♔ Chapter 10 ♔

 「 JOONMYUN POV 」

Minseok and his family arrived to the hospital after Baekhyun had called them. Again, we almost went into a fist fight in the middle of the hospital, but looking at the situation we didn't. Jenny, of course recognized me well, but I could care less if she told her parents what I really was. I disguised myself as her guardian angel and used her to get to her aunt. And now, I'm in a situation that has never happened between a mortal and immortal. Na Mi is carrying my unborn child, but after today, it's possible that he or she will be lost. What I said to her when she revealed her pregnancy to me was something I wished I took back, which led me to this guilt. 

The doctor rushed out of the emergency room and looked around. "Baekhyun, palliwa!" He shouted while grabbing onto Baekhyun's arm. "Why, hyung, what happened?!" The doctor shook his hand and breathed heavily. "We're low on blood supply. I need you because you're going to be a blood donor to her alongside of me." Minseok stood up and asked why would he ask him for blood. Minseok did have a point, they are siblings and most siblings share the same blood. 

"We're O positive, Min. We'll take care of the blood." The doctor said to him as he patted his shoulder. "But I'm her brothe-" his sentence was cut short by the doctor, "And so are we. Min, I promised her that I'll take care of her through the better and worst. We're wasting time, Min. I have my companions watching over her while we get this done. The impact between her and the coffee table was crucial. With that being said, the amount of blood she's losing can affect her. She could die." Minseok bit his thumb and nodded, pushing both the doctor and Baekhyun out of the waiting room. The door closed behind them as I watched them run down the hall. 

I sighed and sat down as my eyes trailed to Minseok. "Not to intrude or anything," I started off as Minseok's wife, Hyemin, looked at me, "but what's your relationship between your family, Baekhyun, and the doctor?" Minseok was too busy worrying as his wife chuckled. 

"Minseok and Na Mi grew up with the two. Baekhyun and Luhan are half brothers through their father. They're all friends, who had grown up together and pursued their dreams in wanting to help people. Na Mi became a pediatrician because of her love for children. Baekhyun became the surgeon and doctor that affiliated alongside Na Mi, when she had a patient with a disease, tumor, or cancer; she recommends them to Baekhyun. Luhan, on the other hand, he's a doctor that works in the same hospital as Na Mi. We're just a group of people that we call each other family, basically." I nodded to Hyemin's statement as Jenny whined her lap. 

"And Na Mi and Baekhyun's relationship?" Minseok sat up and sighed, "They're ex's that dated back in junior high and high school, but as of right now, they look to each other as best friends and siblings. That's why Baekhyun worries the most for her. The two are basically the worst partner in crime team you'll meet." He paused as it allows me to ask why. "Even though they're grown adults with a very successful career, the two are basically master minds of pranks." He chuckled as his wife did alongside. "Sometimes I think they plan those pranks on their best friends day, honey." She said. 

"Best friends day?" I asked. Minseok looked to me with a smile, "It's a certain day in the week where they hang out and have fun. Mostly, it would be when they have their days off. Or when their schedules coincide, usually." I nodded as Baekhyun rushed back with loud panting. "What happened? How did it go?" Minseok got up. Baekhyun panted while handing Minseok his phone, car keys, and wallet. "I'm going in there." I got up with wide eyes. "Hyung wants my assistance in the operation. While he operates, I install the blood." Minseok nodded and patted his brother on the shoulder, giving him the words of take care of her.
