He pulled you closer to him and crushed his mouth to your lips.

You pushed him away at once, your face heavily disapproving.

“Why did you kiss me?!” you bellowed.

You threw him a withering look.

“What’s wrong?” he stared at you, body motionless with surprise.

The blood rushed into your face, fueled by irritation and chagrin.

“I hate you!” you screamed at his face.

“I know that you love me.” He pulled you tighter to his hard chest, tucking your head under his chin.

He heard your heart accelerate.

He waited, grimly triumphant, for you to find your voice.

“I was originally a girl. I only have a few days left to live as a guy.” His face was suddenly wary.

“What?!” you asked in a horrorstruck voice.

“I saw what happened to you, that’s why I decided to help you.” He pulled out a crooked smile.

“You did?” your anger suddenly vanished.

“Mhm.” He nodded.

He put his hand over yours to put it to his face.

“I’m not supposed to tell you since I will get into a deep trouble.” A pained look tightened his face.

“I’m guessing that we’ll both get into trouble.” You whispered, smiling weakly, trying to make a joke out of it.

He laughed a shaky laugh.

“Does your brother know?”

“Know what?” his voice faltered at the end.

“That you were originally a guy.” Your eyes darted ahead and then back to Kwangmin.

You threw a sharp look at his face. He seemed at ease.

“Yes.” He was as cool as a cucumber

“Oh, I’m guessing that he’s a girl too.” You held up one finger.

“Well…Let’s just change the subject.”

He took your hand and interlaced his fingers with yours.

“I like you. I really really do.” He looked at you straight in the eye.

You swallowed the lump stuck in your throat.

“Please say that you like me back. So that I will be able to live as a guy for the rest of my life.” He begged.

“But I don’t. You’re just a friend to me.” Your throat suddenly felt swollen; you had to clear it twice before you answered.

“I’m confused.” You felt your face harden.

You sprinted for the stairs.

You locked yourself inside your room.

You folded your arms across your chest and stared out the window and into the sheeting rain.

Your mind was filled with questions.

“I need to move out today.” You crumpled your forehead.

“Don’t.” a voice broke the stony silence.

You turned around and saw Hyerin.

“I need your help. I need you to change me back into a guy right now.” You requested.

“No, don’t you dare hurt Kwangmin’s feelings.” She said flatly.
