You dragged your feet to your bed.

“She’s treating me like a 5 year old!” you groaned.

“What did you say?” your mother heard you.

“I didn’t say anything!”

You fished out your phone from your pocket and you quickly dialed your girlfriend’s number.

She didn’t answer since she was still disappointed because of the incident that happened earlier.

“Let’s meet at the park.” you sent her a text message.

Your mother went to her room and lied down on the bed, with her eyes glued to the ceiling. She wanted to wait for your father to arrive.

You realized that the house became peaceful and quiet.

“I can take this opportunity to meet up with my girlfriend.” you were grinning from ear to ear.

You tiptoed towards the door and twisted the doorknob. You opened it ever so carefully so that you won’t make too much noise.

Unfortunately, your door made a loud creaking sound.

“~~~! Go back to sleep!” your mother screamed.

“Neh!” you replied.

You scurried back to you room.

“I don’t want my girlfriend to break up with me.” you pouted.

“What should I do?” you asked yourself.

You shifted your gaze to the door and suddenly thought of something.

“I’m a genius!” you let out an evil laugh.

You poked your head out of the window and roughly guessed the height of your house.

“I just wish that I wouldn’t injure myself.” you gulped in a big amount of air and placed your feet on the window ledge.

When you were about to jump out of the window, someone suddenly knocked on the door.

It was your father.

Your mother darted out of the room and opened the door for your father.

“Are you hungry? Do you want to eat?” she asked your father.

“Where’s ~~~?” your father changed the subject.

“He’s inside his room.”

“What is he doing?” your father narrowed his eyes.

“He’s sleeping.”

You can hear their conversation loud and clear.

“They don’t trust me.” you mumbled to yourself.

You placed your feet back to the floor.

“I need to show them that I’m already mature. I’m not a kid anymore.” you said with overwhelming determination.
