess with things that are mine…” Naomi said. It took me a second to figure out that they were talking about Diona. “That !” I thought. My fists clenched in anger as I continued to listen to them giggle.

Everything must have been a lie… Haku never liked Diona, he was just playing wing man while Naomi tried to get with Kiyo. To think that they would stoop this low to hurt Diona pissed me off. Standing once more I turned to try to make my way over to her and her group, but I was stopped by a hand on my wrist. “Don’t.” Takashi simply said. I jerked my hand away ignoring his warning. It was too late to stop me; Naomi had crossed the line, and she wasn’t about to get away with it. I wasn’t just going to say a few choice words. No, I was looking for blood. Probably sensing the tension Naki stood to block my way. “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Takashi has a point. Now’s not a good time to confront her about this…” He said skeptically. “Give me one good reason not to punch her face in right now..” I said angrily at him. He looked behind him for a couple of seconds then looked back at me. “She’s my sister Dinnea…I can’t allow someone to try to hurt her.” I looked at him shocked. “So you’re saying she should get away with this just because she’s your sister?!” I asked incredulously. “Yes, no, I don’t know… She did something terrible ok, I know that, but confronting her right now in front of the whole school will look bad for you. Kiyo and Haku already got in trouble for fighting today which means Haku might get detention because his father is the principal, but Kiyo might get suspended instead. I don’t want that to happen to you too. I’ll try confronting her later, but let me try to talk to her first before you start throwing fists at my sister…” Naki pleaded. I glared at him, but then I let out a deep sigh. “Fine I understand you’re just trying to look out for your sister, but if she and her crew don’t all give Diona a sincere apology by the end of tomorrow…just know I’ll be looking for her myself.” I said before sitting down.

I was fuming, not only was I mad at Naomi and her band of fakes, but I was also disappointed that Naki had to be related to someone as horrible as her. I’ll let it slide for now, but if my best-friend didn’t get the apology that was owed to her by tomorrow…I was going to set it off in this , and no one was going to stop me.

For the rest of the day I avoided Naki around school because I just couldn’t look at him, and not think about what his sister did. Deep down inside I knew that there was something not right about Haku, and know I know why. I sure hoped that Kiyo gave Haku the beating that he deserved because if not I’ll be sure to pay him a visit too. Everyone must have sensed that I was on a blood path because for the rest of the day everyone seemed to stay out of my way, even Takashi…

When school was over I was packing my things away in my locker to leave, when I hear yelling coming from one of the classrooms down the hall. I looked around seeing that most of the students had left already for the day. “I wonder who that could be?” I thought as I closed my locker and made my way down the hall towards the ruckus. As became closer I realized that the people who were yelling was Naomi and Naki! “What you did today was a complete move imoto (younger sister). So how could you possibly think that your plan to get Kiyo would work out?!” Naki yelled. “The plan was to distract Diona so I could move in, I didn’t expect Kiyo to have feelings for her too!” She fired back. “And how did that work out for you Naomi-chan because it looks to me that you got your crush suspended, the person who helped you in trouble, and you broke a girl’s heart. So what exactly did you accomplish?” He asked curiously. “That gaijin got in the way, so I made her learn a lesson. It was only for fun onii-san, I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone, I just wanted more time with Kiyo without that girl around.” She said in a whiny voice. “Oh yeah, and how do you think Kiyo will feel when he learns that this was your entire plan?” Naki said in a stern voice. “You wouldn’t…” “Oh I would because if you don’t apologize to Diona you can kiss your shot at him goodbye.” Naki promised. “Why are you being so mean to me onii-san, don’t you want to see me happy?” She said pulling to guilt card. “I do…but not if it involves hurting other people. Kiyo’s my best-friend, I don’t want to see him get hurt. Also that girl you made cry happened to be Dinnea’s best-friend, and she was ready to beat the crap out of you today if I hadn’t of stopped her. See you don’t fully understand the consequences of your actions, and who all they effect_” “Hold on don’t tell your talking about the other gaijin that you’re always hanging around with?” Naomi said interrupting. “Yes, that’s her, and stop calling her and her friend gaijin’s they have names you know.” Naki said irritated. “Tch, well they are! You need to stop being so nice to them, they aren’t like us Naki.” She said. My fists clinched in anger. “Oh yeah what are they then if they’re not like us because the last time I checked we were all human beings imoto.” Naki said defiantly. “Whatever Naki, you’re only doing this because you have some odd fascination with that girl! Is that who the necklace is for…?” She asked slyly. “Necklace…what was she talking about?” I thought as I leaned in to hear more. “W-why are you changing the subject Naomi, this isn’t about me it’s about you. How’d even know about the necklace anyway? Were you spying around in my room?! ” He said irritated. “I wasn’t spying…I needed a pencil one day, and you weren’t in your room for me to ask so… I saw it sitting in a box on your desk, and I might’ve peeked to see what was inside.” She admitted. Naki sighed in frustration. “Stay out of my room Naomi; you had no right to be in there.” Naki said. “Guessing by how upset you’re getting from me bringing up the necklace proves my assumptions right…” She said confidently. “Yeah and what would that be?” He asked. “You like her…” She simply said. Hearing this I could swear that I felt my heart skip a beat. Surely what she was saying couldn’t be true, but with Naki’s silence I knew it had to be. “So it is true. Tch, wait till mom hears this she’ll be livid. Heh, or better yet maybe my lips will accidentally slip in front of Kiyo’s brother. I hear he has a thing for her too. It would be a shame to figure out that someone else was trying to move in on his girl, and that someone was the person he hated…” She said blackmailing him. “Let’s get one thing clear Dinnea isn’t his, and will never be. I don’t care who you blab this off to Naomi, it isn’t going to change what you’ve done. So, you have till the end of tomorrow to apologize to Diona, and if you don’t I have a friend who absolutely love to her hands on you… Do you understand?” Naki said real low that I almost missed what he was saying.

Hearing footsteps coming towards me I took of down the hallway, and turned the corner so that they wouldn’t know I was eavesdropping. My breathing was so hard that I had to clamp my hand over my mouth so no one would hear me. My mind was still reeling over the confession that took place. Naki likes me…I was trying to figure out how that made me feel, but I couldn’t come up with any logical explanation. Sighing I peeped around the corner to see if anyone was still there, and jumped when I saw Takashi leaning against the wall in front of me. “Geez! Don’t you make any noise?” I said irritated. He chuckled. “Only when I want to, anyway are you still here?” He asked leaning closer to me. I quickly straightened clearing my throat. “I-I had some work I needed to finish up s-so I stayed a little later than usual.” I said lying. He looked me dead in the eyes. “You wouldn’t be lying to me now would you?” he inquired. “ he knows.” I thought anxiously. I broke our eye contact to look anywhere but his face. “N-no, I’m not. Why are you still here anyway, aren’t you supposed to be haggling some kid for lunch money or something?” I said half-joking. He smirked while bringing around a sports bag that hanging on his shoulder. “Judo club.” Was all he said. Takashi was a man of few words, but only sometimes did he actually say more than two sentences. Seeing my exit from this awkward conversation I turned towards to hallway while saying, “Makes sense. Well good luck that, I’m going to head home today’s been such a long day.” I said actually being truthful. “Fine, but just so you know…you are mine.” Takashi said with such conviction, and with that he swung his bag back over his shoulder, proceeded to walk down the opposite direction of the hallway. I stood there stunned not sure how he heard to conversation between Naki and Naomi, unless he was there the whole time… Shaking my head I decided to pay no more attention to it, but I knew I wasn’t able to stop the heavy beating of my heart form his words.

Chapter 26: Oh wow Haku turned out to be a big jerk. I alwats believed in Kiyo's affection for Diona and kind of glad that the triangle is broken. I love your characters and that they aren't just one dimensional, so it gives us a liitle shock when their personalities show. I'm happy Kiyo protectrd her honor but with Haku being the principal's kid I hope he doesn't get in too much trouble

Chapter 25: Bruh, Takashi tho~…like I don't even know what to think of him right now - I'm perplexed about how I should feel about him. I know there is something deep between my ship, but damn I didn't know they were twin flames.
I'm like happy, but there is something else, some unidentified emotion that is spurring within me. I really enjoyed this chapter! Everything feels so..interesting.
